The vast majority of model years and engine sizes of the Dodge Charger will use unleaded gasoline with a MINImum octane rating of 89 (oR87 where elevation permits). There are a few notable exceptions, but without more information on Your specific Dodge Charger, it can be difficult to give specific information. If Your Charger is fitted with a FlexFuel engine, it's possible to use E85 gasoline safely. There are advantages and disadvantages to this approach, so consult some resources on that before making Your decision. Also, of note, the 5.7L V8 hemi requires 91 or higher octane unleaded gasoline when paired with the manual transmission -- the automatic transmission variant still requires the same 89 octane fuel.

Regular unleaded gasoline is used for most of the 2018 Dodge Charger trims. The 3.6 liter engine SXT, the SXT Plus, the GT and the GT Plus, all use regular unleaded gas. Also, the 5.7 liter Charger R/T and the 5.7 liter Charger Daytona use regular unleaded gas. The larger, 8 cylinder engine Dodge Chargers all are recommended to use premium unleaded gasoline only. Those trim models are the R/T Scatpack, the Daytona 392, the SRT 392 and the SRT Hellcat.
