Absolutely best car ever!
It is extremely comfortable and safe for my daughter and I. We haven't had any real problems and the performance is exactly what we were looking for. I love the features that make life easier like Bluetooth hook up and the seats folding down for more room.

Nice size, bad oil consumption.
I love the size and look of this car. It rides smoothly and has nice interior and features. I love the moonroof, automatic start and heated seats. The negatives are that it does not have 4-wheel drive even though it is an SUV. It has also been in the shop quite often for oil consumption issues and catalytic converter issues.

The Chevy Captiva, the best mom car.
The Captiva is a great car. It is roomy and drives so smoothly. It has gotten me safely back and forth on trips. It has great room for vacations and come in many different colors. The outside always looks pretty sharp and momish but sporty. I have a gold one and I love it.

Great car for travel and leisure!
I have spent an ample amount of time in my vehicle and I have driven it across the United States. Overall my vehicle has been incredible reliable. I get the oil changed regularly and do regular maintenance on my vehicle to keep it running well. Currently there is an issue with the windshield wiper fluid. The reservoir is full, but there is no fluid coming out. It is hard to reach the reservoir to get it serviced so I am just leaving it how it is for now.

The Captiva is less expensive than the Equinox, but the ride and comfort are equal in my opinion.
I like the size which allows for easy parking. I like the seating front and rear. I like the the response to the steering. And my favorite thing about this car is the gas mileage.

Great car for holding the road in winter.
I love this car. I am 51 and is my favorite car ever..I love the interactive screen and the car Bluetooth since I travel. Holds the road well in the winter. Always starts up well. The only issue with my car is if it sits a few days it developed a grind in the brakes.

It can get you from place to place without an issue.
My car is honestly so nice, and the gas miles really help if you drive a lot. I drive home for the weekends from college which is a few hours but it truly works great, it is so small and compact but it really helps.

Towable flat behind motorhome.
The Captiva is a small SUV that allows us to tow it behind our motorhome flat without putting it on a dolly and that is important to us. It is not a luxury car but more a transport car. Sometimes it can feel a little tight. It gets great gas mileage.

Durable, long-lasting, functional.
Occasionally sounds creaky when accelerating. Had issues with oil leak after pennzoil forgot to take cap off. Had issues where car felt like it was slipping into neutral briefly on poorly maintained city streets (possibly self-correcting for bumps/ dips).

Excellent choice for mini van/truck
The Chevrolet Van/truck is the automaker's versatile full-size van that comes in cargo and passenger versions. This is a long-running fleet and commercial vehicle that can accommodate loads of cargo, up to 15 passengers, or a mix of both.

Overall very satisfied with my vehicle purchase.
Good running SUV. Good on gas and maintenance is reasonable. Only negative features is pick-up not that good. I had my vehicle for 4 years brought used total maintenance paid of pocket was $480 not including tires and oil changed and basic maintenance. Perfect for a mother with 1-2 kids plenty of dodge in hatchback. Safety features and thing that needs maintenance will display on dashboard.

I love my Chevy Captiva sport.
I have owned my vehicle since 2015. It is very comfortable and drives easy. My vehicle has never given me any problems. The gas mileage is awesome at around 30-33 mpg on highway. We have traveled with this car many times and have plenty of room. It is easy to keep clean and looks nice.

A very spacious vehicle with good gas mileage and very durable.
My Chevy sport has been reliable since the day I got it. There is a lot of room in the car for transporting large items. The seats all lay down and are very comfy, also easy to adjust. The car has had no mechanic issues for a year and has great gas mileage as well.

Love my Chevrolet Captiva! It is comfortable and the perfect size!
My Captiva is perfect for our family. It is perfect for my grandparents and son to fit in the back comfortably. It is reliable for trips from Roseville ca to Los Angeles with a crest gas mileage. All the sensory help keep me on top of all maintenance items and it just looks great.

Love the Bluetooth feature and all of the storage space in vehicle.
Great mileage, lots of space, power seats, , lots of storage including huge console and storage for glasses, Bluetooth availability, two phone Charger stations, gauges include tire psi, 2 gauges for trips, uneven back seats recliner allowing more space in back if one person is sitting in backseat, back window wipers.

My cute “mom car”: Chevy Captiva.
Bought the vehicle used and it had previously been wrecked, but I have not had any major issues with the vehicle. Recently did have an issue with an electronic thing that had gone bad (not sure exactly what it was). Car seats fit well in the backseat and it is made many long trips to carry my teammates and I to sporting events.

I love how the car looks, it is a smaller SUV the is very roomy inside.
I have owned the car for three years and all I have had to replace is the tires, batteries and brakes. It is very comfortable to drive and I love the seat warmers. I know when I get in my car it will start right up. The radio makes it fun and easy to listen to music.

Very affordable gas saver.
Very reliable car, good on gas and smooth driving. Great SUV for long road trips. The model of the SUV is so cute. The maker of the SUV is very affordable. Would have preferred all wheel drive but the SUV is awesome. Would definitely buy another SUV from the maker.

Captiva sport--buy one today!
I love my vehicle but those sitting in the backseat complain there is not enough leg room. I also wish the temperature place was not on the dashboard but rather by the rear view mirrors so others can see and use it too. The center console is also a little too far back to comfortably rest your arm for both the driver and passenger. Just a bit more forward would be great. I do love the smooth ride though and it is a sharp looking vehicle.

Good for a small SUV. Good for starting family.
The vehicle gets really good gas mileage. I have had problems at around the 60k mark with the electronics but I had warranty so I didn't pay for anything. The inside is a bit small in the back so for a family of it should fit fine. The ac runs nice after all this time, 6 years. The sunroof still works great and the seal is still good. It's a good small SUV, get one.

Nice mini SUV. It's been a good car.
No problems with the car it's been really reliable except tie rods needs replaced and a noise in the ac. The only thing that's been replaced is the serpentine belt. It is very comfortable for 4 of us. It's also nice to have flex fuel. It saves me money in gas.

My favorite detail of my car is that it has a back windshield wiper.
I really enjoy the space that my car has. There are five seats and the trunk has plenty of storage. It takes e85, which is cheap and convenient. There are lots of storage options for me to put my things, which I love. I does burn oil though, which is annoying.

I enjoy the bucket seats.
The Captiva is a very comfortable driving experience. It offers a eco drive helping saves gas. There models offer a range of options for colors and style. There is ample room space for passengers riding in the back. There are ports offered for hook up for the passengers sitting in back. Also cup holders for the passengers sitting in the back. The rear seats folded down for extra room to allow for oversized loads which is very handy.

I really like the sunroof, it is my first.
Trim panel where the seat adjuster is on the passenger side is broke. Had to replace a front wheel bearing. Sounds like my exhaust is loose at 83,000 miles. When I am making a swept turn my engine will just die. I am so disappointed that the console area is so tight that if something is dropped between the seat and the console it is really hard to get it out.

I have not had any major problems with my vehicle, it performs really well. It is very realizable and is very comfortable for it to be a small SUV. I love the leather interior and I have a sunroof. When I first got it people would call it a mini equinox. I love my Captiva.

accountCircle Mechelle B on January 7, 2021
Overall it is a great vehicle.
My Captiva is a smaller SUV with front wheel drive. The 4 cylinder motor gives me great gas mileage. I have had to replace the struts and I also have had to replace heater sensors. The car drives really well and if you do not load a lot of stuff frequently the cargo space is nice. It is a very comfortable car to ride in and the interior is styled nicely. It has been a very reliable vehicle and I would recommend it. They are reasonably priced and I expect to have it for years to come. The only minor problem that I have with it is the height of the door when the window is down at a drive thru, but that is due to my own height. The features are nice with power everything. There are also plenty of ports for charging all of your devices and the charging port in the rear will charge even if the car is not running which is useful during power outages.

Chevy Captiva: small car big value.
The Chevy Captiva is an awesome car for parents, people that like to travel, or someone that wants more space. My children fit very comfortably in the back seat and the front seat passengers still have plenty of room. The drive is good as well. Great car!! Perfect before the start of a bigger SUV.
Pros: the size of the car The Bluetooth I have not had a problem just keep up with my usual maintenance (oil, tires, brakes) The storage Being under 5'2 the car is great The mileage is great 2014 I am just under 100. 000 miles. The tank is great but I don't understand the eco or when to use it Cons: the car is not 4x4 The roomy space was not that great to bring to vt for a ski trip. The car has been lacking on connecting to my Bluetooth and not able to call without looking at my phone.

I bought the vehicle used when it was 4 years old. It has been dependable for me. I recently replaced the battery, which was the original! What could be fixed on a Chevrolet Captiva
I have had my Captiva Sport for 3 years now. I have noticed over the years, the power when taking off has gotten worse. There is no way to check the transmission fluid, you have to take it to a shop. Also there are no back seat vents, and my poor children get so hot, even though I have all of the vents in the front open wide and facing towards the back. I do enjoy the way the body is, but it could use more power and space in the back.

Enjoyable and affordable! Perfect family vehicle!
The only problems I have had with the 2014 Chevy Captiva was the exhaust manifold gasket and some bickering from the cc. Other than that it is a very convenient vehicle. Very good on gas and it is not too small. I myself like the look of ours, it is white. The space in the back is plenty for the two medium size dogs we have. We bought ours used at around 100,000 and replaced the tires, exhaust manifold gasket, and put some cataclean in the fuel system. It runs really good now at over 200,000. My wife drives it to work everyday and we take it on six hours trips often. The tires are affordable, replaceable rims are affordable, parts and service are affordable and gas is affordable.

The Chevy Captiva is a nice small family vehicle. I love the look of the car and the champagne color. The trunk space is great, especially when hauling baby stuff. Key stuck in the ignition.
The Captiva is a smooth ride. I have not had a lot of problems with it other than the key started sticking in the switch and no matter what I did, I couldn't get the key out. I ended up having to have the shifter replaced to take care of the problem. This was a known problem in other models but had no recall on it for the Captiva and they refused to stand behind it so it cost me over $400 to get the problem taken care of. Solid, value SUV: great for small families.
This is a solid car for the price. Runs smoothly. Trouble with the ignition, but after the fix, I love my Chevy!
I purchased my Chevy Captiva lightly used and it had problems with the ignition shortly after. Captiva sport, wonderful daily driver.
I really enjoy the performance of the car, the overall experience of driving it and the gas mileage that it gets for having the same amount of internal space as larger SUV's. Not sure if it was just the previous owner but the speakers are bad. Heated seats is awesome too. I have enough discs due my stroller and groceries in the back; I am piling it in there but it fits and I can still see out the back window.

Good car just needs minor improvements.
Ii really enjoy my vehicle there are not a lot of things that I would change about it other than I wish that it had third row seating and I wish that there was more leg room in the back seat as there is not much at all and it's a very tight squeeze if you are not a smaller person. I would also like to see a better engine in the car it does not have much getting up and go especially when you are trying to accelerate in a hurry.

Good gas mileage. Not many SUVs get over 20 mpg highway, let alone city.
Decent gas mileage for an SUV, not very spacious and lacks some convenience features. No problems after 115000 miles...

Vehicle operates poorly in bad weather conditions such as snow and sleet.
I like the features of the car such as the sun roof, the sirius XM radio, ON star. I do not like the gas mileage I get with the vehicle. I also don't like how hard it is to squeeze car seats in the back.

It has been a inexpensive and reliable vehicle otherwise.
It is an inexpensive SUV. The weak link of these vehicles is the ignition switch. We had to replace it. We have found out from dealer that it is a common problem with these vehicles.

Reliable little car, with few problems.
The only problems I have had with my vehicle were related to work done at the dealership. Where the seal on my windshield came off and was leaking water in. When they replaced the windshield they accidentally cut the wiper fluid line to the back wind, so that then had to be replaced. Aside from that I love my Captiva, it's a reliable little car that helps get me from place to place. It's good on gas for having a seemingly smaller tank, only takes about $30 to fill it up.

Good family vehicle and comfortable ride
I love the remote start and the leather seats the only problem I have is that the idler pulley and the weather stripping around the sunroof tend to wear prematurely also I love how good on gas it is even being a SUV. The only thing that would make it even better would be having a little more power under the hood

Enjoyable ride for those 5'2' to 6'.
Fairly comfortable ride for long distances for people between 5'2' and around 6'. A little tight for those taller, however, for short distances, those up to about 6'5' can ride front or back, and 6'9' can ride in the passenger's seat. Really enjoy my heated seats, sunroof, and the ability to hook into my garage door!

White, fast, comfortable, quiet
I love the room and the quietness of this vehicle. Very comfortable and goes fast! It is white which is my favorite color and it is a Chevy and they make the best automobile card around. I would never trade it for the world, love it so much! Go Chevy car!

My vehicle is wonderful and has a beige leather interior with a black trim.
I do not have many problems with the car and I feel its features such as reliability, safety, and comfortability are all up to standard. My car drives wonderfully and I do not see myself getting a new car anytime soon. The car is not an eyesore to me and I think it is quite pretty.

Good vehicle but the oil problem was consistent.
We had a lot of oil leak problems, that ruined the belts. Other than that, I enjoy it. I wish it was a little bigger in the back seats. Now that my kids are older, they need more room. I enjoy the heated seats, built in navigation system and phone calls through the radio.

A car great for young people, but not for families.
I love driving it. It is a great for getting groceries and going around town and doing errands. The only problem I have is there's not enough room between the back seat and the back of the front seat for a car seat fit. I have to put my seat all the way pretty well to where my knees hit the dashboard to be able to get my car seat carrier to fit. And then I also have to put my passenger seat all the way up to where my passenger has her knees on the dashboard and ordered for my son to have enough room to have his legs to sit in the back seat. That is the only problem that I have with this car, otherwise it is a great car.

It is great for a small family. It gets really good gas mileage.
I like that it is good on gas. It does not have enough room. I like the color.

A great choice whether you have a family or are out with friends.
I love my Captiva sport. It drives nice. It is very comfortable. And it is big enough for 3 kids and equipment or 3 adults going out. It always starts. And has been a very reliable vehicle for me. The only problem I have had with it is the speakers. They went out all at once 5 yrs after it was made. Also an o2 sensor malfunction. I haven't had any major problems with it yet. So far I love it!

Make sure the air and heat are checked before driving off the lot!
I like my vehicle. I do not like that I have had to get my air fixed 4 times. It gets great gas mileage.

It didn't cost a lot, is functional and it is very dependable.

Dependable vehicle, great size.
High performance, great mileage, great size, never had a problem, only complaint is not great pick up. I would definitely buy this car again and recommend it highly even though it is not a very recognizable brand as it is a fleet vehicle and never on the common market.

Chevy Captiva sport - easy to get into, easy to load, easy to drive.
The Captiva is easy to drive, loads easily and carries all I need it to. Also easy to enter with sore knees. Only difficulty is the heating/ac is odd. Hot air blows, then stops before the rear seat gets any heat; when the front cools down, heat starts again. The rear is often chilly. We get good gas mileage on the highway.

Small SUV with a tight turn radius and takes flex fuel
I like how the vehicle is a smaller SUV within the Chevrolet family. I don't like that the rear windshield wiper is difficult to change.
