Chevrolet Malibu ltz 2011.
It has super comfortable leather seats, which have seat warmers. Very spacious car with many compartments to hold items. Comes with an aux and USB port. Sound quality is amazing and overall is a super luxurious car. I have the v6 so it is pretty fast but really bad on gas.

2011 Chevy Malibu 5/10. Major repairs needed at low miles.
My 2011 Chevy Malibu has been mostly reliable but has had several expensive problems that I feel occurred at a premature mileage. The worst two issues I have experienced were timing chains worn out and transmission failure. The timing chains worn out at about 50k miles(estimated). This repair was covered under the extended warranty that I purchased at the time of buying the car. The second major issue was transmission failure at under 80k miles. This repair was needed outside of the warranty and cost approx. $3,000. I feel that these issues occurred far too early in the life of the vehicle. I maintain the vehicle mostly myself so I know that the timing chains were not for lack of oil changes on my part but possibly the neglect of previous owner. It is possible that this is not a Chevrolet quality issue but a lack of maintenance issue. The transmission failure, on the other hand is unexplainable. Other than these two costly repairs, my Malibu has been reliable and dependable. The car is comfortable for use as a daily driver. The engine feels plenty powerful for its small size but is not extremely efficient. I average 22mpg. Overall I am neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with the vehicle.

Owner 2011
The timing chain on this car has a real problem. Brakes whenever it feels like it. Very costly to fix as the type of engine usually dies major damage. Like replacing the whole engine. Check engine light comes on frequently throwing out a code that you think is a sensor but in turn is the timing.ESC light comes on and goes off.Chevy skipped on the clear coat for hoods so it looks like it has a peeling sunburn. All in all because of their financial troubles at this year they went cheap and it is now showing….

The sleek and stylish design of my Chevy Malibu.
I really enjoy the smoothness of the ride. My Chevy Malibu is also great on gas especially with highway mileage. Very spacious and reliable I would definitely recommend this vehicle to future buyers. It is also a very stylish and sleek car good for everyone from beginner drivers all the way to grandparents alike.

Was a Malibu the right choice?
It might have been that it was an impulse buy; I got in a wreck with my 2001 Malibu and I knew I liked my 01. I did talk my dealer down a little bit, but I agreed on a car without doing much on a background check and it was overpriced. Since I've had my car over the last 2 or so years I have dealt with its' constant bipolar attitude. It goes through moments of feeling like it does not want to accelerate or maintain speed, during cold weather constantly gets put into limp mode(spelling?), which is where three separate codes pop off on the dash, and then cuts my power to the engine. This can has proven to be kind of dangerous when doing it on the highway as I cannot reach speeds over 25mph. It is been a nice town car, but with where I live and my particular career it is been slightly unreliable and worries me.

Chevy Malibu ls 2011 review.
The 2011 Chevy Malibu is very nice looking on the inside and out. My favorite is the inside, it has two toned interior; tan and dark brown. It is very cost efficient in gas. Very smooth drive. One of the tire pressure sensor is out and therefore none of them work. That can cost a lot of money. The trunk is very large and can fit a lot of sports equipment. I personally have the windows tinted which makes the car look more luxurious.

2011 Chevy Malibu - great car.
Car is great. It has good gas mileage, roomy interior, great driving. At 80k miles, the only thing to have been replaced is the fuel pump. The only issue the car consistently experiences is a stalling like behavior when it is hot outside. It feels like the car struggles to shift into the next gear for a second and then is finally able to. This was my first car at 17 and I could not have asked for something better.

Very dependable car with lots of juice still left in it!
Through the time I have had my vehicle, I have only run into a couple of problems. Some of those problems include, a small bit of jerking while accelerating, left tie rod had to be replaced, tires replaced, brakes replaced, as well as some wheel slipping while turning.

My Malibu,. The family car.
My Malibu is a good family car. It fits 3 in the back comfortably. It drives really good, when you step on the gas it goes fast. The only problem I have is that the back seat is ripping in the seams. I also need back tires. I have had the brakes done.

Many technical issues. Prepare for many breakdowns and recall repairs.
This vehicle has several electrical issues that even through recall are never fixed for long, you will have to take it back in consistently.

Very reliable for college students!
It is very sleek interior with leather seats that look great after long use. It rides smoothly except at speeds above 60 it shakes, and has a quiet engine. It has a slow acceleration for my preference. It comes with Bose speakers that sound really nice and a radio system that allows you to set buttons for specific radio stations. My least favorite thing about the Malibu is that it is complex to work on. Just changing a headlight requires dismantling the side body and front bumper. All around it is a great car and has been reliable since I have had it.

My 2011 Chevy Malibu review.
Left headlight out- even with new bulb. I believe it to be an electrical issue. I have also noticed it on other Chevrolets, police vehicles in particular. It is always the left headlight. But it is a great car with excellent endurance and great on gas.

If everything is going go this is a great vehicle to have!
One thing after another seems to break but it gets really great gas mileage and has a lot of room for a sedan. I used to drive a 2013 and it seemed smaller than the 2011 that I drive now. Another good thing about my 2011 is that it has the option of flex fuel but I never get to used it since there is very many gas stations that sell the e85.

Issues with 2011 Chevy Malibu.
I love the way my vehicle runs, looks and performs. The only few issues with it that I have had were: several repairs for fuel pump, a few electrical issues in regards to changing the outside light bulbs. You need to either take to the mechanic to replace/change, as an unnecessary expense or take the whole bumper apart to DIY. Some repairs on this vehicle are more costly because you cannot do it yourself as in the past.

Energized chevy that just keeps on going!
My chevy malibu has over 170,000 miles. It has never been a problem, always reliable. I have had minimal repairs on this vehicle. This car does not burn oil even with high mileage. I seem to go thru more headlights than anything else. Very comfortable to ride in, much less interior noise than most midsize vehicles.

My vehicle is a good investment wouldn't call it the best but it's not the worst.
This vehicle has had its ups and downs, but nothing too drastic. Just simple car maintenance. There was one issue that is hard to describe but it's like an electrical issue that causes the radio to act all wonky. It drives very smooth. That is annoying when it has to do with travels or road trips because the charger port stop working as well, and nobody has yet figured out the issue. Another issue is how complicated it is to change the headlight it's not simple like other cars where you can do it yourself, it's about $150 in labor, they have to take off the bumper and everything. I wish I would've known that ahead of time most definitely. The trunk goes deep and has a lot of space. The interior is really nice as well.
accountCircle Tamara D on May 7, 2021
I love this car. It has all the features that I would want in a car.
There are to many electrical issues with this year Malibu. I have never been able to use my headlights, every time I put a bulb in it blows right out. I have had to replace upper and lower tie rod ends, the front and rear motor mounts had to be replaced, my radio has a short in it and it is very difficult to find rims to fit on this year Malibu.

Excellent family vehicle!
Good running vehicle. Love the comfort of the interior. The center console does not fit 2 drinks even though there are 2 holders. Backseat is spacious. Very few problems in the seven years I have owned it. Repairs are reasonable in cost. Trunk fits a double stroller perfectly. Very good gas mileage.

Sporty & stylish. Gas friendly. Roomy with enough room for 2 adults & 3.
We bought this car used from a one owner little lady last November. It was in new condition. Very comfortable driving & riding. Plus a very nice sporty vehicle. Interior is very nice and rich. Roomy back seat. Trunk is large and very roomy. It has good gas mileage and picks up speed fast. I feel very safe driving this car.

Consistently a helpful pain.
With Chevy cars after you fix one minor problem there’s 4 more popping up right behind it constantly. They're mainly electric so if you are considering getting it do not waste your time. Great on gas by far but can be the maintenance can be a pain. Choose wisely.

Good family car, plenty of room for the family and cargo.
It is a good, reliable car and great for family trips. We originally bought it as our weekend family car to drive 120 miles each way to our cottage. It holds 4 comfortably and has a ton of trunk space. The gas mileage is reasonable, and the few repairs we've had have been normal and reasonably priced. It is good in the snow with all-season tires, and has lasted a long time.

A comfortable ride in my Malibu.
It is comfortable and has required little maintenance beyond normal ones. It has served us well, but has not been one of my favorite cars to drive. There is plenty of room in the back seat which was a requirement since I often am the driver for others in my church group. The air conditioning and heating are quick to function, making it more comfortable to drive.

Pretty much, my vehicle is good for a starter car for a new teenage driver.
It has terrible mileage and the motor goes out fast even when it is brand new, and maintained correctly. The mufflers are factory edition and they go bad terribly. I also do not like how low the car sits it is truly uncomfortable to drive and there are not many great features on it at all.

This car is spacious enough for most adults but maintains a smaller profile.
The car has been reliable as far as consistent running, but has begun to break in other areas. The suspension, control arms, and wheel hubs all had to be replaced. The brake lines corroded very quickly, as well as rusting around the wheel wells. The ecm has also had some problems with idling and acceleration. Other than these problems the car has run very efficiently and is a great city car.

Back seats fold down making the trunk bigger.
I bought my car 1 and a half years ago. I have had bad experiences with the engine. Timing chains have went out and into the oil pan. It has costed me lots of money. The check engine light is always on even after being put in the garage. As far as comfort goes it is comfortable for long car rides. I like the feature of the back seats folding down to make more room in the trunk. Mileage is pretty good even with all the problems.

Comfortable for a 5'2 female, seats are really adjustable! Both front seats are heated. Has a 3.6 engine in it so it is pretty fast for the kind of car it is. I have owned it for 6 years and it is the best car I have ever had, going on 100k miles I have not had to put any major work into it.

Very good starter vehicle for any first time car buyers. Cheap maintenance.
I own a 2011 Chevy Malibu and I just recently got this vehicle about a couple of weeks ago and as of right now I have no problems with the vehicle. It runs very smooth and has very good gas mileage. The only complaint, which really has nothing to do with the performance of the car, is the tail lights. The seem very retro and outdated even for the year of the car in my opinion.

My seasoned but reliable Chevrolet Malibu.
My 2011 Chevy Malibu has proved to be a fairly reliable car. It is run well for it is age, and the gas mileage is good. With how old it is, it is not very flashy or as up to date as some cars, but as long as it has an auxiliary cord, I am good; however, there are some strange details about the inner design, how to get to the headlights and the brakes, that strike me as a little inconvenient and odd.

The air conditioner is really good, until now it has not given me any problem and it cools real quick. The design of the car is great, is not boring because it has some really nice shape and the color is always vibrant. Is not expensive to fill the tank of the car. I spend about $35 to $40 dollars a week to have a full tank of gas. Still, I think that the only issue is that if you plan to drive a Malibu almost all day, your gas will go faster. I think this kind of car is really just to use it in important trips. The motor has a lasting efficiency, until now I have never had any problem with it and it really just keeps working great.

I love my seat warmers especially in the winter. They heat up so fast.
I love my Chevrolet Malibu. It has many features that I love and use on a regular basis, such as seat warmers, USB port, leather electric seats and sunroof. It is very reliable and I haven't had any issues with it breaking down or really needing any attention except for oil changes and battery changes. The seats are very comfortable and everything is adjustable.

Great acceleration! Low idol though
Low idol, great car overall. Runs well and provides a smooth ride. The inside is big and the interior is nice. I enjoy the setup of this car. The cup holders are convenient in the door. Back seat is very large. Slightly a wide car. Not much of an issue and is compact other than width.

2011 Chevy Malibu pros and cons.
2011 Chevy Malibu is a good family car. It has a unique interior that makes it look better the an older year. This car has lots of space in the backseat as well as the trunk. The driver seat is nice and have the automatic adjustments. The center council is wide so you have plenty of space to put your phone and other stuff.

First car: Chevy Malibu 2011.
The car is comfortable and cute. The gas mileage is alright not too bad not great. The Bluetooth connection the hands off feature does not work for my car. I have tried many times. The pedals are a little stiff but that is my personal preference. Nice car overall.

Comfortable and low priced.
I have had no problems out of this vehicle with the exception of worn brake pads. The interior of the car provides a smooth and quiet ride. When sitting still, it is almost hard to tell that the engine is running. My car has some excellent features such as remote vehicle start, Bluetooth capability, and GPS tracking.

Full of space, reliable, always gets you were you need to go.
The car is great. Always gets me were I need to be. It is reliable and always ready to go. The car is very full of space. Always provides enough room.

The most important thing others should know is my car is reliable overall.
I like the car storage space and Bluetooth capability of the car. My dislikes are the car color which is gold and the acceleration. The engine capacity should be greater.

A Chevrolet Malibu is an excellent choice for beginners and small families.
I like how small and compact it is. It is a very safe first car for a new inexperienced driver. It seats five people comfortably. The seats are very comfortable, I would say that the headrest on the passenger seat is a bit awkward feeling. All seats have sufficient leg room, even when the car is completely filled. There is a lot of trunk space. It is good for storage and it provides good security for if you get rear ended. The mileage is good to average. I usually fill up my tank every week and a half, I have a 15 minute commute to and from work Monday-Friday and on occasion Saturday and Sunday. It costs me $35 to fill my tank. It is cost effective and practical if you do not have a large family or the need to haul around large objects. I bought the car used. About one year after I bought it I noticed a gas smell whenever I got onto the highway. I ended up having to replace the entire engine. I believe it was due to the previous owner racking up a lot of miles. Since then it has stalled twice. All it needed was a clean throttle. It has not given me any trouble since.

Great gas mileage. Rides good.
Just prefer a truck than a car. But the gas mileage is great. Wish it was a little big. Wish it had Bluetooth to listen to music. The aux plug does not work anymore. Right down the road. Cooking cleaning. Performance reliability problems tight minimum

Sedan with comfy seats, slick body on the outside and tailored to how you want.
My 2011 Malibu was the perfect choice for me. I love the space from front to back and even the trunk space is very spacious. I have AUX cord and CD player access, which is ok but I do wish it had Bluetooth. Having to fuss with the cord while driving is no fun. It does have compartments on the dashboard which I love and it does have a middle console you can adjust back and FWD to fit your body. Only downfall the cup carriers in the front are too small and will only fit one unless you have 2 small cups or bottles. I really love this car otherwise from the long slick body of the outside of the car, to the spacious inside of the car. Good interior seats are comfortable and the wheel is perfect. Overall I would buy it again and again.

Cheap to run, fun to drive, and sporty.
It can be towed but too small and does not have enough room but gets good gas mileage, fun to drive and is sporty.

The car drives really smooth on long trips. Down the highway.
I like the mileage that get on the car. I dislike the white interior. It always gets a lot of stains on it with children as passengers.

Silver with decals and also very nice driving.
It has less miles because I barely drive it myself. Everything is repaired and it runs smooth. The vehicle has very good miles to the gallon idk how much exactly. Very good speakers, very well handling of roads and very nice all year round tires. If you like Malibu's I suggest buying one yourself.

The car drives very smooth and handles well in rain and snow/ice.
I like the smooth ride, headroom and legroom. I also like the hands free calling and satellite radio. I do not like how expensive the tires are for this vehicle and how low the front spoiler is to the ground, especially in the winter

The vehicle has some flaws but overall a great little family car.
It does not pick up speed very fast, it is a pretty good starter car, it is not very roomy everything’s kind of compact but there’s cup holders on the driver and passenger doors which come in handy! A fairly reliable vehicle the seats are really hard to keep clean and it has a fairly spacious trunk.

2011 was the worst year for the Malibu. Do not buy one!!!! They all have issue. I say this because I know 4 others who also had 2011 Malibu's and they had a list of issues also.
It has had problems since day 1. Transmission doesn't move through gears well, will stick and then jump as speed increase when entering the highway. Electrical issues, all interior "mood" lighting on the drivers side doesn't work. All of these have been into the dealership and other garages to be looked at and no one can figure out what is wrong.

Reliable basic car with some extras.
Have never had any major problems with the car. It currently has over 120,000 miles on it. And it is still running strong. Has a small amount of rust near the rear wheel wells. It has all the basics, cruise control, air conditioning and CD player. It also has adjustable seats.
accountCircle Ian F on January 11, 2021
It has been very reliable for me.
It is a very reliable car. It has 200k miles on it and I have not had any problems besides normal wear and tear. Gets good gas mileage. Is roomy and comfortable. I wish it had more power than what it does but it is a 2011 and cars have increased power and maintained good mpg.

2011 Chevy Malibu isn't the best year of this particular car.
Headlights go out every year. The car is electronic so when one thing is wrong many things go wrong. Gas mileage isn't bad. I like the sunroof feature. I'm not sure I'd ever purchase another Malibu. It looks nice but too many issues. It could be the year of the car, but I don't think I'd risk it again.
