On the 2004 Nissan Murano, You'll find the fuel filter inside of the fuel tank, as part of the fuel pump assembly. This is not considered a serviceable part, as the entire fuel pump assembly will need to be removed and replaced in order to swap out the fuel filter. Luckily, though, Nissan makes the overall replacement relatively simple, by giving drivers access through a panel below the rear seats. Still, the fuel filter in the '04 Murano is made to last a lifetime, so if You're having symptoms which You believe can be traced back to the filter, it's more likely that You're having issues with Your fuel pump, a fuel injector, or a fuel pressure sensor -- it's exceedingly uncommon that these fuel filters get clogged.
