The correct gasoline to use in the 2017 Chevy Suburban iS87 octane regular unleaded gas at MINImum. If You use anything below that then You run the risk of damaging Your vehicle over time. If You've got a model that is marked as being E85 then You'll also have the option of using E85, also known as FlexFuel. You should consult Your owner's manual to make sure which model You have before attempting to fill up on FlexFuel. This vehicle has a fuel tank capacity of 31 gallons but it's not the best vehicle as far as mileage goes. On average You should get about 16 mpg in the city with around 23 mpg of highway driving. -

The Suburban is not a fuel-efficient vehicle, it is very large and requires a lot of fuel to power its 5.3L V8 engine. In the city gas mileage can be up to 26 mpg and on the highway, it gets up to 23 mpg. Luckily, the manufacturer does not recommend premium gas for this engine so, the consumer can save a little bit by using regular gas.
