The 2013 Hyundai Sonata starter will be mounted above the oil filter and below the A/C compressor below the driver side of the cylinder. The starter is a bit of a challenge to get to and remove the part, and You're going to have to get under the car where the transmission meets the engine block. You'll need a 14mm socket to detach the bolts from the starter. Ensure that You unplug the battery cables. You'll find the nuts behind the plastic air vent just below the turbo to open the heater hose. The cost of the replacement starter will range from $65 to $120 depending on whether it is an OEM item or an aftermarket item.
