The oil pressure sensor in a 2008 Chevy Tahoe can be found at the rear of the engine near the base of it on the driver's side. This sensor has the job of measuring the oil pressure inside of Your engine to make sure that it is within the normal operating range. If You have no oil pressure at the gauge in Your dash then it is most likely a problem with this sensor. You will also usually get a check engine light on Your dash since the ECU will not be getting any signals from the sensor as well. Replacing the sensor is pretty straightforward and should cost under $200 if You have to have a shop handle it for You.
