There are a few possible ways to reset the Ford Focus anti-theft security system. One way is to put the physical key in the lock, and then turn it to the unlock position. Do this, without moving it away from that unlock position for about 30 seconds. After that, You can unlock the car and start the engine. This will trigger a reset of the system. You can also turn the ignition off and tap the lock option on Your key fob. This will usually lock the car, and then reset the anti-theft system. Keeping Your car safe from intruders is a crucial thing, and being able to alert You when there's a breach is important. However, it can be triggered even if You are just doing normal everyday things, so it is good to know how to reset it.

The anti theft system can be reset by unlocking the car with the key and putting the ignition on and back off.

Sensor on bonnet lock may be d***y and needs cleaning or needs a new sensor. Try disconnecting wires to sensor.

If there is a disconnect with the power control module, no amount of fiddling with key or other reset efforts will start the car. You have to take it to the dealer.
