The fuel filter on the 2010 Ford F-150 is located in the gas tank and is a lifetime fuel filter that does not need to be replaced.A fuel filter is a filter in a fuel line that screens out dirt and rust particles from the fuel, and is normally made into cartridges containing a filter paper. They are found in most internal combustion engines. Fuel filters serve a vital function in today's modern, tight-tolerance engine fuel systems. Fuel filters will generally need replaced once a year for most drivers, but those with high monthly mileage may need to replace it more often. A fuel filter replacement costs between $50 and $170 for most cars to have the work done by a mechanic, while You can order the part itself for between $10 and $60.
