2005 Chevy Malibu, Tan and green 4 door

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

This car has performed very well, as long as the maintenance is kept up. I have replaced a few parts. But it runs well and has a nice speed pick up. The curse control has always worked well. The electronic power steering is a little scary, but parking the car turning it off and restarting it remedies this well. This car has four doors and has worked well. Replacement parts are reasonably priced; the price mechanics charge can be a bit on the high side though. Although this was sold to a relative then to me, the dealer that sold and worked on this car were clueless as to what they were doing and I have had to spend a good amount of money to fix those issues, once fixed things have ran smoothly.

2005 Chevy Malibu ls: a great car that rides to a different tune.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

My car has almost 250,000 miles (original engine) on ot and still going strong. I bought the car from my mom who was the original owner. The main issue I've had with the car is the CD player. I am unable to use it after it ate one of my parents albums a few years back and I can't change it out because I will lose 'the brain' of the cab that gives me all my gas and trip mileage, oil life, temp, and other info. If anyone accidentally hits the eject button, it grinds on forever, trying to eject the disk and there is no stopping,it until it kills the battery. Other than that, the mechanics of the car have been great.

Malibu - Reliable and Easy fixes

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

This is my second Malibu. I decided to buy this one because it is a very reliable vehicle. Minimum maintenance has been done; oil changes, tires, brakes, and new windshield wipers are basically all that has been done to this vehicle. However, the blower motor needed replacing in the 2005 model. Also, the blinker and tail lights needed replacing as well; I was told by a mechanic that those are common problems. It has basic features, such as power locks and windows and a CD player.

Very dependable and great gas mileage for a traveler, and low maintenance.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

Love my car I've had it for years it is very dependable, easy to maintenance it is easy to get to the alternator and battery and starter, the only thing is that you have to take it to the dealer to get the transmission checked it has a sealed system, the inside of the car is very nice my has a grey interior, and very roomy, my car has more than 220000 miles on it and is very reliable, I travel 30 miles everyday to work and I love it, the gas mileage is also nice and affordable.

Reliable, comfy, drives good

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

I love my Chevy Malibu most reliable car I ever had. Only had a few minor issues had to replace Water pump the part was only 15$ it's comfy rides nice cheap fix the kids love it. I would recommend this car it's super reliable as long as you keep up with routine Maintenance. Malibu's come in different kind of features mine is the basic model but I still love it. Super big trunk if you like to shop or have a big load.

I love my Malibu maxx. It has been a good choice for me.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

Nice mid size sporty looking hatchback car. It is the perfect size for a family of five. The truck area is spacious.. I have hauled a single size mattress with no problem. There is enough length for eight foot 2x4s. The cost to drive it is minimal. It gets 28 mpg and replacement parts are reasonable. It has been reliable, it always starts when I am ready to go.The front seats could be more comfortable. .

2005 Chevy Malibu is a good running car with some fixable issues

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

Extremely reliable car. Lots of trunk space. Not as slim as I would like, a bit bulky in my opinion. Issues with dash lights. Unable to replace bulbs on these cars, must replace full dash. Issues with child safety locks. Removed plastic lock cover in backseat as solution so that door cannot be opened when locked. Passenger side window button broke but window still controlled from drivers side just fine.

Chevy Malibu-Power Steering

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

This vehicle tends to have issues with the power steering. Due to problems with the electricity and computer system, the power steering will often go out and leave me having to steer manually. Of course this is rather dangerous but keeping a regular check of the battery and other electronic components has kept the problem under control.

Great [6] banger for the buck.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

The 2005 Malibu maxx has quite a few pretty nice features. It is a 5 door hatchback car. With the back seat laid down the 'trunk' space is awesome. The front seats are heated and power. It has cruise control, and the steering wheel and foot pedals telescope in and out. The only downside for me is that it does not have an auxiliary port.

- Tara B

It is old but gets me where I need to go.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

It is old and has had tons of issues with wear and tear. The turn signal lights constantly burn out. It is a fine enough car, but it is worn out and they just do not last like they used to. The sound system is okay ' but there is not an aux port. It is solid feeling. The power windows are a plus. It used to get pretty good gas mileage.

- Kay K

Very spacious and affordable vehicle. Features are great and the car runs great

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

Malibu is a great vehicle for many reasons. It is really good on gas even though it's a 6 cylinder. The interior is very comfortable. If proper maintenance is done on the vehicle it works great. Have owned this car for about 5 years and have never had any issues. Replacement parts are usually pretty affordable. Great vehicle!

4 door sedan, leather heated seats, cruise control, takes unleaded gasoline.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

Interior is my most favorite part, it's great and clean and amazing quality. A few electrical problems involving the gauge and center screen, but when it comes to performance on this car I have had no problems whatsoever! It's amazing and drives great, if only the electrical work in it was better, it would be a 10/10!

Excellent Chevy Malibu Review

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

The electrical isn't the best, our lights burn out quicker because of it and the lights will sometimes flicker in tune with the music that is playing. The car does get pretty good gas mileage and travels long distances really well especially when fully loaded. This car has been very reliable and a great first car.

- Abigail B

good gas mileage. large back seat. Runs smoothly. Great speakers.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

Very Dependable and great on gas mileage despite being a v6. The stereo system if awesome but it doesn't have an aux port so you have to use an FM tuner. The back seat is roomy. Eve more than my husbands SUV. it holds a car seat very easily. I bought this car used with 164000 and she still runs like a dream.

- Courtney J

The best part of the vehicle is the radio. It's very easy to use

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

It's very reliable, easy to work on if there's any problems with it. Very comfortable seats. It performs very good haven't any major problems with it. Drives really great like if it was a new car. Gas lasts long for me. The only problem I've had with it was with sensors but it was easy to fix.

- Margaret C

A good and reliable car!!

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

A good reliable car, it has had it's problems just like any car. We've had to replace a lot of exhaust, sway bar, ball joints and the occasional sensor or two but all in all it's a Hardy reliable car. I would love to get the same car just a newer model if possible since I trust the Malibu name

- Joseph P

The best detail I like about my car is the seats that are heated.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

No problems until 2017 and got an oil leak. Performance is great, and very reliable. Seats are comfortable and lay all the way down. Seats also have heaters. Great radio and CD player. Has air conditioning and heat. Radio, heat and air conditioner buttons also on the steering wheel.

- Debbie C

Me and my Malibu: a love story.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

My car is great. I've owned it for 10+ years and have never had any major problems. It is highly reliable even on long road trips. It has enough features to be consider modern but not so many that you are driving a terminator. I could not picture a better experience with a vehicle.

- Justin K

very expensive repairs required after 10 years

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

This vehicle required a new engine after 135000 miles. It required a completely new pan under the engine about 3 years ago. It required an expensive water pump replacement about 5 years ago. Overall it's been kind of a lemon for the amount of money spent on it in the last 5 years

Loving Chevrolet's Products

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

I love this car. Some of the issues I've dealt with are the tie rods, brakes, and also I had an issue with the steering column. Some of the issues are slim easy fix and others not so easy. But for the money spent it's a great vehicle. It rides smooth and it's reliable.

- Felicia W

The car of my dreams. My car is very comfortable and good on gas.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

I brought it as a used car. The first year I had it I really didn't have any problem. I one month I drove over 4,000 miles. Everything was fine. I had a few problems but it is very comfortable and I love that it has where it tells me how many miles I can go on a tank of gas.

- Susan L

Great car; bad gas mileage

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

I like my car, smooth drive with no issues. The interior is beautiful with comfortable seats. I only have one issue; my gas runs out pretty quickly. Other than that I really have no complaints. It gets me where I have to go, and it's very reliable/dependable.

- Kins S

Great for a family and very good on gas.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS

A reliable car. If you keep up with maintenance it will last a long time. No electrical problems. Runs smoothly. The car is in great condition inside. It is a family size sedan. Great for traveling places. Gas is good. It is a v6 but still great on gas.
