2010 Cadillac SRX Overview, Reviews, Ratings & Specs

Worst car ever driven. The visibility is awful. The electrical system has issues. The sunroof leaks due to design. Gas mileage is not good. Not the most comfortable ride, considering it is a “Cadillac”. I would heavy advise a person to select a different vehicle for certain.

Gasoline gets into oil and car shakes while stopped. Ac does take awhile to get cold, back seat more than 1 seat belt is broken, one does not click and the other is pulled out and will not retract back up! The sunroof does not work either. And one of the seats do not fold down as well.

Had all 4 ball joints replaced. The head lights collect water and the lights Dim so much it is very hard to see. I am not the only one that has this problem there so many that it should be a recall. The whole unit has to be replaced at a cost of$2000.00 or more.

Purchased the car a little over 3 years ago with 40,000 miles. Since then, I have put well over 10,000 in repairs. Some of the things replaced have been ball joints, wheel bearings, alternator, and water pump. I am sure there is more to this list but cannot think of them off the top of my head. Not only this, but have had a ongoing problem with the check engine light coming on and off since the 50,000 mile mark. In addition to the check engine light coming on, the check stabilitrak and engine power reduced comes on at the same time. Now, being in the state of VT with the new law stating you cannot get your car inspected with the check engine light on, I am force to put another 2,000 in it this year in hopes to find a remedy for this situation. I have no choice but to get it fixed because I still owe too much money on the car to trade it in. It is also extremely expensive to fix, simply because of the brand of the car. I will say that the car is extremely comfortable to ride in and the features were good for the year of the car (heated seats, adjustable petals, ect). However, that is the only two good things I can say about the car.

The stx has had problems from the beginning, 1st after the car sat overnight the next morning the battery would be dead, Cadillac dealer would bring another battery then it would start for about 3 months then again the battery would be dead, I have had it to the dealer and they still to this day find the problem why this was happening. The next problem was the sunroof leaked which the dealer did repair, the sensor on the hatch went out as I was putting groceries into my car if I had it gotten out of the way it would have crushed me to death, the dealer replaced the sensor. It has never had a smooth ride, before buying the Cadillac I owned a GMC Envoy and it ride 10 times smoother than the caddy. The running light on passenger side went out, it is something to go with a computer chip & will cost $1, 400. 00 to repair, now the timing chains need replacing at $5000. 00. It is not worth putting that much money into, I am going to drive it until the engine dies from the timing chains. It is been a piece of junk from the start!! I would never buy another caddy, gm buys from the cheapest supplier and there quality has gone down the tubes!! They need to go back to making a good product and be loyal to their customers. They want customers to buy their products but they do not want to stand behind there products like in day gone buy!! Google the Cadillac and you will read about all the problems, I would advise not buying one unless you want problems!

I purchased this vehicle used from a private owner and I've had to change both front entire strut assemblies,both front cv axles, both front out tire rods, both front lower control arms, both racker steering pins, had a tune up, repair air condition hose, trans work, new rear brake pads, and etc yet my check engine light is still on and my abs light is still on, stability trak light on and in the winter time here in Chicago it has me really fearful to drive because it slides across the highway in just slightly snowy weather. I will never purchase or recommend a Cadillac ever. Repairs for simple things are very expensive. Now I'm being told my catalyic converters both need changing. Can't wait to be rid of this costly piece of junk.

Sensor issues. I had to replace 3 sensors since I bought it in 2014. I had to replace 3 wheel bearings on it along with the battery not long after I purchased certified pre owned. The amplifier just went out in it, and I've had to replace other parts to it as well here and there. I had to replace the headlights on it which cost around $1100. These are all known issues that Cadillac knows about but won't help in replacing. After researching my car issues, I found out that there are several other people that have had the same issues out of their SRX's.
