I like the car for gas mileage but not for how small it is and recalls on it.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I have ran into a lot of issues with this car, but once I have fixed them then I love the car. Since it is 10 years old I would assume there would be some issues. However, there are several things that have been recalled and fixed like the key fob. It does have a little louder of a sound than some cars, like you can hear it running. There is a clicking noise in it that we are having to figure out what it is and replace the fuel pump because we had been smelling gas inside the car for a few months. Other than the issues like that I like that it gets good gas mileage and is a smooth ride. I hate how small it is but I guess that is my fault for buying a 2 door car. There's very limited room in the backseat, but if you do not need the back seat it is not a huge deal.

Used 2009 white Chevy cobalt.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I think it's a very cute car that has worked very well for being used/ten years old. It has performed well in snow and rain. It came with a remote starter which would be nice, but that does not work anymore. Also the driver's side lock does not work with the fab anymore. The manual lock inside the car does not work, so to get in my car I must use the fab to unlock the 3 passenger doors and the key to unlock the driver door. Same with locking it. This is the only way it works. My tire pressure sensor is also broken and has not been able to be fixed. But these are all small issues probably due to age. The only thing that I do not like is that there is no cruise control.

Chevy COBALT - The good, the bad and the ugly.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The 2009 Chevy Cobalt is an efficient, economical, and comfortable car. It has plenty of back seat space for passengers, and a huge trunk. The model I have does not have any 'bells or whistles', but that seems to work just fine for me. The only thing I dislike about this car is that the battery is installed in the trunk, under the spare tire. When having to replace the battery, places like Autozone will not replace the battery for you for that reason, and if you're not mechanically inclined (like me) you are forced to pay someone to perform a simple job .

The best Chevy Cobalt in history

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

So far no problems on my vehicle except the transmission is out. I have to take it to a mechanic which will cost a lot of money to fix and I just don't have the money. It is very comfortable, all the seats are practically like new despite it being 10 years old. I love my little car. It is a small four door sedan. No real special features, no automatic locks, but automatic windows which is nice. There is also no cruise control. Maybe on the other types, but not the LS. It is a very reliable car.

Dependable vehicle to own.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Light ?? bulb keeps burning out. Lock mechanism not working. Speakers in front do not work. Cup holders to short. Vehicle is currently at 210,000 miles. Generally is been very dependable. We keep up to date with oil changes. The front hood is showing rusty areas, also along doors by tire areas, making it showing its age. Still has good pickup. I have owned vehicle over 100,000 so knowing it is background, we've completed maintenance work as time has passed on it.

Good car for small woman.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

This 2009 Chevy cobalt has surprising acceleration. I like being able to easily park this smaller car and still have room to open the door wide enough to get out. The trunk space is usually adequate for the kinds of items I need to carry. The only thing I have an issue with is the depth of the 'lip' that I must lift my leg over to get out of the car; I have major back problems and that motion is hard for me to do without pain.

- Nikki S

My Chevy Cobalt is a good and reliable vehicle for a college student to own.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My car is a 2 door Chevy cobalt. The 2 door feature instead of 4 doors does make it difficult to have passengers with me. However, it is a good and for the most part reliable vehicle for someone my age and going to school. It is a 2009 so obviously it is going to have some problems to it because of how old it is. It does drive similar to a sports car in how fast it goes. Its performance and reliability are exceptional.

- Natalie D

My vehicle is very reliable. It gets me to where I need to go.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The only problems I have came across with this specific vehicle is simple. The battery is in the trunk instead of it being under the hood. The starter went out and was very difficult to change. The power lock windows have started to stop working which is a pain. If you disconnect the battery with your key in the ignition, the key gets stuck which is frustrating. Some of the sensors on the tires tend to not work right.

Review of Chevrolet cobalt LS sedan

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Performs very well but thought the salesman pushed the vehicle on me when I wanted a SUV. So I had buyers remorse. Is my first car. Very basic car though very reliable. Never broke down on me with serious mechanical issues. Just basic things like dead battery once and flat tire once in driveway at home so happy never was stranded on the road as a result. Though I'm ready to trade up.

Cobalt can cruise, without guzzling gas

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

If you are looking for a car that you can trust to last the long haul, the Cobalt LS is perfect for your needs. The car allows for both comfort, with an open interior and plenty of space for 5 people, and efficiency, boasting a gas mileage of over 30 miles per gallon. As long as you do not mind the two wheel drive in the winter, there isn't a better sedan for the price.

Reliable and great for gas mileage

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

It is a very reliable car. I bought it at 95,000 miles and have put 12,000 miles on it in a year and it hasn't given me any issues. The bottom is rusting a bit but it was originally in Pennsylvania and is now in Illinois, both states that obviously deal with snowy winters. It gets great gas mileage and has done me well for the first year I've had it.

- Jonathan G

It's a awesome car. If your in the market for a car buy one

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My car is a 4 door it's great on gas, I've had it for a year the only thing I had to do on it is routine maintenance. It's a very good car. The performances of the car is great it's a very reliable car. It has satellite radio. So far so good this car has been great to me the only thing I don't like is the color it's red but the car is very reliable

- Kristina B

Small and best feature is folding back seats

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

This car is way too small. It is supposed to get 35 to 37 miles per gallon and we are lucky if it get 25 miles per gallon. It has fold down back seats which makes it easier to carry large things I think this is the best feature of the car. This car is enough of a car for someone just getting their first car like a teenager.

- Sandra K

Good daily driver for a long commute. No frills, just reliable.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I had to have a leaking gas tank repaired under a recall. Other than that, no major issues despite have 160,000 miles. It gets pretty decent gas mileage and has just enough pick up despite having a small engine. The one thing I do not like is that there is no trunk release from inside the vehicle and must be opened with a key.

- John R

good stories and smooth riding for the most part

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I have a wheel bearing out in my car. I like my car because it has a really nice stereo in it and it's nice riding it has a 4 cylinder so it doesn't use much gas and doesn't take much to be able to go long distances. Only thing I don't like the Chevy Cobalts are there so low to the ground there really easy to bottom out

- Brandon F

Chevy Cobalt is dependable transportation.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My Chevy Cobalt has been very dependable. It is easy to drive and gets good gas mileage. It holds a lot for a small 2 door and is very stylish. I have had very few issues with this vehicle and the repairs have not been overly expensive. I would recommend this car to anyone who needs a dependable vehicle.

- Teresa S

Chevy Cobalt aka the best college car

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The engine light is permanently on... just a tiny sensor that is too expensive to get to. Two wheel drive car, so not good in the snow and low clearance. HOWEVER, a fantastic little car. Great gas mileage and speakers. Has an Auxiliary cord plug in and good sound. The trunk has good spacing too.

- Molly R

Reliable vehicle and comfortable.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Recently I've had to replace the radiator and water pump, because there was a coolant leak. The car has about 82,000 miles. The car ride is smooth and the car is reliable for the most part. The AC works very well. I find myself replacing the turn signal and license plate light bulbs more often.

- Cara A

My Chevy Cobalt gets great gas mileage and is a smooth ride.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My Chevy Cobalt is the best car I've ever owned. I bought it used with 65,000 miles on it in 2016 and now have 128,000 miles on it and it still going strong. It rides smooth and gets excellent gas mileage. It goes well in the snow and conditions. I'm going to keep this car till it quits on me.

- Greg H

Cobalts are very dependable

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

My Cobalt is a very good reliable family car. It's very good and cheap in gas. We drove to Myrtle Beach and back which is 8 plus hours away FROM where I live and filled up maybe 3 times. I haven't had any problems out of my little car. Only weird thing is the battery is in the truck.

- Zachary T

Nice, basic car to get you going.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

There's really not that much to say about the car. It does not offer many luxuries, but that is not saying that it's not a nice car. It's a very basic style of car that is meant to get you from point a to point b, but is still somewhat nice and a good beginner car for new drivers.

- Michael S

Chevy Cobalt is a great car!

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

The car is very comfortable and has lots of nice features like OnStar, XM radio, system that tells me when my tires need air among other things. It's just the right size to be comfortable and easy to park. If I could change anything it would be to make the trunk opening bigger.

- Betty M

This has been a great vehicle.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Bought this car august of 2010, has been great, have not had any problems with this vehicle. Have replaced battery, tires, windshield wiper blades, one headlight. Other than that nothing. Has never used oil. Wonderful car, am so happy I picked this car, has never let me down.

- Shelly W

Chevy cobalt '09. Drive forever.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Fantastic gas mileage. I am able to drive an hour away and back and still have more than half a tank of gas. The car is a very smooth drive as well! Many other makes and models of the same car that are more new (2010 plus) have many recalls on the car, but none for this one!

- Miranda H

All in all, my Chevy cobalt has been an exceptionally reliable car.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I got this car when I was 17. This has been my first and only car so far. It has been a great car and very reliable. I have had very few problems and very minor problems with this car. But overall it has been a wonderful car. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone.

- Savannah S

The Chevy Cobalt: the positives and negatives

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Great gas mileage. The Cobalt is a small car with minimal space therefore not comfortable for someone over 6ft. tall. I enjoy the media features including the CD player and Satellite radio options. This car has slightly more power, and get up than one would imagine also.

- Jamie B

In general it's a pretty good car.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I love my car for the most part. Had a problem with a gas line leak in a couple spots last year. It's a nice car to drive and a nice size car. My car has manual windows. It also has pretty decent leg room in the front seat. Not much leg room in the back seat though.

- Stephanie D

Great Cobalt car with a lot of highway miles.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Great car-never had any problems. I just change the oil on time and take care of regular maintenance and upkeep. It gets very good mileage-31 to 34 miles per gallon. Very good stereo with XM satellite my favorite. Comfortable ride-particularly on highway travels.

- richard W

Battery is in the trunk of the car

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Nice little car. Drives well. Issues we have had are rocker panel rot relay switch and wheel bearings. Trouble with the electricals speakers not functioning all the time and two o2 sensors misfiring constantly. Space is fine for a smaller car trunk is spacious.

- Jamie T

Cool little car great on gas.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Replaced fuel line twice, had a recall once for ignition, love the style, great gas mileage, sporty look, lasted long time, minor maintenance love my car. Reliability is good, not so good in the snow though, performance is good. I have had my car 10 years now.

- Debra L

Chevy's make good cars and trucks so I would tell everyone.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I like the way it drives and it has a good radio in it. But the computer can go out in the easily and my tire sensor stays on all the time. The battery is in the back of the car instead of the front. Chevys are good cars and I would tell everyone to get one.

- Michelle W

Great for new drivers or drivers commuting for long distances.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

I bought my car used from my grandpa who had then bought it used from a dealership. I have had it for over 3 years now and the only major problem I had was the serpentine belt snapped while driving. Great gas mileage, great stereo system, clean and basic.

- Amanda M

2009 Ruby Red Chevy Cobalt

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

Reliability is good. In winter more difficult to start. I have problems with the speakers not working. I wish the gas mileage was better. Good starter car, will be nice when I can get a new one. Features are fine. Wish it has a sunroof and heated seats.

- Britney H

A good economical car with decent gas mileage for everyday driving.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS

So far I haven't had any problems with it. It runs well has good power. Looks really nice. Is clean. Easy to maintain. The comfort is very nice it rides very well and smooth. Maybe could use a little work on the strut noise on the tires in the front.
