The AUX input in a 2009 Acura MDX can be found in the center console of the vehicle. There is both a 3.5mm jack and a USB port located in here and You can connect MP3 players and smart devices to them in order to use them as an Audio source in the car. As more people have moved to using external devices in cars many brands have opted to install AUX inputs in their vehicles. This allows people to have more choices for music than just using CD's or radios. In many newer vehicles brands have even gone as far as to remove the CD player from the vehicle because sales of physical media are down so much these days.

There is no aux jack on models equipped with the rear entertainment system. On the rear console you’ll need to use the red and white plug ins with an aux jack to make it work.
