2011 Chevrolet Equinox Owner Reviews & Problems
Reviews For Chevrolet Equinox
My white night was an extraordinary car named Chevrolet Equinox.
My husband purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox lt a few years ago and what struck me was that it was a Chevrolet. I didn't see that coming at all but when I finally drove it I understood why. It was the smoothest ride I have ever had in a vehicle. The comfort I felt as I sat in the cushioned seat that enveloped me with ease. He bought the car for his Uber driving job that he signed up for as something to do after he retired. His riders constantly questioned the make, model and style of the car. (the seats warmed me up on those cold mornings in Kansas city). The acoustics were also in play because my husband would play jazz CD's while driving. This made the ride even smoother, and relaxing. He still owns this car and even after going over 100, 000 miles it still performs like a new car. I hope to acquire this car and get him another or just buy my own. The unfortunate down side to the car is that it burns a lot of oil, other than that it is the best car that I have driven.
Minor issues but definitely a long-term trooper.
My vehicle has has a couple of recalls, one of which required me to visit a couple of dealerships and ultimately have to call the manufacturer in order to get someone to even look at the issue. Otherwise I am mostly happy with the vehicle, with age, I am starting to see some wear in the leather console and this appears to happen with others who have the vehicle. It is reliable, roomy, the ability to move the rear seat back and forth has been a blessing in order to add additional cargo space for those just a little larger items. At 120K miles I am getting some puttering in eco mode that no one has been able to figure out but otherwise she rides great.
It is great on the ice roads with the all wheel drive.
My 2011 Chevy equinox is all wheel drive. And at First was a dream come true. Then it started having problems. Exhaust manifold had to be replaced after 1 year. Cost me over 900 dollars. Then the whole catalyst system failed. It drinks oil like no one's business. It has a faulty gas pump wich leaks gasoline into the oil. Had to have a whole engine overhaul. Thank god most of it was under special coverage warranties.it is an extremely comfortable vehicle. And mostly reliable. Especially now that all the faulty parts are fixed. And my check engine light came on not long ago. For O2 sensor. But it was just the fuses for the sensors that had blown
2011 Chevrolet Equinox review. Have enjoyed this vehicle.
Have over 140,000 miles on it and have had no problems. Very comfortable vehicle to ride in. Have made several trips over 2000 miles. Have the IT model. First set of tires lasted 89,000 miles. Still have not had to change brakes. Have leather heated seats and driver seat has all sorts of adjustments needed to make it comfortable for whoever drives it. When newer gas mileage all around would average 24 miles in town and 30 on trips. Has a four cylinder engine so does not have the best pickup but is adequate but would recommend six if buying again. Has a backup mirror in the rearview mirror which is very helpful when backing up.
My 2011 Equinox is amazing!
My car is great. It has not had any problems. However, I have had to replace the transmission fluid twice and my car only has 89, 000 miles on it. Then gas mileage is pretty decent—I get about 24 mpg— but I do not get as high of gas mileage as I used to. The one thing I would change about my vehicle is that it does not have Bluetooth music capability. My year has Bluetooth calling, but not Bluetooth music compatibility. Overall, I love my car and would buy another Equinox after this one, but mine is not going anywhere anytime soon.
I think her reliability is the most important.
My car came to me used. She now has 200k+ on her! And she still purrs like a kitten! I have never had a bit of trouble with her. She is very reliable. She seems to have a really good suspension under her cause I had a front end alignment done when I first got her about a year ago and she still goes down the road straight! She is not the luxury model but I prefer that since I like to bring my dachshunds with me. The interior is very easy to clean. She seems to have several amenities for a car of her age.
Chevy Equinox 2011- a great car for college.
I love my Equinox. The seats are very comfortable and they are easy to keep clean. They do not start to smell, either, like some cars without leather seats do. I am also pleased with the sound quality of the speaker system in the car. It is very clear and sounds great. The car is much roomier than it appears to be, making road trips much easier. I haven't had any problems with it, other than the air system failing to work. This was fixed by simply plugging the device back into the console.
Check the oil or you will have none in it before you know it!
I love the look & style of this car but it has major flaws. It uses oil. Like lots of oil. I have to check it every 2 weeks & normally have to add at least a quart a month. The oil has to be changed religiously every 5000 miles or a specific solenoid goes bad & has to be replaced. This part is cheap but the location is what costs in repairs. Takes about 2 hours in labor. Repairs for this vehicle are expensive. I currently need a catalytic converter that I cannot afford to fix.
It is very reliable and a pleasure to drive.
I love this car. It is only a 4 cylinder but, it drives extremely well and it is. Easy on gas and has plenty of power. It is a silver gray color with grey and. Black interior. It is comfortable to driver and a pleasure to take on long trips. It is very reliable and I have never had a problem with it. I think anyone who buys one will be pleasantly surprised by the handling and gas mileage and the comfort. I will buy another one once I think this one has run its course.
Oil consumption testing to be done.
Oil consumption is the only downfall that has been a problem. We got oil change after oil change and still ran out of oil before my next scheduled oil change. The dealership said nothing was wrong, after my husband went back and complained, the agreement to do an oil consumption test. So after five oil changed later and more talks with the dealerships, we were told they would replace parts under warranty per Chevrolet. Once that was completed it had worked just fine.
