There are two ways in which You can do a throttle body reset on a Honda. The first is very simple. It requires using a scan tool, which is the method favored by most mechanics, dealerships, auto shops and experts. If You dont have a scan tool on hand, dont fret. Resetting the throttle body on a Honda is very simple. First, put in Your key and set the ignition to RUN for 3 seconds. Then, start the car and try to rev it up to approximately 3,000 RPM. This should force the radiator fans to come on. Once the fans come on, let the car sit idle with all accessories disabled. After a few minutes, turn the car off. This should have resulted in a complete throttle body reset in most Honda cars.

Shops perform a honda throttle body reset with a scan tool, but you can do it manually by following this procedure: 1) switch the ignition key to the run position for 2 seconds. Don't start your car. 2) Start the engine and run it at 3,000 rpm until the fans of the radiator turn on. 3) Then leave the end idle for five minutes with no loads (lights, heated seats, rear defogger, blower motor, radio, etc. Off) 4) after five minutes, shut down the engine.

I have made several attempts to relearn the IAC ...as Jeremy suggested see text above.l don't own or have Access to a ob scan tool to reset the throttle body in my 2008Honda Accord LX-S coupe.does anyone have any.Suggestions?

The relearn 3000 rpms on an 03 element is GARBAGE. IT.DOSENT WORK. QUIT POSTING THAT IT DOES.

I removed and replaced the electric throttle body on2007 2.4L accord. It started just fine, check engine light came on and I drove it. Took approx. 30miles for the check engine light to go away.
