The one vehicle that does it all.
I love my x3. My husband and I are outdoorsy people, so we go camping often with our 2 dogs. We also kayak, and the combined space and AWD of the x3 gets us anywhere we want to go with our kayaks. Maintenance is a little expensive, but not much more than my previous car (Mazda). Gas mileage is great, and the Bluetooth and navigation features work wonderfully.

Love the styling of the BMW x3.
The driver's seat is a little narrow but I love the heated seats and the steering wheel and how both have a good range for adjusting. I also really love the interior styling of my vehicle. The paneling and the leather is very appealing and has withstood the test of a few years of time.

It is fast and moves very smooth.
Great performance, very reliable and super comfy! The only thing I do not like is the automatic shut off when you stop. Other than that love it!

I simply love this vehicle and would buy another.
The x3 gives me everything I want in a vehicle. Space, smooth running, torque when needed and is a very smooth ride, maintenance is easy, have had four years and runs like a new car. Sporty, comfortable seats and great for long drives. My dogs also love it!

My favorite vehicle of my life!
I love my BMW x3! I got it used with 70k on the dash for an amazing price that I couldn't pass up. It has not given me to much trouble in the 3 years I have had it. The biggest issue I had was with the wastegate actuator which cost me almost a grand. Other than that it is been a gem! The ride is smooth, steering is tight but not to much so that you feel like you are in race car. The handling is like no other vehicle I have had and I give it 5 stars! I will definitely be looking into getting another when this one's time is up.

BMW x3. Excellent car for the money.
The seats are extremely comfortable. The technology in the car ensures that you get any repairs needed before something major breaks. Items are expensive to fix or replace. For example, a new battery cost $400. The I have all the bells and whistles and couldn’t be happier with this vehicle.

It is reliable and a good quality car.
I like that it is good to handle. Take turns and curves with precision. It is made with quality materials. It tells you when something is wrong on the screen. It came with a few nice features and the warranty, covers ALMOST everything; the dealership takes care of everything.

It requires premium fuel, so that should be noted.
We love how comfortable our vehicle is. We take it on camping trips all the time and there is a ton of room for all of our camping gear, as well as 3-4 people. Our vehicle is also very reliable. We have not had any issues with it thus far.

BMW is great.
Beautiful, comfortable, reliable, roomy, nice ride, great interior finishes, lots of storage, love the heated seats.

Look the look but hate the cost.
Love the look of the car but starting to need lots of repairs. Compared to American made cars everything on my BMW cost 3 times the amount to fixed compared to my Chevy Malibu. Even simple maintenance items like oils changes, new tires, tune ups you name it cost me so much more. A simple oils change is over a 100.00.

Okay car but probably wouldn't buy again
Always seems to need to go to the shop for something. It gets good gas mileage. The back seat is really scrunched together making it hard to fit car seats or 3 people at one time. I do like the style of the car, it is very sporty looking. I probably would not buy another BMW

A perfect car for the average, middle-class individual and household.
Best qualities are the affordability and the price-utility comparison. The pricing is justified for it is comparability in an highly urbanized location where mile Usage is high and gas emission is highly prevalent. It is easy to drive and handle in an environment where driving is not very linear (i.e. In a highly congested city where stops and speed differences are frequent. The interior of the car is very nice, not completely ostentatious but very classy for its model. The car is quite sizable with a spacious cargo section and cabin. The performance is excellent for the city environment as the engine lineup is very strong.

I like the fuel efficiency of my car.
I like the safety of the vehicle and it is fuel efficiency. I like the backup camera. I do not like the cost to repair it however. It is extremely high to get anything replaced or fixed in it. I also think the seats are too uncomfortable for a long drive.

2014 BMW x3 review. Love this car so much!!
My car has been very good I got it in November of 2019. Only problems I have had were flat tires and the speakers broke. I think the x3 is a perfect size I got it when I was 17. Love it. The year I have does not have Bluetooth so if you are looking for that get a newer model and it also does not have a backup camera it just has sensors. Hope this helps!

Great car, lacks features.
Overall, I have really enjoyed this vehicle. I have not had any issues with my car mechanically. My only complaints are the lack of features in my vehicle. I really enjoy having the backup camera but I wish I had a GPS and the ability to play music through Bluetooth connection.

Probably wouldn't buy another BMW, id switch to Mercedes.
Car itself is great, tire issues from the beginning. Nice size family SUV, plenty of trunk space and good pickup on Hwy. Good on gas, only real drawback is the middle console paint peeled off and inside door handles kind of melted in summer heat. Otherwise good.

Black beauty chasing sunsets.
The BMW x3 is very reliable vehicle that also has some awesome power to it. The only downside is that when it is time to repair certain parts (e.G. Breaks) it is not as cost friendly. Then again considering you are driving a European made car, you pay the price for it.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled James B.

Nice look. Handles like a small sports car but has SUV storage. XDrive is awesome. Fast. Nice interior. Streamlined dash. Back seat cup holders pull down is nice. Silver black is a professional look. Easy to keep looking clean.

likeFilled Shannon B.

Heated seats, vehicle status, electric seat and windows. Back up assistance, parking help in front and back. Cruise control. Side windows tilt when backing up. Plenty of room in trunk. Sunroof, all wheel drive. Safety features.

likeFilled Yvonne S.

Easy to drive, looks great, little maintenance, love it, the size is perfect, storage good and holds golf clubs easily. The seats are easy to put up and down and it has wonderful pick up when stepped on.

likeFilled Caryn H.

Different drivetrain options, heated seats, heated steering wheel. Cargo locks for straps in the rear area. Heated back seats for rear passengers. Automatic wipers, Bluetooth capabilities. Locking gas cap door.

likeFilled David G.

Excellent styling, powerful-responsive engine, leather entire, full roof sunroof, German engineering, plenty of room for both passengers and cargo, heated steering wheel and seats, excellent navigation system and the ability to connect to cell phones.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled James B.

Fuels mpg is not great. It's ok but not great. Service and parts are expensive. Payload in the back is not very high. GPS is old look. Difficult to upgrade the stereo and GPS. Entering GPS address is cumbersome. Navigating the digital system is not very intuitive.

dislikeFilled Shannon B.

Tires need air all the time, vinyl seats not leather, no lumbar support in seat, beeps way too much when car is on. Speaking to car does not always work, I have to repeat commands more than once or twice.

dislikeFilled Yvonne S.

I really do not think there are any cons but one thing I hate is the TPM light keeps coming on and it requires $600 to fix it and I do not want it in the first place. I hate the beeping if seat belts not fastened right away. I do not like the beeper when speed goes over 80.

dislikeFilled Caryn H.

White leather, when it's unable to find the remote to start can be annoying at times. The door locking and unlocking could be better. Other than those few things, the car is very nice to drive. My favorite car.

dislikeFilled David G.

Can be expensive to maintain. Requirement for specific fluid replacements often mean going to a dealer rather than a local shop. I do not like not having a spare. I realize some people like the run flat but they can be very expensive.
