The fuel filter on Your 2016 Chevrolet Cruze is located on the drive side frame rail, almost at the driver door. Just follow the fuel line underneath to find it. A replacement filter that'll work in Your vehicle is the Carquest Premium Fuel Filter 96538875, which runs about $26. To replace the fuel filter, jack up Your vehicle, remove the fuel composition sensor bracket nuts and push to the side. Disconnect the fuel line fitting from the fuel filter. Pull the fitting back until the internal retainers hit the filter stop. Once the filter is disconnected, remove the quick connect fitting, and then pull the filter away. Reverse the procedure to install the new fuel filter on Your Cruze.
On the 2016 Chevy cruze the fuel filter is located inside of the gas tank, on the back left of the vehicle.
