2005 Chevrolet Avalanche!
I'm very happy with my Av. It gives me off-road ability, significant storage and hauling capacity and still manages to fit my entire fit on short to medium length trips.

Very reliable truck that's a blast to drive.
2005 Chevrolet avalanche with power leather seats (with heating), power windows, power mirrors, and power sunroof, XM radio. 5. 3l vortec engine plenty of power and very smooth on the roads. Has definitely made it in my top list of vehicles that I have owned.

2005 Chevrolet avalanche is a very dependable vehicle.
My truck is a 2005 Chevrolet avalanche. I bought it new and has about 270, 000 miles. Only problems that I have experienced with this truck is all routine problems. The rubber on the hard panels that cover the bed of the truck have began to leak but that is an easy fix.
accountCircle Summer G
It's only the best vehicle on the streets.
The things I like about my vehicle are; how roomy the inside is, how the back windshield basically pops right off. The things I dislike about my vehicle are; the ac sometimes will work so good, and then out the blue it would stop. Also, I do not like how when it rains my back window would leak.

Highly dependable vehicle
Super duper most dependable vehicle ever owned. Any issue was minor issue, replaced alternator, rear shocks... Nothing ever broke the back.

The avalanche truck is a really great vehicle especially in the snow
I love my car. It's really good in the snow and rain. My only problems is the wheel bearings. But other than that it's a great car. It has 150000 miles and still runs like a new car. I've been getting regular oil changes. I think as long as you keep your oil changed on time then ur car will be ok. The seats are great and comfortable for a road trip. It's a great vehicle.

14 Years and Still Kicking
We bought our Chevrolet Avalanche off another and it has lasted us a long 14 years. It has drove my father and I half way across the country and back without any trouble. We live in an area with absolutely terrible roads but with the height of the vehicle it has no issue and I honestly don't think a tire has ever popped or we've ever gotten stuck. Our winters can be pretty nasty and we live on a hill but this truck has gotten us up and down without a hitch. The heated seats still work and there have been no tearing or destruction of the inside of the vehicle after years of abuse from rowdy teenagers. Although by now it is rusting just a bit the truck is in good shape and we aren't worried about how reliable it is since we know it's reliable.

2005 Avalanche Z71 Review
I have many miles and so it burns oil, it is all leather fully loaded with sunroof, the tailgate no longer locks. It has a fuel pump issue so takes a while for it to crank over and the engine has a slap when you first start it, but It eventually goes away

Terrible gas guzzling truck wannabe
It gets terrible gas mileage. The removable panels and back window come in handy on occasion. I own the 2WD model, which isn't the greatest in winter conditions. The alarm system randomly goes off in the middle of the night, had to remove the horn fuse to be able to lock it overnight.

Good vehicle with slight issues
It's a good truck but the tick since 150000 miles is a pain. The power steering is going out. Does get great gas mileage for a truck though! Went a good almost 900 miles on about 2 tanks of gas. It fits all my children and myself. Backseat is huge. Back window comes out and back seat folds down so that it turns to a full size truck.

What is its actual color?
It seems that when one part breaks, and you get it fixed something else breaks right behind it. Overall, it is built like a tank. It has been thru some fender benders and wrecks but still manages to barely get a scratch on it. The gas mileage is ridiculous because it only gets 15 miles to the gallon max. It has yet to actually die, a part might break but it still keeps going.

It is paid for and has not been in any accidents.
Drinks too much gas while on the highway. Very roomy and spacious in side. Audio system is excellent..

Will carry almost anything you want to transport.
I love the adaptability of this truck. Leather seats. Load capacity. Restrictions include horrible electronics and rusting tendencies.

Bright yellow avalanche seats five people
Well I have 3 older children and a newborn my husband and myself so the vehicle is not big enough at all but other than that it has been dependable it's yellow so you can't miss us . It's a good truck all in all I would recommend it to someone that don't have many children

My dependable and easy to maneuver truck.
It rides really good on the road. With increase in gas it costs about $60. 00 to completely fill up, but lasts if you do not have far to travel to and from work. I keep my oil changed and tires checked and rotated at each oil change. I am a stickler about maintenance, so if something goes wrong on the panel board I address it immediately. I like my truck because I can use it to haul off things and pick up furniture. It is really not a lot of room in this vehicle. Two can sit up front and three in the back. That's it. I like the dual heat/ac controls and it lets you know the percentage of life on your oil before its time for a change. I have never had to use the air bags so I am not real familiar with those.

It has a good motor. Transmission have been replaced. The drive shaft has issues. Instrument panel display is out. Not great on gas. Having fuel problems with this vehicle. Suspension is great. The truck bed is poorly designed. Overall this is a good vehicle. Just a few minor issues.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Tonja B.

The Chevy Avalanche is a larger vehicle so parking can be a challenge for some. The back end is a little smaller than some trucks but you can take out back window to give yourself more length. It being a larger truck they can be considered gas guzzlers.

dislikeFilled Cornelius F.

Dash display panel goes out. And transmission had to be replaced. Fuel system is poor. The bed of truck design is poor. Driveshaft has to be replaced. The tailgate handle is of poor quality. Not good on gas.
