The stock radio amplifier in Your 2007 Chevy Silverado is located beneath the center console. To access it You will need to completely remove the armrest and storage portion of the console. You can do this by removing the two screws at the bottom of the console on both the passenger and driver side of the truck. After that You will need to remove the 4 screws that are inside the storage compartment under the armrest flap, these are sometimes covered by a rubber mat. Once You have the console out You will need to unbolt a metal cover that is held down by four bolts which will give You access to the amp which is held down with four screws.

There's no time from the key left in the ignition when the door is open and only the tweeters are working on the radio
