BMW x1: sleek and comfortable.
I have really enjoyed riding in my car because it has been a much smoother ride than my old car, which was not a luxury brand. In addition, it is very sleek and stylish. I also like how comfortable it is to take long rides in it, especially because of the adjustability of the seas.

Perfect car for first time drivers.
One of the best things about this vehicle is its reliability. There has never been a time where I do not feel comfortable driving this car. The car itself is super easy to drive and perfect for first time drivers. One downside is not having the standard apple carplay which is something I loved experiencing in other vehicles than this one. Overall never once regretted or questioned the integrity of this car.

It has good mileage and the car is very affordable.
BMW X1 series white car is gorgeous looking, very spacious and affordable car. I use it pretty much everyday for my commute.

Safe and sporty with great features
It drives well, it's sporty and so many features that my past vehicles have not had. In rain and snow, it has great traction and i feel safe in it

Best car I have ever owned.
This is a very comfortable car and has excellent gas mileage. It has a great GPS system, radio, comfortable seats and drives very well. It is very reliable and also has lots of trunk space. It runs well in all types of weather. Also looks great and has a smooth and comfortable ride. I like the keyless entry and push button start.

It has a very comfortable ride.
I do not drive, but according to my husband, the car is fun to drive. It is powerful and smooth and has features that he likes, like Bluetooth, and a backup camera.

Pick me, choose me, love me.
This car strikes a nice balance of luxury/indulgence and practicality. Yes, it is on the pricier side and takes premium gas, but it drives really nicely and it very comfortable. We have been happy with its gas mileage. The inside is so spacious, as is the trunk. The 2018 one has a very straightforward dash - I have heard newer models might have a more complicated dash/interior.

Great vehicle! German standards at their finest!
Great car! Drives very smoothly. Only negative is that the air conditioning does not get very cool. It is very fuel efficient and a great car to have. Outside stays nice and shiny. Inside seats stay almost new. Great carplay features and Bluetooth to connect to phone.

Horrible car quality
Leased a 2018 x1, have had major issues with Bluetooth , rotors , wheel bearings and brakes. Bmw customer care was horrible. These cars are cheaply made. I would not recommend these cars.

Worst new car I ever bought.
Speedo reads 6mph high, dealer and BMW say tough! Noisy engine and exhaust, waste gate actuator bad twice, wheel bearing bad, left front brake pad bad from factory, drivers side mirror shakes, hvac blower on and off randomly, power steering leak, oil leak at oil filter housing, ac compressor died, rear compartment cover fading, wheel center caps corroding, front seat cracked, center console slides forward and cuts drinks in two, ....

Post Wreck Parts Availability
My dear wife slid on the ice and whacked a curb in our 2018 X1. There was no body damage but the right front wheel broke off. We towed the car to our local BMW dealer for necessary repairs. That was three months ago. Apparently everything from the steering column out has to be replaced, and our insurance company has paid out $8500.00. The dealership tells me BMW does not have the parts necessary to repair it. I inquired about trading it for an X3 and the dealership as much as said they don't want it on trade. When the X1 had spent about 5 weeks sitting, they were nice enough to lend us a 2020 X5. Anyway, this is crazy. If BMW can't come up with BMW parts to fix a year and a half old car what does anything else about the car matter? I'm not happy.

Very sad
I did love my x1. I had it almost 5 yrs. I put very little mileage on my cars. When I traded it in I had less than 50,000. I did not find the mileage great, BUT I do mostly city driving. Highway driving, YES it’s very good. I would’ve kept my x1 forever except I hate the tires, too expensive, don’t hold up well. Less than 50,000 miles, had to put brakes and rotors. THEN front wheel herrings........THEN I was told I needed to replace the front differential!!!! Also, they said I’d be needing to replace tires yet again. Differential wAs alone going to cost $3000!!!! Traded it in. Time to bail out, too expensive. Sucks. Couldn’t get an answer from BMW as to why such costly repairs on a vehicle with low mileage.

This is a good looking vehicle with just ok features.
It seems that I have had issues with brakes and tires even though the vehicle had less than 30,000 miles on it. I hate that I cannot add a remote start and it seems like some of the features do not consistently work, such as automatic door locks and the back up camera.

X1 Certified Pre Owned $8000 worth of issues in 5 months
Purchased CPO BMW X1 x line x drive from BMW of Nashville. It’s been in the shop for about 50 days already in 5 months! Calipers, brakes, differential, other pricy items. Sonic Automotive should have resolved this, but John doesn’t want to!

Some issues, but great overall.
The ac started having a bad smell shortly after I got it so I was disappointed to have to deal with something like that with a brand new car. Other than that it is a great car, has enough space, runs smooth and is very comfortable even with 5 people in the car.

It is very good and I would love to get a new model/version of the car.
Performance; quick acceleration and smooth transmission. Off road performance. Very fast. Features; interior room. Good 8-speed automatic. Problems; unsupportive front seats. Some cheap interior components. Questionable handling dynamics. No manual transmission.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Sabrina P.

The back up camera is extremely accurate and helpful. It has lines that guide and direct you as you are in reverse. The comfort of seats are wonderful for long drives or trips. The size of sunroof is great. It provides plenty breeze and the glass window extends throughout the back seats with children love.

Security, luxury, power. I feel secure in it. It's beautiful. When you want to go fast it responds very well. I like it a lot. You can go to the dealer for guarantee. In general, they are very nice. It's a nice car. I like the attention to details. Like the way it looks inside. Great quality in the leather materials.

Drives smooth and looks nice, very good on gas as well. Sunroof is perfect and plenty of space in the back for stroller or groceries. Also the features inside are great and the back seat air conditioner works really well too.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Sabrina P.

I wish the storage space in the back was larger. It is difficult to go grocery shopping and fit everything in there including large bulk items. You cannot fit three car seats in the back row. For a sport utility vehicle, the body is a bit low to the ground.

dislikeFilled Nanette C.

Too expensive. Maintenance is expensive too. I don't love you do not have to many options for maintenance. Otherwise, everything else is good. Is a beautiful. And powerful car. Don't know if I am going to buy another BMW, because maintenance is so high.

dislikeFilled Scott B.

It is a good car for my wife and children but it is a little small. Would be absolutely positively perfect if it were a little bit bigger. Also the seats can be very hot when in the Vegas sun. But other than that no complaints.
