Hannah's Chevy Cruze review

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my Chevy Cruze! It gets great gas mileage, has a comfy interior and great stereo. However, the trunk is kind of small and the back seats do not have a ton of legroom. Other than that we love it! Now that it is getting older we are having some issues with it, like a bearing is going out and we have had many big expensive fixes recently but it is getting a little older. We have black cloth interior and we like it a lot, it can be hard to clean though. There is a little space between the back seats and window that is great to store things that we keep in the car all the time. I do like how low to the ground the car is because I have an easy time cleaning the windows. I also like how you can access the trunk from the backseat and that is nice if you cannot get the trunk open or you have something long to put in your trunk. It has been a great car for running around town, commuting to work and school and even for long trips. Our Cruze is a red color and it is a great color. It can speed up really fast and I like that because it kind of feels like I am driving a sports car or race car. There is definitely room for car seats, which is great for an expanding family. Overall I love this car, and so does my husband, and we always feel safe in the vehicle.

Pros and Cons of the 2012 Chevy Cruze

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I really love this car! It is smooth riding and quiet. It is great on gas; I have saved a ton of money on gas since trading in my minivan. I did have the transmission go out one day on my drive to work. I was bent out of shape because the was just a few years old, but it was under the powertrain warranty, so it did not cost me a dime. My car has 'get up and go', but if you are the type of driver that likes to floor it once the light turns green then this is not the car for you. This car is really comfortable to drive. I was driving more than sixty miles to and from work daily and never had a complaint. Also, I drove across the state and did not have any back pain or leg cramps. I know I already mentioned this, but this car is really great on gas! If my boyfriend has to make long drives we swap vehicles so he does not have to stop three times to fill up the gas tank. This car is somewhat on the small side, but there is plenty of legroom. I am not very tall, but there have been people much taller than me in my car while carpooling and everyone was surprised how much room there is in the car. I have and will continue to recommend this car to anyone that asks.

I love this car and I'll be sad when I have to get something else.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My Chevy Cruze is a great little sedan that was very affordable for the person who needs a reliable car to get them from A to B. I haven't had any major issues and for a few years I was putting over 25,000 miles/year on it. For a stock model, the dual-tone interior is beautiful and the whole thing doesn't feel like a stock model. I love Chevy because of this; the price for a good car is actually the price, not the price before you have to add-on everything you actually want out of the car. There are only two things I don't like about the car. First is the lock/unlock button is in the center; I prefer it on the door so you don't have to lean into the car when you're just trying to open the back. Second is a while back something went wrong with the trunk open touch button they have on the back, it no longer works; I have to open the trunk with my key fob (there is no trunk open button inside the car either). I wish car makers would just stick to mechanical latches; not everything needs to be high-tech!

Great Gas Mileage for long commutes!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my Cruze it is small and handles like a go cart. I have two little boys 9 and 2 and there is quite a bit of room for how small the car is. We are pretty active as far as camping, baseball, volleyball and other recreational activities and haven't had any issues with packing. In the winter it handles pretty well in the snow (we live in Michigan). We had some issues with valves and gaskets, had to have a new engine put in. Also had to have a front headlight changed which they have to remove the front bumper to access the lights to change. It gets great gas mileage. The child safety lock is a button on the drivers door (it keeps door and windows locked when you push it from the inside). There are several jacks and USB ports so you can charge several devices at once and use the USB port with compatible software to listen to music from your phone. The jacks only work if your car is running which is good so you don't run the battery down. There are several spacious compartments for storage throughout.

2012 Chevy Cruze ls is a comfortable vehicle for a more petite crowd.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Overall, I do like this car. I am a tall individual (almost 6'0) and it is a little small for someone who is tall with a big frame. In addition, it is a bit small in the back for my passengers in terms of leg-room. Otherwise, it is quite comfortable. I do like the radio, Bluetooth capabilities, XM radio capabilities, and CD player. The brakes are a bit... Hair-trigger? When I first got them changed, I barely had to tap them to stop abruptly which is good, but stopping is not really smooth. I can feel every single bump in the road which is good for gauging the terrain and the car's reaction to the different terrain, however it is a bit of a bumpy ride. If all maintenance is done properly, the car's idle and ride is very quiet. The headlights are hard to reach to change the bulb. The trunk is quite spacious. Overall, it is a good vehicle, but I would probably go for an SUV for hauling bigger people/ more people more comfortably next time I am looking to purchase a vehicle.

Engine/valve issues in 2012 Cruze

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Bought this car used with 112k miles but inspected by a mechanic. A year after I bought it the oil pan had an issue that lost all the oil, which caused a blown head gasket. Had to replace the engine. The new engine had a valve cover leak, replaced the valve cover with a brand new valve cover from the Chevrolet dealership warehouse, 4 months later the valve cover went bad and had to buy another valve cover. The issue from the valve cover caused so much heat under the hood I had to replace broken plastic parts to the thermostat housing and hoses. With the second new valve cover I now have issues with the valve seal leaking into my spark plug wells. The buying price on the car was $16,000. Repairs and parts due to engine problems has cost about $3000 in less than 2 years. I love the body of the car, and the functionality, I'm extremely disappointed in the engine/valve issues I continue to have. There are no recalls for these constant issues.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS Review

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I have a love hate relationship with my Cruze. I've had it for 6 years. This vehicle is comfortable for a small family. It is comfy to travel in and great on gas. Automatic windows and child lock, four cup holders (2 in front, 2 in back), all four doors have a compartment on them, nice medium glove box, very small arm rest, aux input, radio FM &AM or SiriusXM's or CDs and huge trunk. I have had a couple problems with mine. One is I got in a minor accident on passenger's side and have replaced new sensors on both wheels about 2 times. It sends a error stating tire pressure is low on both passengers wheels every couple miles. Another problem is some days it jerks like it kicks back. Other than those two complications, I have to love my cruze. It has been good to me. Very Reliable and rides smooth.

2012 Chevy Cruze: great small car for anyone

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I absolutely love my 2012 Chevy Cruze. It's the smoothest car I've ever driven, and it's very reliable. It's good on gas, and it's not too expensive to fill up. It's comfortable & convenient because you can adjust the driver's seat and steering wheel very easily. That's helpful because I'm 5'2'. My car has Bluetooth, and it's very easy to connect my own music to the car. The speakers can get very loud without sounding terrible. The back seat is a tad bit small if people in the front need more room. Very spacious trunk. The look of the car is very attractive & sharp. It could fit anyone. The size is also convenient because it makes parking easy. I love how it drives because it's so easy and smooth. My car has the turbo boost which is nice for merging on highways.

Great Car, Great Gas, Great Performance

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My vehicle is amazing! I have had no major issues with it and I've had it for 7 years now. It's great on gas too which helps save me a lot of gas money. It's a small car, so it can seat 4 people comfortably if they are not all super tall. Whenever there is a vehicle problem, I get notifications in my car as well as on the Chevy and OnStar App which is great. My car is the basic model so it doesn't have many features, but I still love it. For example there is no cruise control, no back up camera, no touch screen radio/dashboard but I still love this car and would highly recommend it to anyone.

- Dana W

The features are nothing to rave about but it is dependable.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

With over 150,000 miles I have yet to experience any major problems with the car so I am very comfortable with the reliability of the car. The performance is pretty good, we get good gas mileage. However, it does not accelerate very quickly. The backseat is not very roomy but the front seat has plenty of room for me and my husband is over 6 feet tall and is comfortable with the seat all the way back. The features are basic and this is probably my least favorite feature of the car. I wish I had heated seats, leather, and cruise control but these options are lacking.

- Jennifer T

2012 Chevy Cruze - Comfort, Style, Ease

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My Chevy Cruze is a great, reliable car. I haven't had any issues with it so far which is a huge change from my previous vehicle. I love the look of the Cruze from the outside to the inside. The interior has a sleek two tone look and the seats are very comfortable. I personally love the smaller size of the Cruze because it is easy to fit into small parking spaces or driveways. The size has never been an issue for me, and even though it is small the truck has a very good amount of space to pack stuff inside. This is a awesome car and it is also great on gas.

- Kathryn P

The car has just been cleaned out by my boyfriend. He vacuumed.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My vehicle only has two doors, which I do not like because it is harder to get my baby in and out of the car. Our car is silver, but it has been in an accident and has a dent on the right side. The car has a radio, but does not have an aux cord, so that you can choose your own music. It also does have a working CD player. The seats are pretty comfortable, but have wear and tear from being a family. It gets pretty good gas mileage, so we use it for long family trips. The car was previously owned before we bought it, and we plan to keep it for a while.

- Ashley V

It's mid-sized, and does drive smoothly, when nothing's broken.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I have had nothing but problems since a few days after I drove it off the lot. The check engine light is always on, and money was poured into it left and right, and still is. It turns out that there is a problem with Chevy Cruzes thermostats, and they are not cheap to fix. The car has not passed smog in the last two years. I am not a mechanic, so I don't know what the problems have all been, but there have been plenty. It is in the process of being fixed; all I can advise is if you are looking into buying a 2012 Chevy Cruze, do your homework.

- Teresa G

Good gas mileage. Great speed on the highway.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I drive a 2012 Chevy Cruze. It has Bluetooth and turbo power. The car is manual. Fast speed, sunroof and satellite radio. The only problem I have had is with the engine light coming on and off. The turbo boost went out in a year time. The car is reliably. The gas mileage is great. No special features with the Chevy Cruze. The seat are not leather but are very comfortable. The air conditioner is not that great either. I have driven this car on a road trip and I get good gas mileage. I would recommend this small car to any college student.

- Kenya V

Not so crazed for the Cruze

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I wasn't very excited about this car before I purchased it, however I have had several problems with it over the past few years. The glove box will pop open randomly, despite being looked at and 'fixed' by the dealership. The trunk also does not always lock or latch, which is something that the dealership claimed is a one off. For the most part it gets pretty good gas mileage, but it does not get what was advertised. The HDMI plug also doesn't not always connect, and makes playing music through the port problematic.

- Hayley C

Cruze has great mpg, but rather slow to respond

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my Cruze for it's gas efficiency which is amazing, ease of driving, sporty look. I'm not thrilled with it because it feels so crowded inside if there is more than one person or when I want to put our dog's crate in the back seat; it hesitates when shifting gears - especially if you need to slow down quickly and then speed up again quickly; it tends to 'bog down' when driving on hills and you have the air conditioner running; need the air conditioner turned on if it's over 60 degrees outside.

- Anita G

The gas mileage and sporty appearance are my favorite parts of this car..

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The only problems are the fact that it did not come with cruise control or a trunk opening button in the car. The acceleration and braking are excellent for a 4 cylinder engine. The gas mileage is excellent. I feel very comfortable driving this car. It is reliable. I have not had many mechanical issues with the car. It was leaking coolant and I had to replace parts that were inferior and made with plastic with metal parts. No issues with drive train and the interior has quality upholstery.

- Todd N

No good for children and no trunk button

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I loved this car when I wasn't a mother. Now this car has way too small of a back seat for car seats. It's very hard to have a child in the back and someone sitting in the passenger seat comfortably. I have to put the passenger seat almost all the way forward to even have my rear facing car seat in the back. It is just too small for a family. Another thing I don't like about this car is it doesn't have a trunk button inside the car! I have to turn the car off and use the keypad to pop the trunk.

- Ashley J

2012 Chevrolet Cruze Review

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Overall, my vehicle is reliable. It gets me back and forth to work and where I need to go. The interior is in decent shape and is comfortable to drive. The A/C works properly, although the vents are broken and only point one direction unless something long is stuck in them to switch their position. I have not had any major issues thus far, other than needing to replace a wire that runs to my battery. This is the first vehicle that I've purchased, so I'm happy with my decision overall.

- Brittany K

Simple and comfortable, if a little lacking.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Chevy Cruze is a simple, comfortable little car. It can comfortably seat 4, has a decent sized trunk for hauling stuff around, and gets good gas mileage (I average about 30 mpg). It is somewhat lacking on features however. My model lacks cruise control, which is a pain. The auxiliary plug in is in an awkward spot in the center glove box, and that box itself is rather tiny. There also aren't any heated seats, and the mechanism for leaning the seats back broke within a few months.

- Mason E

My vehicle is blue green and has been like my best friend the past few years.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My car has been very reliable for me. I bought it new and took it on a vacation trip a week later. It is so easy to drive and care for. The interior is cloth and has been easy to care for. Even when I was unable to drive it due to my health for a few months the car continued to start right away, I like the CD player that is in the car and I use it when I am in the car. At this time I have only had to do the basic routine servicing on it. I consider it money very well spent.

Chevrolet Cruze 2012 over 80,000 miles

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Car was fine for 6 and a half years. The last time someone hit my car, it has not been right ever since. Could be our insurance company sent us to people that didn't know why they were doing. We have had in shop twice then and had to get new turbo charger but did not help the car. Many mechanics have said that once these cars reach 80,000 and above, they really start acting up. Mine is at 85,000 and I agree with the mechanics. No matter what we do, it won't get fixed.

- Audrey S

Sporty looking vehicle with great safety features.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The Cruze is a gas saver. The drives smoothly and it has plenty of space for it to be a family vehicle. The only issue I have had with it is the transmission is a 6t40 and it went out at 83k miles. Lucky with the type of vehicle it is, it is a relatively cheap repair. I have taken this vehicle on a week trip through 13 states. It was a comfortable ride and I fully trust this vehicle. It is very affordable to buy this vehicle and it has saved me on gas.

- Deborah P

It is a pretty cool little car.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It is a pretty sweet little car. It has a kind of small trunk but it is a hatchback. It gets good gas mileage I have gone to Santa Cruz and back on probably $30. The air conditioner is awesome and everyone loves the seat warmers. I wish it had a CD player but I am old school like that. But my friends plug in their flash drives and we can play the mp3s. It took a little while to get used to the push button starting but it is kind of cool now.

- Brittany R

Great, reliable car with good gas mileage.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS drives very smooth. I love how large the trunk is and how much storage space is offered. The back seats are a bit smaller than what I was used to but they're good enough for two young children in car seats and our 60 pound dog. The sound system/radio set up is great. So far this car has been very reliable for us and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great car with good gas mileage.

- Rebecca G

My Chevy Cruze; often overlooked, but highly worthy.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Really smooth to drive. Comfortable interior, and dashboard layout. I really like the mechanisms and 'easy-handling' of the rearview mirrors. I happen to be less than average height; when driving, my seat has to be pulled up, really close to the steering wheel. Other vehicles make this difficult as the seats can't be adjusted to my comfort. But my current vehicle, the Chevy Cruze, makes this possible for me.

- Henry K

White Chevy Cruze LS 2012

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

So far I have not had almost any problems with my car, any that I have had were mostly tire problems, such as air pockets on the tires. The interior of my car is very comfortable and the exterior I find to be very aesthetically pleasing. All of my cars features such as Bluetooth and hands free calling serve me very well and I will search for these features next time I look for a vehicle.

- Meredith B

2012 Red Chevy Cruze 'Phoenix'

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I've had my car for a little over a year now and the only problem I've encountered is my O2 sensor needs to be replaced. I purchased the vehicle in a used condition so this repair is no surprise. It's a good car and I feel safe driving my infant around in the backseat of it. However, there are substantial blind spots so it's imperative to check very carefully before changing lanes

- Kayla M

Chevy Cruze with great gas mileage

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Sometimes it takes a while for the gear to shift when going up or down a hill, but it's not a major issue. I get around 23 miles per gallon, driving mostly highway and local roads. It drives well in the snow. The seats are comfortable and easy to adjust. When the tires get low on air pressure, it does give a warning for which tire, and you can see what the pressure is at easily.

- Amber R

Good commuter car with some pep.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

This Cruze is perfect for someone with a long commute, such as myself. I travel 38 miles one way, so gas mileage is super important. I have a manual transmission, so it adds to the fun when I can drop a gear and zoom past someone. The only downside is power from a dead stop, since this is only a 4-cylinder car. If the air conditioning is on, taking off is a bit sluggish.

- Ashley P

An economic, gas-saving friendly Chevy car.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The fan in the front is very loud, sounds like the car is overheating. It is a great car to save gas and money. The performance is good for a daily work or school commute. It is only fit and comfortable for 4 people. It does not have a touch screen radio, and you need to plug in a phone cable in order to play music. The stereo can be loud if you put the volume up.

- Jennifer S

Until this past year my 2012 Chevy Cruze was my favorite of my last 3 cars.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I taught my 2012 Chevy Cruze used. I have had it for almost 5 years. This year I started having problems with the computer system and the transmission. I love(d) my car but a few months ago it started shaking when I would stop at red lights. I am not entirely sure what the problem is yet. Until this past year this car has been my favorite of my last three cars.

- Shelby W

Overall car has been good so far.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Car has ran well while I have owned it. Receives really good gas mileage. Would be small for someone with kids but great for commuting to and from work. Wish that it had cruise control and a button in the car to open the trunk, as only the key fob can be used and only when the car is turned off. Otherwise, have been pleased with the car overall so far.

- Amber C

Great gas mileage and very economical

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

This vehicle is very economical and great on gas. It is a 2012 so it does not have a touch screen display nor does it have Bluetooth but it still offers aux option and Siri's XM as well as a CD player. It comes equipped with OnStar for those who like that feature. The vehicle runs smooth. Great for long trips. On a full tank I get spout 400 miles.

- Jarvey A

Problems with the Chevy Cruze 2012

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The thief system acts up a lot. Other than that everything else works really good. The car is not good on gas because when I put a full tank in it is gone by the end up the week when my traveling distance does not exceed over 100 miles. This would not be my first choice if I were getting another car and would invest my money into a better car.

- frank T

The Chevy Cruze gets excellent gas mileage

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My Chevy Cruze gets excellent gas mileage. I bought the car because I was traveling long-distance is and I was looking for a car that was great on gas. It's extremely safe with extra airbags and has a lot of room for passengers and a lot of room in the trunk. There were a couple of recalls but they were quick fixes and everything was fine.

- Diane L

Great car for those of everyday use!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The car is really good on gas I have not had any issues with my vehicle and I've had it for 2 years, it's a decent sized vehicle and works good for someone that has everyday use of a car. I've driven my car on an 8 hour trip and it gave me no issues I haven't had to replace anything on it that isn't due to normal wear and tear of a vehicle.

- ARIANNA H

Minor issues, but great car

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The Cruze is the perfect size car for me and the gas mileage is great. I do have some issues with the window locks in that the windows have fallen into the doors due to a flimsy plastic bracket holding it in place. I also have an issue where I occasionally lose coolant but it goes away. Overall I am satisfied but there are a few issues.

- Allison V

Good car, just a few issues.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Base model has no cruise control. This caused me to put an aftermarket cruise control on it, which caused sensors to go bad. Other than this, I haven't had many issues with it. The car is very comfortable and easy to ride in. It is reliable and handles well. Another negative to this car is that it does not have a whole lot of power.

- Tim G

Has been a great car until it hit 70000 miles.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Has needed rear axle seal, water pump, thermostat, now has a small oil leak, they re checking, seems trust after 70000 miles things started happening. I like the ride and the style. I had the plugs changed and gas mileage is better. The print job is very durable and shines up nice. Brakes last long time. The car is just ok on snow.

- Gregory G

The Chevy Cruze is a wonderful vehicle that you can rely on!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my car! I have had it for almost ten years and it is been a car I have relied on and it is held up to its expectations. When I am in the market for a new vehicle I will definitely buy the same car just a newer model. It drives well in all kinds of weather and it holds a good amount of people without being a huge car.

- Courtney P

Chevy Cruze good gas mileage.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love this car. It is compact yet has enough space for what we need. It has been extremely reliable and has performed very well even under extreme weather conditions. The comfort level of driving has gone down some but I think that is just due to age and there are some things we could do to improve that I am sure.

- Mary L

Nice features; not so good performance

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It drives like a go cart. It shifts hard and revs high. It is nice looking and comes with an aux input. It is a very small car. You feel like you are on top of everybody in the car. It has a lot of trunk space. It also has a lot of information in dash window; like MPG, oil level, maintenance information etc.,

- Alexis M

Chevy Cruze: lemon or nah?

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Recently I have started having multiple engine problems with my car. Gaskets failing and skipping. We keep repairing but it is like the engine itself is just faulty. I have sunk more than $1500 in the past 9 months into this cars engine. I feel like for its age and mileage I shouldn't be having this problem..

- James N

Good small family car for short trips

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Great performance for a smaller family car. Gets great gas mileage. It rides comfortable in the back and front. All features work great. Only problem I have is the fan stays on all the time no matter the temperature. Can't find the solution to the issue. Have researched and is a common problem in this car.

- Alicia M

I am reviewing the Chevrolet Cruze lt. Review is honest and not full of fluff.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My car has had many recalls and things go wrong. It has needed lots of maintenance and upkeep when it was supposed to be an easy upkeep vehicle. It is good on gas but is not roomy. A car seat does not fit in the back seat comfortably. I would not purchase again if I knew I would have the issues that I do.

- Brooke M

Best feature that I like it's a nice compact car. Great on gas.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

This car hasn't had problems since I bought it. It's reliable best compact car I've driven. Great air conditioner. Nothing bad to say about Chevy. These cars are built to last. The only thing I regularly check is tire pressure but that's cause of the potholes in streets. Highly recommend the Chevy Cruze.

- Peter M

Why I would buy this car again.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My car is comfortable and pretty decent on gas. Though I will say at 70,000 miles the head blew. And had to spend a lot to fix it because of specific specialized parts. Aside from that, the seats don't get to hot, and it is a very smooth ride. I do enjoy that it is a stick shift helps preserve the gas.

- Megan L

Great car with a few exceptions.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The car has been super on gas mileage, comfort level is decent, would order a lumbar support if got another one, handles well, good pickup. Faults- after 125,000 miles starting to nickel-dime us to death, also seem to need to run premium gas in it or is doggy and does not kick into passing gear well.

- Ellen W

Mom of two infants says car is ok.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It is not that comfortable for long drives. It drives fairly nicely on the road and in weather-related conditions. Two car seat do fit in the back, but a shorter person would have to be the driver. It has a large truck capacity. I do not like that the armrest is so far back and cannot move upwards.

- Elizabeth S

Great gas mileage in a comfortable ride.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Comfortable seats. Fairly smooth ride. Trunk size large in comparison to other cars its size. Four cylinder turbo engine has some power but gets great gas mileage. It is very roomy for being a economy car. One small complaint, some road noise when back window is rolled down. Very dependable car.

- Karen B

Safe and secure after an accident

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Ultimately I really enjoy my vehicle. I had one as a rental car for a few weeks after totaling my previous vehicle and fell in love with it, at that point I knew it was something I wanted permanently. It's not too big. Makes me feel safe. I am able whip it around comfortably. It drives smoothly.

- Taylor F

Cruze - Cruze Right Along

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Several recall issues fixed with no problem. The vehicle has been very reliable with minimal maintenance: mostly just oil changes and tire rotations. I have been very happy with my vehicle and was sad to see that Chevrolet decided to discontinue the Chevy Cruze. I would have bought another one.

- Anthony K

The Cruze was wonderful at first!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The vehicle is very comfortable and spacious. It is great with kids. The drive was pretty smooth when I first made my purchase. Now, the most irritating issue is the transmission, which is not a cheap repair by far. Upon further research, it seems to be a common issue with this make and model.

- Debby W

Comfortable despite a few minor issues!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The car is usually reliable but also sometimes has some problems. The air conditioner in the car makes it much harder to drive as the car is a stick shift. However, it feels very safe to be in. It is also very comfortable and has seats that can move very far back or forward to improve comfort.

- Amanda W

Chevy Cruze: a bigger turd than the one in grandmas depends right now

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Completely unreliable and the parts aren't necessarily cheap. Front window fogs up constantly for no reason. Terribly low resale value (because of how unreliable they are) Problems with engine temperature sensor. Uncomfortable seats. Takes forever for the heater to warm-up or ac to cool down.

- Timothy S

I've driven my to several states and back with no problems. Good gas mileage!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It drives smooth. Gets okay gas mileage. Doesn't need frequent repairs. Cruise control is great. Some problems are when it is too cold out the sensors do not read tire pressure properly and I've had issues with the windshield wiper fluid holder cracking and spilling out in cold temperatures.

- Amanda R

Rear view camera, Bluetooth capability, good on gas

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I really haven't had any major issues with the car. I keep my maintenance appointments, and it runs awesome, I like the features, such as rear view camera, Bluetooth capability and it gets great mileage on gas. It's spacious inside, but looks compact on the outside. It's really awesome

- Vanessa F

A great detail is that I can still use the Auxiliary cord for music.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my Chevy Cruze. The only major issue I have had is with the coolant leaking and having to replace a seal. I have 150,000 miles on my car and with regular maintenance, I have not had any major problems. The factory speakers sound great and the heated seats are a great feature.

- Christine H

Chevy Cruze review from a college student!

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I have had my Cruze for two years and I absolutely love it! I'm a single college student and it's the perfect size for me and my friends! The only downside is I had to recently change all the spark plugs and buy a new battery, and it's not great in the snow! Otherwise it's perfect!

- Kelsey F

Would not purchase this car again.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Good on gas, easy to drive, but there has been consistent repairs needed every year that I have had it. Problems with it include transmission, Air conditioning, catalytic converter, etc. The check engine light would come on all the time. I Would not purchase this car again.

- Elise H

Before and after accidents

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my Chevy Cruze. I wouldn't complain when I first got my vehicle. But unfortunately I did get into a accident to my back bumper and ever since then my vehicle has problems with acceleration and a bit of a problem with braking. But other than that best car I have gotten.

- Jasmine A

The Chevy Cruze is a good and reliable car.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I haven't really had any issues with my Cruze. I had to replace two of the tires after 2 years of owning it but that's only because I had a nail in one of the tires. It is a good reliable sedan. I like the way it looks on the inside and outside. Very good experience overall.

- Kris B

If I could light my car on fire and push it off of a bridge I would do it.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It is way too small if you have children because the rear facing car seats barely fit, the check engine light is always on, the radio turns on and off on its own, it doesn't want to start after getting gas, I have to rev the gas pedal to get my car to start after fueling up.

- Sierra C

It really does Cruze along.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

There were a few recalls on this car that have caused issues. It may just be my AC unit, but it pulls a lot of power and sounds like a plane is taking off. Small backseat. Lots of trunk space. Great gas mileage. I also like the smooth trip it provides, it really does Cruze.

- Alicia R

2012 Chevy Cruze review: great on gas

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Drives very nice. It is a very small car but definitely great on gas! drives very smooth and the brakes aren't too touchy but just right. The car has cruise and several other functions available on the steering wheel for easier access. The speakers are pretty loud as well.

- Jade T

Pain in the rear end not worth it.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It started out as an amazing car but over the last year there has been nothing by problems. The turbo went out then the defrosters and trunk no longer works. The lights and computer have a mind of their own. We have had it worked on multiple times for o2 sensor as well.

- Nicole B

It's amazing and most of all great on gas.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

So far we have had no problems. Other than slight issues like a headlight and we also had to get some new belt for it. Does great on gas too. The acceleration could be better in it but it's only a 4 cylinder so I guess I can't say much. Fixes are simple and cheap too.

- Joel N

It lets me know when I've left something in the backseat, it has a reminder,

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my Chevy Cruze, it gets great gas mileage. I've only had it a short time but it proving to be one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, it's reliable and has never given me problems. I certainly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking buy a reliable vehicle.

- Amy N

My revving Cruze, why people always think I'm angry in the drive thru

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I like most everything about the car, namely it's comfort, stereo, interior, and simplicity. The thing I dislike most about my vehicle is the noise that it makes while sitting in park, which sounds like the engine is revving at all times. That is my only main gripe

- Carson L

I love this car, it has been great to me

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I really love my car! I have had no issues since purchasing two years ago and honestly Would recommend it to anyone looking for a good reliable car. I think that it is a great car for someone just starting a family or someone who is single or married without kids.

- Emily C

A Cruze without cruise. Fun and sporty yet practical and useful.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

It does not have cruise control but I think that is an option on the cars. It is perfect size. Not to big but comfortable for my taller friends and for me as I am petite. Check engine light has come on twice for sensors going bad. Trunk pops very easy with key fob.

- Sierra P

Great performance and reliability.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

My vehicle is extremely reliable, and runs great. Its features are very modern and makes me feel like I am up to date with technology. I haven't experienced any problems with the performance thus far. It's very comfortable and makes me feel great when I am driving.

- Randy J

A good reliable car for someone on a budget.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The thing I do not like about the car is when I press the gas so that I can go faster, it takes some time to speed up. It also jerks a bit while trying to gain speed. The other thing was that I found it confusing to connect my car to my phone through Bluetooth.

- Lisette C

Great commuter car with great MPG

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Great commuter vehicle. Gets exceptional gas mileage, very low maintenance, and has a smooth ride. Seating is comfortable for driver and front passenger but back seating is a little tight. The trunk space allows you to bring your whole closet on any road trip.

- Alex T

Reliable car as long as regular maintenance is done.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I have a short on the constantly blows a fuse. Have had to replace a few things like the pcv valve. Make sure you get OEM parts others do not last long. Gas mileage is good . His car just needs regular TLC and it will be just fine. Keep up on all oil changes.

- Rebecca E

Small but good for a single person.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I love my car but sometimes it seems a bit to small. Especially when it's a group of friends. Or if I need to transport something big. It drives really smooth especially if you keep up with all of maintenance. The trunk is very spacious. Great gas mileage.

- Alex V

Comfortable and has great features

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Very comfortable and pretty good on gas. Overall, I am very happy with my Cruze! I enjoy having the capability to go between automatic or manual transmission. Also, the vehicles electronic dash allows me to check my tire pressure, remaining oil life, etc.

- Megan E

Cruising in a Chevy Cruze

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

Whirring noise from engine when air conditioning/fan is off. The overall run is pretty good. I have had issues with it dying when in park and left on at like a drive thru or occasionally on the break at stop lights, but this is random and not constantly.

- Brandy C

Perfect car for the family.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

I absolutely love this vehicle it drives amazing has lots of room for my family the trunk size is huge it handles perfectly in all types of weather I have other family members who will only buy this car every time they upgrade it's always another Cruze.

- Nicole H

Standard 2012 Chevy Cruze Trunk Issue

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

The only problem I have with my 2012 Chevy Cruze is there is no trunk button on the standard Cruze. You have to use the car remote to open trunk. And you have to cut the car off then use the remote to pop the trunk. It will not open if car is running.

- Samantha B

Runs great even for being an older car.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

No problems! It's a great car! Runs smooth, since I purchased it I have had no problems except for a slight crack in the windshield. Great gas mileage and low cost in maintenance. Tires are cheap too. Has all the modern feature except for onboard GPS.

- Ruby R

It is a small car with a lot of power behind it.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS

- Chelsea C

Super reliable, would buy again.
