I bought my car in 2016 through a private sale. The person I bought it from was the second owner of the vehicle. I haven't had any major problems with the vehicle because the prior owners had kept the car in good condition. The only major mechanical problems that I have had with the car has been the driveshaft. It has been replaced two times since I have owned the vehicle. The car has a lot of features like Bluetooth , heated seats, heated steering wheel, seat memory, moonroof, one touch automatic windows, and leather seats. Overall I really like my x3 I just wish it got a little bit better gas mileage. It gets about 21/22 mpg.
A beautiful vehicle, but beware of high costs for fixes
Since I bought the vehicle about a year ago, I have had only a few problems. I have had to replace a few coils in the engine that have dropped, have had to get new tires, have had to replace a few lights. Car performs best when given premium unleaded gas, and with performance tires. It is a vehicle that stays looking new long after it is new. There is a rip in the driver seat. I have recently been having issues with shifting from first to second, car seems to stutter a bit. Other than that, it is a beautiful vehicle I recommend for anyone wanting a compact SUV with performance.
Comfortable, spacious luxury family car.
My vehicle featured hand warmers on the steering wheel and seat warms. My two front seats can be adjusted to your size and saved in memory. Has a sunroof and a great size of space in the trunk. Feels great driving and rides smooth. Car links to phone through radio Bluetooth for taking cars by pushing a button on steering wheel. Has safety alert for seat belts that continues until you put it on. Perfect family car. Couldn’t be happier.

BMW IS RECALLING 200,000 MY 2006 3 SERIES SPORT SEAT, MY 2004-2006 5 SERIES STANDARD AND SPORT SEAT, AND MY 2004-2006 X3 PASSENGER VEHICLES. DEPENDING ON THE MANNER AND FREQUENCY OF THE FRONT PASSENGER'S ENTRY AND EXIT, SMALL CRACKS HAVE DEVELOPED IN THE MAT. IF THIS OCCURS, THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAGS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE HEAD PROTECTION SYSTEM, WILL BE DEACTIVATED AND THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER AIR BAG "ON-OFF" LAMP WILL BE ILLUMINATED.
IN THIS SITUATION THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY EVEN IF A SUFFICIENTLY SEVERE ACCIDENT WOULD OCCUR AND OCCUPANT PROTECTION PROVIDED BY THE SYSTEM WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE.
DEALERS WILL REWORK THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT SENSOR MAT SO THAT EXTERNAL FORCE APPLICATION TO THE SEAT DOES NOT CAUSE A CRACK TO THE MAT. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING LATE SEPTEMBER 2008. BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2006-2010 BMW X3 2.5i, X3 3.0i and X3 xDrive30i Sports Activity Vehicles. The front passenger seat occupant detection mat that determines if, and how, the passenger frontal air bag should deploy in a crash may fatigue and develop cracks which could lead to a system failure.
Should the system fail, in the event of a crash, the front passenger air bag would be deactivated, increasing the risk of personal injury.
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger seat occupant detection mat, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 20, 2017. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
