Fraught with electrical problems, rusted exterior 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
2005 Chevrolet Malibu LT
I was really excited when I decided to buy a used 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. Equipped with butter leather gray interior, a sunroof, and a good speaker system, this was about to be the coolest car I had ever owned. However, after owning it for only a couple weeks, I started to notice some electrical problems. For example, my gas gauge only worked when I had a full tank. Once it reached a certain point, the sensor would detect that I had 'Low Fuel,' even if I had 3/4 of a tank. About a year later, the gas gauge stopped working altogether, so now I must track my miles. Additionally, the fuse that operated my trunk blew, and since the fuse box is in the trunk, I have not been able to open it for over 2 years (the keyhole on my trunk is different than the key for the ignition). Despite the electrical problem, the bottom of the frame is completely rusted out. This is probably because I live in Michigan, but the under-body is also extremely rusty. The only good thing about this car is that it has somehow left me going. I would not recommend this Make/Model to anybody.
