To reset the ECU in a Honda Civic You'll first want to warm the engine. Drive around so that You will not be doing a cold start. Turn off the car and disconnect the battery. You can also opt to pull the ECU fuse which is located under the hood in the engine compartment fuse box. Reinsert the fuse and start the car making sure to close the hood. Allow the car to idle for at least 10 minutes. Do not touch the gas nor brake pedals. All accessories should also be off. Turn the car off and back on again then drive for the computer to relearn the fuel trim.
