The 2011 Acura TL uses SAE 5W-20 oil in the engine. Acura recommends that You use synthetic oil whenever You need to change it in Your car. The two most common types of oil that You will find these days are synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is made with newer technologies than conventional and that lets it last longer. It is also capable of giving You greater protection for the moving components in Your engine since it is formulated to do so. It is a good idea to check Your oil at least once a month in Your car. During this check You should make sure that the oil is properly filled and free from any debris or signs of damage.
