Plush interior with all the bells and whistles, powerful and fast. Very roomy and spacious, plus there is lots of room to carry things as well. The ride is smooth and handling is typical BMW standards.
Great pick up, great style, comfortable yet sporty ride, love the look of the outside & interior, love the messaging that can be seen in the front windshield while driving, love the heated seats & heated steering wheel.
The X5 is the perfect size SUV for a first time SUV owner. It is comfortable to drive, spacious enough to lug a car seat and stroller in and out quickly and it is luxurious. Highly recommend the upgraded wheel package.
There is a blind side that you have to be careful about. The gas mileage is very poor. There is so much electronics that when something goes wrong it has to be taken back to the dealership which is very expensive to fix.
I cannot think of any cons. This is our second X5 so obviously we are very happy with them. I do have problems with the windshield wipers sometimes - not clearing the window efficiently. Also, the radio does not have very good projection on the passenger side.
I have had issues with my heads up displays not always working. Sometimes I get in and it does not work. I'll go to turn it on and it works. Other times I click the checkbox and it does nothing. There's no real diagnosis per the forums I have researched.
The 2014 BMW X5 has an average owner rating of 4.75 out of 5 which ranks it #4 of 14 other Luxury Midsize SUVs.
