If You know where to look, it's relatively easy to find the mechanism to open Your 2018 Ford Escape's hood. While the interior lever is in the typical position, it bears no markings indicating what it is. You'll find it near the driver's side door, around where Your left foot would sit if You were driving. Grasp it and pull it out towards You, and this will pop Your hood. Next, You'll go a bit left of the center of the front of the car. Use the Ford emblem as a starting point, and find the yellow lever several inches to the left. Pull it to the right while lifting up on the hood, and it should release and raise for You.

The hood release lever on a 2018 ford escape is below the dashboard, near the driver's door hinges. After pulling the lever to pop the hood open, another safety latch under the hood on the radiator top panel must be pulled and the hood stick used to further open the hood and hold it in place.
