Chevy Impala: Aging but Reliable

The Chevy impala is a reliable and easily maintainable vehicle. I learned to drive with this car and it was so much easier than other cars starting out. One thing that must be noted is, the car will maintain very well over the years as long as you maintain it. Sometimes oil may need changed earlier than the due date or you may prefer to get consistent check up. Keep in mind it is a fairly old car but not an ancient relic. The gas pedal and steering are very smooth but not too smooth to the point of being too easily maneuvered. One note about this model is the steering/ steering column. It is sturdy but this specific model's wheel seems to be extra sensitive to sharp steering. Of course it won't destroy the column in an instant but I've been told by car shops that the steering on this vehicle compared to other cars is simply a bit more sensitive. In my opinion this positives of this vehicle highly rule out the negative, in functioning, comfort, and more. The back seat is extra passenger friendly with a cup - holder table that pulls out from the middle of the back seats. It also has a CD deck and a tape deck. It's a smooth ride and it even holds up well in snow and ice for what it's worth. I've made it through years of thick Illinois winters with it. The defrost, heating, and cooling, are also extra reliable with little to no issues. There are many more pros but I'm running out of cons so I hope this gives a realistic balance.

Chevy Impala, one terrific car.

We really haven't had many problems with this car, last repair was a new AC compressor. It is a very comfortable car to drive or be a passenger, other people that have driven it have said the same thing. The inside and trunk are very roomy, I have fit larger items in it without any trouble. The one complaint I have is that the air takes a little while to get cold, living in Arizona this can be annoying at times. When it cools down it stays cold. The temperature gauge has never gotten above the middle, even in stop and go traffic. The dual temperature controls are a very nice feature, I am always cold while my husband is warm so we both can be comfortable at the same time. The interior is very nice and has held up well through the years. Usually the upholstery cleans easily with soap and water, once in a while I have to use something stronger. The windshield wipers and defroster work very well, the rear defroster is a nice feature to have. I imagine if you live in an area that has cold weather this feature would be very much appreciated. Even though this is an older car it has performed well and has been extremely dependable over the years. We have almost always had Chevys and have found that by and large they are a good value. I have rented a new Impala and found it to be equally nice, even though a bit smaller. I highly recommend my Chevy Impala, a buyer would be pleased with his purchase.

The Chevy Impala has the comfort, efficiency of a family car with the power.

I really like my car because it is roomy and comfortable. It gets great gas mileage. The trunk space big and has plenty of space to carry a lot of things. I like it because it is a flex fuel vehicle. I can use either gasoline in the car. It has a quick get up and go when I need it to be. The back seat sits very comfortable with the high back to protect your neck and body just in case you get hit in the back. My husband is very tall and some cars has a low roof and sometimes he will hit his head getting in and out. But with our car, he just lowers the seat and he has no problems.

Very reliable and practical.

I have 189,000 miles on the car and there are very few problems. However, the brakes, tires, and rotors need to be replaced often. But the car has never been in a garage so that may be due to the weather. It continues to get good gas mileage. It also has a leak in the oil line that will cost a lot to fix, but that could also be due to weather wear and tear. It has a large trunk and it can be difficult to judge distance when in reverse. It performs well on the highways with good acceleration and maneuverability.

2007 Chevrolet Impala. Great family car

Excellent car. I love it a lot. It is Very reliable and Great on gas for a v6. Plenty of room for me and my daughter. Very spacious trunk for transporting whatever you need to. Lots of window area so blind spots are very minimal. Stock sound system is great quality with both a CD deck and auxiliary input. Key fob is fantastic and works at a really good distance. Strong engine that gets up to speed very quickly and cruise control is always a great perk for highway cruising.

All I know is its an automatic and I can't drive a stick.

it gets my kids and myself where we need to be an it runs good I just hate driving sometimes. I know I need a tune up and maybe some new tires. I'm not much of a car person but I do love being there for my kids. I wish I was working an able to do more with the kids can just be myself. My car is not new it's used and has been reliable so far and I've had it for a few years so far it is perfect.

Overall it is a decent vehicle and runs decently priced

The vehicle is a very good running car, I've out over 110,000 miles on mine. I did however have some transmission trouble at around 80,000 miles and also had to replace the sway bar and rear differential at 100,000 miles. But besides that, the Impala is a great vehicle. Plenty of room, decent power. I would suggest all season tires at all times though. Does not go well in inclement weather .

High mileage Chevy impala.

It drives smooth. Has nice interior. Easy to service. Good on gas. Sound quality of speakers is good as well. Trunk is huge and fits a lot. The car is very spacious and can easily fit up to 5 people without feeling cramped. The only issues I have are the tire sensors not working and the oil sensor not working. It has 230,000 miles on it and still runs great.

2007 Chevy impala: good dependable car.

I like my car. It has been dependable, only have needed to do regular maintenance on it. I wish it were bigger so it would be more comfortable like the previous model and the newer models are. There was a recall for the ignition but besides that everything has functioned as desired. The performance is great along with good gas mileage. Not many features.

Chevy impala a very nice car to. Have.

There has been a recall on the steering column otherwise it is a comfortable car spacious cabin and trunk. Great for traveling with friends and fitting multiple kids. It is equipped with the latest child seat safety mechanisms. It has a aux cord that is great for listening to something besides the radio and automatic start which is lovely in the winter.
