The starter on the 2010 Chevrolet Traverse has the same location as all 2009-2015 model years of the same; you'll find it occluded behind the motor mount below the oil filter. If you're looking to repair or replace, you'll need to first remove the motor mount in question in order to gain any sort of meaningful access. The replacement isn't too difficult, but you'll need to remove a few things along the way. With an extension, first remove the 18mm nut that's visible below the oil filter. Then, proceed to underneath the vehicle to remove the entire motor mount. Before you begin, be sure that the vehicle is jacked up, the negative battery terminal is removed, and you've taken precautions to prop up the engine itself.
