The Ford Escape's radio display may stop working if the system's wiring is faulty or You need a factory re-boot of the Audio. To perform a re-set of Ford sync and its stereo screen, follow the outlined steps below. Disconnect the positive battery cable attached to the battery and wait 30 minutes. Re-connect its cables and turn on Your vehicle. The Audio will be re-set and the screen should work. Follow any prompts that may appear. If these steps don't get results, locate the cabin fuse box on the left-hand side of the passenger's footwell, and pull and replace the 20 amp radio fuse, which is number #39. Lastly, a radio failure may be caused by a faulty FDIM or "front display interface module." For more complicated replacements visit a local dealership.

Mine stopped working today, hold power button and forward search buttons at same time for 15 seconds to fix display screen. Not sure what triggered it but I had my charge cable plugged in when I started the car. My phone was not plugged into the cable.
My 2021 Ford escape touch screen will turn on and will connect to my phone but I cannot control sound I cannot turn the radio on it just stays on the home screen if you try to hit the auto it will not go anywhere because the auto will not turn on at all but I can do anything else on there like the phone and settings and stuff but other than that I cannot hear anything coming from the radio cannot turn the radio on the car lot told me it was due to the heat but this morning when I got into my car it was not hot but yet it's still not working I have tried everything I've done before and it still will not come on

I noticed my display did not come up sometimes after starting the car. I discovered that although the car will find my phone via Bluetooth, if I hook up the phone using the USB before starting the car, the car’s display will not boot up. Now I don’t plug the phone into the USB until thecar display has completed booted up and recognizes my iPhone via Bluetooth. I am talking about maybe 15 seconds. Since following that procedure, I have not had a problem.
The display only comes on when I turn on my head lights other than that I have nothing and then the display is only the radio. Now the radio will come on when I turn my key in the ignition a certain way but that's rare.

My screen only shows the radio station call letters and frequency. It happened sometime before christmas and I thought it was because they were playing christmas songs and not the regular rotation of music on my station... I'd like to go back to knowing names of songs and the artist... Any suggestions? TIA

My radio and my 2017 escape won't work it has the my phone cell phone it has the time on and it has the degrees on but I can't get it to come on I don't know what's wrong with it
Sadly I have to use the “power and forward” hold multiple times while driving AND every time I start my 2021 escape. It also says”turn off ignition or start car to save battery “. The ignition is off and still it acts as though it is not and displays a bar showing the battery level being drained. What a hunk of junk. Last Ford I will ever buy. This vehicle was taken to the dealer multiple times for the screen issue prior to the warranty expiring. Clearly they never fixed the problem. Now they want us to pay to have it addressed. Stay away from Fords!!!

Thanks Darryl B . Worked great for me too. Tried before key in the ignition.
I read up on line. Blue tooth and syncing issues. Had to unsync. Power vehicle and phone down. Took 2x. This was after trying the had reset buttons that didn’t work. But. Now I have a flickering screen. And realized blue tooth on again. Also Possible fuse Now. Thank for listing 39. I also recently used charging plug. Someone mentioned that here also.
