It is sturdy and reliable.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

My speedometer doesn't work, the computer system is broken but it is expensive to fix. I really like the gas miles I get in town and highway miles. The seats are extremely comfortable and there is room for 6 of us to sit. One of my kids put a penny in the tape tech and it no longer works. It handles extremely well even in bad weather. It is big enough to feel safe but not too big that I worry where to park. Rear defrost works really well. It is a tan car so it doesn't really get noticed by police officers. I like that it has a middle console to lean on. My wife broke the change drawer and only one of our cigarette lighters / outlets works. The hood is easy to open and any fluids I would need to refill are very accessible and easy to fill. I have not had to do any major repairs on it. The trunk had a huge amount of space in it. I can carry ball gear, jumper cables, plus blankets, etc. I have had to replace the battery but accessing it was extremely easy when it died on me. I have had to replace tires and that can get spending but there are cheaper options for this car which is great for someone on a budget. Same goes for windshield wipers.

Chevy impala is a great family vehicle and is well made.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I really love my impala, it is a very reliable vehicle with only minor issues. The transmission slips occasionally, but has been checked by a mechanic and they cannot find any issues. I have found that this happens when it is cold or sits for some time. Some rusting on one wheel well and minor cosmetic things. But overall a spacious and wonderful car. It is great for our family of four and we have space for more people if we needed it. I really love how big the trunk of this vehicle is. I feel like turning radius could be better and I wish it was a little better on gas, but I feel it does well for a 6 cylinder. I also feel like it has been built fairly sturdy.

Chevy impala is a luxury at a great price.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I love my car. I have had no major issues with it. Smooth ride on long distance travels, great gas mileage and comfortable seats. There is plenty of legroom in the front and the back seat. The trunk space is huge! Plenty of room for your needs. The CD player and radio has great sound, also with amp in the trunk. Overall the impala is a great car for a family or a single person.

2004 Chevy Impala: Good Starter Vehicle

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I really like my car. The seats are comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. The a/c works really well and actually works better than my parents'. My vehicle has been having some traction issues, but haven't had it looked at yet. Overall it's a really nice vehicle it just doesn't have any modern upgrades such as an auxiliary cord though you could always get a new radio.

- Kay K

The car has been a good car. We purchased the car in 2007.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

Never had major issues. Normal routine care. Comfortable car. Mileage is not too bad. Have had the car for years. Had to replace tires but we have had the car for awhile. This model has leather, heated seats. Great stereo system. The only issue is that inner trim around the windshield is wide so sometimes it obstructs view. But overall, it is a great car.

I love my used 2004 used Chevy Impala

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

My vehicle has problems with the transmission sticking and also recurring problems with the air conditioning. The overall performance of the vehicle is great. It drives smooth..handles the road well. FWD..sunroof..large trunk space. There is also comfortable seating for my little family of 4. This was a great buy for us even with some miles already on it.

2004 Chevy impala one of the best vehicles ever

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

My impala has been Very reliable, comfortable with limited problems since 2007. I've not had any engine problems. The transmission has been replaced, but other than that issues have been few and far between. I would most definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone. It is a very spacious vehicle as well. Two baby carriers fit comfortably in the back seat.

- Amanda L

Best car I've had since getting out of high school

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I have not had any serious issues with my impala since getting it in 2015. It has been very reliable for daily transportation to and from work and around the city. The impala has cloth seats with great adjustability. Although I have a basic impala the factory stereo is awesome, the space inside the impala and truck space is incredible.

Over 240,000 miles and running strong

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

Very reliable vehicle. Have had it for about a year, and have had no problems. It now has over 240,000 miles on it, and still running strong. I would definitely recommend an impala to anyone looking to buy a new car. Our next vehicle will for sure be an impala. Sorry I don't have any negative feedback. It is all around a good car.

- Chris C

Chevy impala are good reliable cars.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

Chevy impala are good cars. The maintenance costs are not costly. Very comfortable and adjustable seats to sit in. Room to sit 5 people. Good dashboard setup. Road performance is smooth and quiet. Seems to have a small tank, so gas mileage could be improved. Although, it has been a reliable vehicle for me and my family for years.

2004 Chevy Impala: Great car to pass onto your teen.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

It has survived 15 years of steady driving and will easily take more. Very comfortable car with smooth driving. The air condition works great, as well as the heat. Not a car for heavy winters, but gets around decently in mild snow and ice. Reliable and has had little rusting despite being outside for half of the year.

- Hayden W

Uncomfortable Cramped Driver

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

Vehicle is extremely difficult to get in and out of. Also the space from the seat lowered as far as possible to the ceiling is not a lot. My head always hit the top. Steering wheel doesn't move very much so the up is still in your lap. If you were 5'3' and weighed 125 you would fit fine. Obviously we are not.

Very reliable and nice looking.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I love everything about it, gets me where I need to go. It is 15 years old but has been taken very good care of. There are no fancy gadgets but has everything I want and need. Looks new on inside and out, with good gas mileage and drives great. I would definitely get a newer model if this one ever quits.

- Kim S

Lots of space!! Very good gas mileage as well!!

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I love my car! Some of the really good benefits are the space. There is so much room in my car, which makes it very comfortable. The car drives smooth and is still very nice. Some of the negative things are, it is beginning to rust pretty bad underneath. There is a slip in the transmission possibly.

- Haley D

The only parts I have ever replaced on it is battery and tires.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

It has overall been a very dependable car I have owned it for 10 years and I have never had any trouble out of it I would recommend it to anyone the only part that I have ever replaced is a battery I am tired I change the oil every 3 months and it starts right up in the mornings and it never misses.

- Karen W

Reliable and dependable great work car or small family car. Great on gas.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

There has been no major problems. Have had the car 10 yrs This car has been very reliable. Just your usual maintenance.. But you do have to watch. 1l Radiator\Water pump. Tends to go out. No other major problems. I would recommend this car if you are looking for reliable and dependable.

- Carol B

Very dependable car! I would recommend it.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I love my vehicle. I've never had any major problems with it. The air conditioner and heater work great. Although it does leak in the back seat floorboard when the air is on. The gas mileage is pretty good. I just wish it was a little bit bigger. For the most part it's been a really good car.

- Fontaine L

It is grey with blue interior

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

The performance of this vehicle is great, it runs smooth and is very reliable. The gas mileage is really great. I haven't had any problems with this car. The size of the vehicle is perfect and the trunk has a large amount of space as well. The air conditioning and heat work great as well.

- Ashley W

The best car I've ever own starting from a 1934 Plymouth..

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I bought this car at 77,000 miles about 3 years ago. It's been very reliable with only a small amount of repairs being done to it. It's a joy to drive and very stable on the road. MPG is about 25 mpg in the city and almost 30 MPG on the open road. This is the best car I've ever owned.

- Stuart M

Long lasting vehicle when well maintained.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

There is a sensor issue with my impala at the moment which is causing the check engine light to stay on. My husband says it is an easy fix, which is actually the main reason why he bought an impala. They are reliable and long lasting cars when properly maintained, and easy to work on.

Impala Transmission Problems

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

The only problem I have actively noticed that was wrong with it is it has transmission issues, which are pretty expensive to fix. The other things that are noticed in the vehicle are minor, I don't care for the cloth seats. My radio randomly went out, and the body rusts very easily

- Jennifer R

I love the body trim. It still looks good .

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

Regular wear and tear on a car that's 15 years old. It gets good gas mileage. I routinely change the oil to keep and transmission fluid to keep it running well. The air conditioner and heating system works well. The power windows and locking systems also works very well.

- Darlene S

Maybe be poopy but runs good.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

Problems: normal problems with changing brakes and rotators, sway bar broke, car is rusting, passenger back door fills with water, paint comes off easy, lights dull, no actual interior lights. Runs amazing though it is a soldier. Leather seat are hot in summer.

- Amanda K

I trust my Chevrolet Impala to get me where I need to go.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I've driven my Impala for over 6 years. It has been a very reliable vehicle. It is a fuel efficient car for its size and age. Due to its age, I regularly have it serviced to continue its reliability. I would definitely purchase another Impala in the future.

- Stephanie B

My model has a sunroof, heated leather seats.

2004 Chevrolet Impala Base

I absolutely love my car. It is a super sturdy car and a great first car. When I had a remote start, it would freeze up my car in the heat and would not allow me to start it until the car cooled down. Once I removed it I have not had a problem since.
