Reliability and design of Chevrolet Impala

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

This vehicle has been very reliable. It handles well in all types of weather conditions. The interior is comfortable and spacious. The dashboard and cup holder areas could use some changes. The cup holders are in a spot where the cup tips over very easily. It is also not deep enough. It is a wide area with a divider that moves but it does not stay in place. The center console is nice. The glove box is so far over that it cannot be accessed from the drivers side. This vehicle does not have heated seats. The front and rear defrosters work well. I would definitely recommend Chevrolet vehicles to anyone.

Chevy impala pros and cons

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

My vehicle is a 2005 Chevrolet Impala. The gas gauge and the speedometer doesn't work. The transmission has a slip in it. Other than that it runs great. It speeds up nicely. The headlights are amazing. The frame is mint. The inside is comfortable. The interior is grey. The trunk is nice and roomy as well. I'm able to fit a 12 inch jl sub in the back just perfectly.

Repairs were made within an 8 month time frame. .

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

Car rides and drives smoothly. I do however have issues with the electrical system. Air and work ok. The blinker system had to be replaced. The water pump had to be replaced. The window switch on the driver's side had to be replaced. The brakes had to be replaced. The thermostat had to be replaced. All these repairs were performed within a 8 month time frame.

Red Runner My Impala is bright red

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

Had been reliable and runs good. It has a lot of highway miles and the only problem other than a few oil leaks in head gasket. It had a turn signal issue which is known in Impalas. Most of the time the problem less in the hard switch. Mine was not. The fuse was not getting a good connection in the fuse box. Overall I don't have any complaints about my Impala.

Smooth driving Spanish reliable car.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

The only problem I've had with this car is the door lock and the heater. Other than that it has lots of room front to back and trunk is really big to. It is comfortable to drive longer distances and is smooth driving. For example there is no play at all in the steering wheel like I've had in my other cars and trucks I use to own. Love this car

- Windy R

The car is good to drive from one place to the other place.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

It is a good car for a person to drive. It is a good first car for someone to have. It is drive good in all the conditions that it might be. It can seat up to 5 people in the car. It gets up to good gas mileage. It has a good warranty information. The condition of the car is in good condition. The inside of the car is in good condition as well.

My vehicle is tan with soft cushioned seats.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

I like this car. It drives really smooth and easy. It is my first car as I'm only 20 but has lasted me four years already. My gas gauge doesn't work but other than that I haven't had much problems with it. I think it's definitely a good car for teens learning to drive it's not too big or too small. It can fit 5 people. I overall love this car.

The middle seat in the front row, drivers

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

The car drives amazing when there is no problems with the cars. It drives extremely smooth. The car is extremely spacious. It has a 3rd seat in the front of the car, so it can fit a total of 6 people, very cozy and roomy. When something is wrong with the car, there's a little message that pops up to tell you what's wrong, which is amazing.

Chevy Impala very spacious and people say it's like riding in a boat.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

It's getting older so I'm having more and more problems with it. Mainly the battery and my heat every winter seems to come unplugged (probably not the technical term). Honestly, I'm in the market for a new car sooner rather than later. I really enjoying driving our other household car which is a Ford Fusion it's way more luxurious.

Dependable, safe, and practical 2005 Chevy impala.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

Although my car is older and does not have all of the latest technology features of new cars, it is an extremely dependable car. I have had it for 9 years and it has over 225,000 miles on it and I have had very little to no problems with the car at all. The only repairs I have had to take care of were due to normal wear and tear.

Great car for an old model

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

Only issues I have is Needing a major tune up! The car pretty much runs smooth for the most part. Still in good condition, there's no damage at all. Everything works great from the breaks steering windshield wipers and turning signals. Honestly I don't even consider selling this vehicle as long as I can get where I need to go.

05 Impala: Perfect, Practical Pick

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

This car gets great gas mileage, usually between 27 and 33, especially for highway-heavy trips like my normal commute. Seats are comfortable enough to not be miserable after long times on the road. The steering handles easily, and the gas pedal has a perfect response time. It's quick, but won't jerk you out of your seat.

- Mikaela R

05 Chevy impala that has over 250,000 miles that has some problems.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

My car has problems with headlights wiring. It needs an oil change. It needs struts. It needs brakes. It need new tires. It needs a heater core. It also needs a door actuator. It also runs very rough. My car has a salvage title. The outside of my car has scratches in the front and back. It has over 250,000 miles on it.

- Stephanie A

The model has dark tinted windows along with a slick silver body. It is gray.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

Anyone that purchases this model will be satisfied. I own a model from 2005 and it still hasn't let me down in 2019. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who ask. Soon I plan on buying a more recent model as well as keeping the older one. It has done me a great service of getting me exactly where I need to go.

Chevy impala the road cruiser

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

I have always been a Chevy man. They have always allowed me to get the job done while providing a reliable and safe vehicle. I currently drive A Chevy impala. It gets great gas mileage and is a cruiser in the highway. The car is a 2005 but I have had little to no problems with it besides preventative maintenance.

- Dylan S

Chevy not starting due to anti theft module.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

A lot of unfixable issues with the impala including ignition cylinder setting up anti theft system so you cannot start the car. They never figured out how to fix it and never did a recall. They really should have. Many other issues as well and now they are going to stop making them instead of fixing the problem.

- Julie L

It is like an old friend for me will be hard to walk away from.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

I only have spent money on oil changes when mileage indicated. There was recall on ignition Chevy fixed it no cost. The car is easy to drive. The amount of storage and trunk space is great. Tires easy to replace. 200 thousand miles I put on the car minus 35 thousand at purchase like a new car. I love this model.

- Phyllis V

It is not the best or the worst.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

It was fine at first but has continuous starter and water pump issues. It also had thermostat, ignition switch, radiator and transmission slipping problems. The windows slide off the track and goes out of alignment easily. The seats are comfy and the steering is smooth. It does pretty great gas mileage.

- Jessica H

It only has so many miles, so it does not have a lot of wear and tear.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

It is a very reliable car, the only problem is that it needs a couple things worked on because it is an older car. It does not have many miles on it either. I can take us a long trip and not have to worry about it breaking down. It is more than just a town car because it can travel so many miles.

- Zac H

It has a traction system.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

I have not had many problems with this car. It is very reliable and is very comfortable and has both a cassette and CD player and a radio that has 6 am programmable and 12 FM programmable features. The drivers side has an electric seat adjuster. It is very spacious and can seat six people.

- Marilyn B

The 2005 Chevy, impala. A reliable, sturdy vehicle.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

Like it okay. It is a big, heavy duty car. A large sedan. Easy to drive. I feel safe in it. There have been a few problems with it for little miles on it performance is good. A bit sluggish. Very reliable. It doesn't have a lot of features. The ones in it seem fine. Are a bit primitive.

- Catherine K

My impala The best car I've ever owned and would highly recommend

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

It's a great car, it drives really well. We have had the transmission rebuilt twice in 11 years. It has a security passlock system that has a lot of issues. It's too expensive to fix at this point but other than that I love my car and would buy another one in the future.

- Diana F

low miles and perfect interior, also has sunroof.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

replaced front right wheel bearings, and brake pads, also replaced all 4 tires one month ago. Runs decent. Need a new ignition. And have it serviced every 6 months. 184,000 miles on it and tie rod is going out in the back. Had muffler replaced about a year ago.

- Tiffany C

Used 2005 Chevy Impala 4 door

2005 Chevrolet Impala Base

My Impala has many transmission issues that cause it to not shift gears correctly. The windows don't roll down and I have to kick the air-conditioner to get it to work. Other than that it's an awesome vehicle. Fits 6 which is awesome for my big family
