The Toyota Prius battery location is beneath a plastic molding on the far right, in the rear of the trunk. The usual cost for a Toyota Prius battery replacement is between $1,292 and $1,357. Labor costs are priced between $260 and $326 while parts are priced at $1,041. You will come into issues with this part during the life cycle of the vehicle. For one, the battery can just be completely out of juice. You will need to recharge or replace it at this point. There can be a leak, causing the fluid to come out. The battery can drain quickly and will need to fixed. A cracked case could come about and will need to be replaced completely.

This depends on whether you are talking about the 12v battery or the hybrid battery. 12v is under plastic cover on the right side inside the trunk. Hybrid battery is also in the trunk but you need to remove the trunk storage compartment in able to get to it. 12v battery is $150 - 200. There are many different options for the hybrid battery, new cells, rebuilt or new. Year and model affect actual price.
