What’s important is that it is a safe car especially since we have little one.
Just wish it was bigger need more space since we are adding to our family of 4 we are becoming family of 5.
accountCircle Sherry H
It's length, weight and height is very interesting!
For the family, there's ample security and safety equipment, road trip ride quality, plus extra seating for little ones. I am appreciate the effort BMW took in refining this car and providing a multitude of technologies that is very enjoying. I didn't face any big problem about this vehicle. It is really a very good vehicle.

That it can beat your car in a street race. It's got a plush interior.
It's at taxi cab yellow amazing piece of driving technology that is the slickest thing on four wheels. I love it like family. Gets great gas mileage.

I give my 2016 BMW X5 10/10
I love my car. The ease of the drive, the performance, the reliability, the quietness inside the vehicle and the comfort all make for an amazing car. It took me two years to choose this vehicle as my last vehicle was also an x5, but it was a 2011 and the suspension was so tight and hard to manage that I was hesitant on getting another BMW. I wouldn't want to drive any other car, and hope that I can always afford to drive such a safe a luxurious car as this as I feel safe behind the wheel as well as confident knowing I'm in such a reliable vehicle.

One interesting detail I like is the heated steering wheel.
I am a loyal BMW driver. We have now owned 5 BMWs. One reason we love BMW is because it is the ultimate driving machine. I love the performance of my car. I feel very safe in my car. BMW does a great job with its safety features. I drive a little faster when my kids are not in the car with me and I love BMW's suspension. I like the features that my x5 have. The 360 degree camera feature. It helps me park better. When I purchase another car in the future, I am pretty sure it will be a BMW.

Spry handling. Muscular engines. Plush, supportive front seats.
The 2016 BMW x5 places in the top half of the luxury midsize SUV class, in part because of its powerful engine lineup and spry handling. However, its above-average costs (including its purchase price and certain ownership expenses) keep it from ranking among the best in the class.

Not a fan. This SUV drives well but have had multiple air conditioning issues.
This particular BMW, as well as every BMW we have owned (4 total) have all had air conditioning issues. The Bluetooth is not user friendly. They have all gone out at some point. This vehicle is comfortable to ride in and I feel like it is easy to drive as well.
accountCircle Raviya C
Blue BMW, has sunroof, fully loaded, huge wheels. Easy to maneuver.
Good vehicle, enjoyed driving it. Had a lot of perks because it was the fully loaded model. Had problems with the air conditioning. However, that was shortly fixed. Large spacious, everyone enjoys it. Comfortable, enjoyed the sunroof very well. Recommend anyone to purchase it.

Would not recommend this vehicle for the price.
Having no spare tire has been an issue. Factory installed run flats instead of storage for a spare. Air or hydro shocks have worn out already due to the cylinders. Seat bracket keeps breaking where the adjuster is located. Poor design. Plenty of room.

BMW x5 - space for 7 (3 rows).
The car is very nice and high quality. The heating and cooling works almost instantly which is nice for very hot/cold weather. The gas mileage for the SUV is very bad, which means this is not ideal if you play to be driving it a lot. Getting 2 rows of seats provides for a lot of legroom, however we opted four 3 rows of seats, so that it would be more family friendly, but that left us with very limited leg room, and we often feel very stuffed sitting in the back two rows.

BMW, always satisfying and always comfortable.
This vehicle was an adjustment from my jeep grand Cherokee as far as systems and abilities. I love the way I can switch driving modes whether I stop and go in traffic or zooming the highway smoothly. I also enjoy the sound system in this vehicle. The phone integrated system works very smoothly as well. I would highly suggest this vehicle to a family that needs lots of space for toys or kiddos!

Amenities, excellent ride, the performance is second to none, luxury appointments are spot on, technology is seamless with internal and external devices and systems, heated seats front and back as well as heated steering wheel makes for a tolerable winter.

likeFilled Maura W.

The seating in both the front and back are comfortable. The hearing and air conditioners work quickly and effectively. Being a diesel it gets good gas mileage. Overall its has stylish look with nice finishes. The controls are easy to use and access.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Elliott O.

1. Steering Assist Can Be Rough. 2. Gesture Controls Are Sensitive. 3. Optional Add-ons Get Expensive. 4. A Cramped Third Row. The third row of seating seems a bit extraneous since it leaves very little space. The BMW X7 is going to be the better option for a third-row seven-seater since it offers more space. The X5 functions better as a five-seater.

dislikeFilled Wendee B.

Maintenance costs can be a burden. Locating affordable tires for every season is expensive. Learning curve if not accustomed to BMW drive system can be overwhelming at first. BMW Accessories can get you in trouble.( Hats, jackets, mugs, etc).

dislikeFilled Maura W.

The biggest con is the price, both to purchase and the maintenance costs. Even buying it pre-owned, it expensive. It also discovered that it depreciated in value quickly when I recently considered trading it in.
