The other answers are wrong. A full-size spare will fit under Gen 4 (DS) and Gen 5 (DT) RAM 1500s. That is assuming you have the original size tires or a modestly larger size.

My 23 ram 1500 came with a full size temporary use only spare. I went to my near by tire store and had them mount a regular full size tire, the same size that came on the truck, on the steel rim that came on the truck. It fits under the truck just fine.
