Fun little car for a driver just starting out that is reliable.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

With the Chevy cobalt it is a great car for someone who is just starting out. It is very basic on the inside. Radio with a simple six cord and CD player. Four climate levels for the AC. The car is a fun little car to drive around in, and gets great gas mileage. The most I have ever had to pay for gas was around $32. The one thing that I have had issues with is the electronics of the car. Some days my blinker make noise some days they do not. Same with the seat belt sign. For my car I have had to have my springs in the back replaced and my front right wheel bearing.

- Anna C

The cobalt is great if you are looking for a car that is reliable and economical.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Problems- there are definitely some design issues. For some reason, the air conditioning drainage tube gets clogged occasionally, so I have to use compressed air to clean it. . As far as reliability, brakes seem noisy and to wear down faster than normal. And I have had to replace some of the more costly parts way too soon before they were supposed to need replacing. . This is not a luxury car, so comfort would be at like a 3. . But I do love how zippy and great on gas it is.

Reliable, economical car; not glamorous.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Performance wise, the car is fine. In terms of quality, however, the vehicle is falling apart a little. The door panels are starting to literally fall off from just the opening and closing of the door, the speakers on the car go in and out intermittently, and the seat belt light seems to be on no matter what. All in all these are pretty minor though, as the car is rather old. Otherwise it has held up very well, and I have never had any mechanical issues.

2008 Chevy Cobalt, economical and comfortable.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I really like the comfortable seat. The controls, wheel, and speedometer/tachometer are very clean, simple, and minimalist. It is relaxing and comforting. The stereo is also simple and minimalist. The engine is surprisingly punchy for the inexpensive price. I like how it looks. The wheel is firm, and I read that the power assist steering increases as you go faster. Great mileage too.

2008 Chevy Cobalt, sunroof, leather heated seats, aux CD Player, 4 door.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I've never had any issues with my 2008 Chevy Cobalt. It's extremely reliable to get me where I need to go. The heated leather seats are so nice in the winter. I have had this car through my teenage years and into my adult life. I am really impressed with how well it has held up during this time. It went from reliable car for a teenager to reliable car for newlyweds and their kids.

My car saved my life

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I was recently involved in a head on collision (not my fault) while my car is destroyed and I should not have been able to walk away from it, I did. Aside from the normal stuff, rust, wear and tear and replacing my timing chain, my car was incredible. I miss it. Small, but durable. I rarely got stuck in the snow and I live in an area where we get nailed with lake effect.

- Mallery H

It doesn't have power locks or windows.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The ac doesn't blow well because it's a smaller vehicle. However, it's very reliable considering the car is 11 years old now with 160,000 miles...*knock on wood*. I do have the basic model though so no power windows or automatic locks which is a downside. I have owned my car since the fall of 2013 and when I purchase a newer vehicle, I plan on buying another Chevy.

Small but effective and cheap vehicle

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

It's a cheap and clean little car. It has a great mpg and gas doesn't cost much for it, it's got a very quiet engine and drives smoothly. Parts are prone to breaking, the car had to be repaired to be safe to drive after a few years. It's inside is of average quality, the AC and radio all works and there isn't any issue with being uncomfortable in the seats.

- Eve O

Overall a good car. I would purchase same model only new

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I purchased my cobalt used so for being a used vehicle I knew they might possibly be some unknown issues and there have been. If I had purchased the car brand new I think I would have been very pleased with the features and performance. It has a nice sized trunk making it good for hauling stuff when I need to. I enjoy the sun roof. Roomy back seat

Two door white Chevy cobalt

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My vehicle is an older style set with crank windows and Manual locks. It is a two door, the only problem that brings is the huge doors and getting people in the back seat. The back seats are very comfy and spacious though. I really love the car. It needs a new radio as the speakers will cut out sometimes and it will be touchy.

Chevy Cobalt: A great 'bang for your buck' car.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The ignition was recalled a few years ago. Other than that, I have had no problems since I purchased it. This car is over 10 years old, I bought it brand new. I have had minimal to no problems with the car. Great Car, especially for the price. It has no bells and whistles, so really there is no room for anything to break.

Reliable Vehicle-Great Size and Features

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

This car is very reliable. I have owned my car for several years with no major issues. Mine has about 200,000 miles at the moment and is still running great. It's a great size'not too big, not too small. Some features I love include: tire pressure sensor, oil percentage notification, Sirius radio capability, large trunk.

- Stephanie G

156,000 miles and still runs well

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

To be honest it's the best car I had. I never had problems with it at all but I do maintain my car with oil changes, vehicle services, tire rotations etc. It has never let me down and especially in bad weather. There are some electrical issues now like radio speaker working on one side at time once in a great while

- Jessica J

I have a 2008 Chevy cobalt. 2 door, red in color.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I have not had any significant issues with my Chevy cobalt. I do not have powered locks or windows so I would consider that a downside. It has been a great vehicle for me but the two doors are hard to maneuver things in and out of the back seat. I also have had a very small issue with the ac but it was easily fixed.

- Heather H

My Chevy Cobalt and why I think it is one of the best cars to have!

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

It is a very reliable care and even through any issues it has had it runs smoothly and gets me to where I need to go. It has had normal car problems such as breaks and other things but nothing major that would make me concerned about the car. I would highly recommend to other drivers as this is a great first car.

- Angelica T

great mpg. Quick acceleration for passing vehicles on the highway.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

good solid car. Needs fluids changed, aside from that it is quick on acceleration. Great mpg. Although there is no transmission dipstick. the battery is in the trunk. Can jump other cars from the front or the back. Good trunk space. Could have better room for passengers in the back. Dependent on the ecm.

- Joseph S

Reliable, great on gas, and cheap to fix.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Awesome car haven't had any problems it's always been reliable. I will buy a new one. Its fast, great on gas, drive awesome on the highway for long distances. It's never let me down. I have drove to from Maine to Georgia and back to Maine. It was an amazing trip. Always going to buy a Chevy.

Cobalt Reviews and reasons to own one

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The cobalt is a good running car and is very easy on gas. It is smaller and easy to maneuver and park I have had good luck with it and very little problems. The only thing I would change about it if I could would be more comfortable seats. I think you would be pleased being the owner of one.

- Melinda M

The Pros of owning a Chevrolet Cobalt.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My Chevrolet Cobalt gets great gas mileage. It's not to big but not too small and has a lot of comfortable room inside as it seats 5 people comfortably. With drink holders for all of the passengers. The seats are comfortable with movable headrests. All power with automatic headlights.

- Hope W

All around it's a great car.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Very reliably, nice comfortable seats, drives very well, strong motor and transmission, has a CD player with FM radio works well, the heat will run you out of the car, no power windows, has airbags all over, lots of room for the family, lots of trunk space, all around great car.

- Brittany G

Reliability and safety in one

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

It's a reliable car. Drives smooth for the most part, only minor fixes to it, but overall a comfortable car. Coupe version is very small I would get a sedan version. Safe and reliable first car for myself. I would recommend this car to others looking for a reliable daily car.

- Abbey S

Not good for winter states

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The car is affordable but it is sometimes cramped being an older car doesn't hold up on roads that are not smooth. Has broken down a lot after 100k miles but needs little maintenance besides some ding repairs, tires, oil changes etc. Not good for states that have bad winters.

- Dee S

Great Vehicle For Just About Anything

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Works great. Only problems I've had with it was when I got into accidents. After eleven years it still drives wonderfully. Great gas mileage. Perfect for road trips. So long as the vehicle is taken care of in the proper manner it will last a good twenty to twenty-five years.

- Zack T

Low to the ground, but a comfortable ride.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The car sits very low. I am just over 6 feet tall, and it is hard to get in/out of. Also, the oil pan was torn open on a bump that no one else on the road seemed to have a problem with. It gets decent gas mileage, and is fairly comfortable, but just not built right for me.

- Joshua B

Chevy cobalt: the long lasting.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The vehicle is great. Runs great. No real problems. Decent on gas but cheap to fill up. As it gets older I'm noticing some things stop working like my front speakers and my tire sensors. But other than that it's still in good shape! I would keep this car forever if I can.

- Tia T

Purple passion, that's what I call her

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Would love it if it had AC. Drives nice, good in the winter. Good on gas. Also it's emissions exempt. Love the color, ample trunk space, I don't like the headrests they don't move back or forward. Also, no leg room for large passengers or extra groceries or equipment

- Lisa S

Bright red 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The car is getting old, it runs well but over the years it's had its issues. I've had to buy new wheels and a battery as well as sensors for the car tires. Other than that the car still runs well, I trust it to go long distances even though it has over 100,000 miles

- Laura W

If you want something small and good on gas it is a good car

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My car is very dependable, good on gas, easy repair, and very comfortable. I have never had to do any repairs other than regular maintenance. The only downside is the car is a little small. Also the seat belt doesn't retract very well. It's a good car all in all

- Laura S

2008 Chevy cobalt: the bad year for Cobalts

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The 2008 Chevy Cobalt is notorious for having unreliable heater cores. I've had to replace mine a handful of times in the last two years. It is not a cheap fix, so if you own a cobalt, I would highly recommend having warranty on any parts you have to get fixed.

- Leah B

Almost everything works has a few problems though

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My blinker doesn't work. It doesn't turn off by itself. The front speakers don't work and cut in and out. Everything else works great. The problems are fixable. The car itself works great and has great gas mileage. It has great bikes and works on long trips.

- Isabella A

Great reliable automobile.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My car is reliable with a minimum of maintenance.I just feel it with gas and change the oil and filters and continue on. It needs cleaned weekly, just like other calls. I did have the battery go out and have changed the tires, but that is pretty normal.

- Lorena H

Awful car to buy for sure.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

It is to expensive. I wish I would not have bought into this car. It was/is not worth the amount I pay monthly. It seems to have problems all the time with it. And the finance place was suppose to fix it with a warranty but they clearly do not do that.
