Safe convenient flex fuel economy gas optional regular gas.

I like my car takes flex fuel gas so I save money on gas as well can also use regular gas, it drives great and only had 1 owner before I leased it, very reliable have not had many problems, can fit up to 5 people, seats can be adjusted to move forward and back steering wheel tilts and moves inward and outward, has latch straps has a 1 disc CD player, speakers sound good for stock radio, 4 door sedan, has front, back and side airbags, front wheel drive, anti lock brakes, has 34,000 miles, oil change and brakes have been changed and kept up with, new tires have been put on and balanced, keyless entry and alarm, remote start has been installed. A couple of months after remote start was installed it did have an electrical problem to the main brain but this has been fixed. Car drives smooth mostly highway miles, about 15 to 16 mpg. Exterior white, interior tan with silver trim, fabric seats, kid friendly, descent size trunk, driver seat also has lumbar adjustment, very comfortable, electric windows, electric mirrors, child safety lock, key for ignition and can use key for entry and to lock and unlock doors. Am/FM radio, clock on radio, speaker can be adjusted to get lower when slowing down and louder when driving, electric info for miles has options for different languages, cruise control, automatic can also be used to manually shift gears, does not drive well in any type of rain is not good to drive in the snow or sleet or hail, has traction control but I personally do not feel that it drives well in bad weather. Small car convenient to get to places I would not travel far.

The Chevy Malibu. A very safe and reliable car!

My Chevy Malibu has been a very reliable car. I bought it new in 2012 and it has not given me any problems. The seats are very comfortable and the interior is very roomy. Ac and heat work very well. When changing the tires be sure to get the tech to adjust your settings back to read the correct positioning of the tires. If not your air readings will be off. The only complaint I have about the Chevy Malibu is my back window got stuck when rolling it down. It has automatic windows so we had to take the inside facing off the door to pull it back up into place. I have not tried to roll it back down just in case it gets stuck again. I feel safe driving the car and would recommend the Chevy Malibu as a great reliable vehicle to anyone looking for a small and safe family car.

I really love the color of my vehicle which is a goldish color with added chrome features including the rims that came with the vehicle. I also love the comfort and size of my vehicle.

I love my vehicle from the day that I received it from the price to the color to the features ( sunroof, leather seats, heated seats, chrome features). The issues that I am currently having is the leather seats are now torn in some areas just from normal wear and tear. The seats from a distance look great but there are a few tears in the driver seat seeing as though that is the most used seat. I did have the heat elements in the seats stop working at one point but because I paid for an extended warranty, they were covered to be fixed. Other than that I have not had any complaints about my vehicle. But keep in mind that I have had my vehicle for 5 years and have added around 100,000 miles to the vehicle.

Review of 2012 Chevy Malibu - most interior features.

This is a very nice car, lots of great features. I really enjoy how user friendly it is, in my opinion. Everything is very nice, the radio, the controls, the seats especially, the driver's side is power seating with adjustable lumbar support. It is very comfortable and lots of legroom. The trunk has a good amount of space too, though I find it to be a little bit low. The steering is very sensitive, it drives very smooth, transmission is smooth. It doesn't have as much get up and go as I'd like though. All of the dash controls are user friendly and everything is quality. I find it to be a very reliable vehicle, good for a small family. Overall it is a great car that performs and runs like a dream.

The speaker system, rides smooth, and has lots of space in the car.

Before owning this vehicle I drove a two door car, so the switch to a four door vehicle made it feel very spacious. There is plenty of legroom in both the front and back seats. Which is really nice for anyone who is always driving their friends or family around. It also, gets really great gas mileage compared to everyone else I know that owns a car. If you love to listen to music, this is really good for that. The speaker system sounds really good with pretty much any genre. I have had no problems with the car yet, it's a very smooth driving car, and overall would recommend checking it out if you are looking to buy a new car.

Highlights of the Chevrolet Malibu.

I haven't encountered any mechanical problems or issues with my 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. My Chevy Malibu is a good driving car. The Chevy Malibu gets great gas mileage. I have had no issues with the car at all. Other than regular maintenance such as oil changes, keeping all other fluids at normal levels. I have the same set of tires that came on the vehicle when purchased. I have changed wiper blades one time. It really is a nice car and performs as expected. Just keep up regular maintenance and there should not be any problems with the vehicle. I would recommend the Chevy Malibu to anyone that needs a nice dependable vehicle.

I've only had my Malibu for 6 months but it's been reliable thus far.

I have a 2012 Silver Chevy Malibu Sedan. It's reliable so far, I've had it for 6 months. It's a 4 cylinder but it doesn't seem to save on gas like I thought it would. I've always had 6 cylinder vehicles previously. It's comfortable enough but does not have quite the same luxuries as higher classes of cars. The main problem with this car is that it surges on its own, and I've read that lots of other Malibu owners have this same transmission problem. Also, the brakes were replaced by the dealership when I bought it but they seem to already need to be replaced again so something is obviously wrong there as well.

My 2012 Chevy Malibu has had some issues, but is basically very reliable.

When I first purchased this vehicle, I had some electrical problems initially. It stopped on me 3 different times. I had to have it towed each time, I had to take it in as stated 3 different times before problem was resolved. I had gone several years with no problems after that but my service tire monitor is causing a problem and cannot be fixed. Also, the warning light stays on. I have taken it in and it is still not resolved. The car is running fine, runs smooths. No other issues otherwise. It's just an irritant to me to not be able to determine why the warning light will not go off.

The Malibu is very sleek and comfortable.

I am a bigger guy at 6' 400 pounds and one of the issues I have had is that the back of the seats are held in place by Christmas tree clips that do not hold up to a lot of weight on them. Another inconvenience for this vehicles is the I ability to easily change out headlights. If changing both sides out you'll need to remove the entire front panel of the vehicle to access the sockets which requires 1 7mm and 1 10mm bit as the screws are different sizes. Aside from that the vehicle is very comfortable, handles well with good upkeep, and is very roomy both in trunk space and cab space.

- Richard L

My Malibu is a beach on wheels.

I love the rear backup camera, simple Bluetooth technology, and the size of the interior. The roominess of the trunk can hold larger loads. Most of my mechanical problems have been attended to because of the computer system and the engine (which was covered through the powertrain warranty) communication. I was appreciative of the smart system and communicating the problem quickly instead of me trying to figure it out like before with my other cars. The only con I had was the spare tire does not come standard, a repair kit is provided in the place of an additional tire and jack.

Reliable but not adequate for car seat.

My 2012 Chevrolet Malibu was not the vehicle I was intending on purchasing. I was looking for a mid size SUV with low miles. However the dealership didn't have what I was after. Anyway after driving several vehicles I decided I felt the most comfortable in the Malibu. It has been a good car no major issues. The one complaint I have is there is not adequate room for my daughters car seat, especially when my husband is in the car too. He is 6ft 2in so he has to have the seat fully back to be comfortable. He does not like the Malibu he states it is like a tin can.

- Ariel W

The heated seats and remote start have me spoiled!

I purchased my car with 60, 000 miles on it almost two years ago. I had no major issues for the first but the last couple months have been rough. It just hit 108, 000 miles and we have to replace the drive axle, water pump, head gasket and now it will not stop leaking antifreeze. We cannot find where it is leaking from and neither can three different seasoned mechanics. It is not overheating or anything, but once you turn it off and the engine starts depressurizing, it pours out from under the car. I loved my car until this started happening.

- Terry W

Lovely little 4 cylinder.

There's not quite enough room between the seat and steering wheel. I am 5'5' @125lbs. And when I get in to sit/drive, I have to pay attention or I'll bang my leg (just above my knee) on steering wheel. So it is a really tight fit getting in. And the plastic pcs curving around the top of dash, stick out on edges loosely. When I went to get car washed the rag caught the piece and snapped it in half. Other than that, I love it. Nice fuel economy, very smooth ride, plenty of room (after you get in) aside from the steering wheel being too low.

- Colleen P

My sweet bu( 2012 Chevy Malibu).

Poor electrical system and front lights. On the steering wheel, when changing stations/volume, the response is complete opposite. The rear window no longer heats allowing windows to fog/freeze. As for the headlights, a huge headache, when the lights have gone out, it is super annoying to change out the light bulb. You have to completely remove the front bumper, and the numerous amount of bolts to get to the lights. Other than that the car has been good. Keeping the oil changes, and tune ups up to date have allowed the car to drive well.

- Arturo D

This car is very easy to maneuver and it is very reliable and it is a gas saver.

It is a gas saver. It is easy to maneuver. It has a hand free cell phone talk and AUX cord accessibility. I have not experienced any problems since I have owned it. It is pretty comfortable and it will make a good car for young new teen driver. I do love this car and it accessories, CD and radio. This car is also good on the highway with gas mileage and it is pretty quiet. It has many convenient spaces for cups. It also have several compartments to keep important papers and items that you need to keep in reach is fingertips away.

- Davidson O

Chevy Malibu are very nice family cars.

I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu. Some of the features it has. It has heat/ac, radio and CD player, Bluetooth, traction control and it has 141,000 miles on it. Right now I am having motor issues and it likes to stall out on me sometimes. There's a computer board with two clips under the hood. I would need to unclip the clips for 10 seconds then hook it back up. After that is done I would need to turn on the car and hope it will turn back on. But overall it's a very nice family car. I love how it gets 33 highway. I save so much on gas.

Changing Headlights to expensive

My experience with my Chevy Malibu have been great for the most part. It is a reliable car and rides nicely. It is a little low for where I live as we have a lot of snow. My biggest complaint is that to change a light bulb in the front, costs close to 100.00 or more due to how long it takes to change one. It takes over an hour if somebody doesn't know how to do it. you have to take it to a dealership to have it done. I have had one light out but had to change all 4 because it wouldn't be worth it cost wise to just change one.

- Monique C

My vehicle is mediocre at best.

I believe that my car is a fairly reliable car but it has had several problems since I bought it in spring of 2016. I paid $10000 for the car but since purchasing have had to put $3000 in for a new motor, $500 in for another part, $150 in for my windshield wiper motor, and it has needs to new rotors which I am in need to buying soon. I hope to buy a new car soon that is more reliable than my current car has been and one that drives better. But for what I do for a living and what I use my car for, it is a fine car for now.

- Page P

A good choice. I especially love the trim and leather seats on the inside.

I like the look and feel of the inside. It feels like a luxury vehicle. I have installed a moonroof and added tinted windows as well. I do wish I had waited until 2013 to purchase this vehicle model because Chevy added a lot of nice up to date features that the 2012 is missing. Like a large nav screen. The feel of the vehicle while driving is smooth and it is a quiet vehicle. I have had it since November 2011 and I haven't had any issues with it except the many recalls. The recalls are a pain to bring in and have fixed.

- Cindy O

My Malibu is a reliable ride.

My vehicle is getting a little older. It is very reliable, but due to my accidents, it does have a fender bender on the driver side and a dent on the right rear door. The ac is worn, but back it the earlier days, it blew like an arctic wind. The shocks need some work as well. Due to the collision damage, the frame sometimes rub against the tire every time I come across a bump in the road. It can be avoided if you decrease on the acceleration. All in all, my Chevy Malibu is okay to get where I need to go.

- Jonathan C

The Best Car Ever would be my summary. The fact that it has all kinds of warning light on it is the best.

Well the Cadillac converter went out on the car right after I got it. However it was fixed in about a week. The car has Onstar on it.I love the fact that on the dash it tells all kinds of things like: the oil life, tire pressure, the temp, and etc. The driver seat also has all kinds of controls even a blow up thing it the back part of it to help support your back more. It also has a bluetooth system that I can hook up to my phone. And it also has many different channels that I can program for the radio.

- Kay G

The most important thing people should know about my car is that it is excellent on fuel for being a 6 cylinder and it has everything in it a person could want for comfort.

My car has everything in it that I have ever wanted with a car. I have all leather seats that are heated. I have electric windows, doors, and I have cruise control as well. My car is very roomy and comfy and it has a sunroof in it with tinted windows. It drives really nice and has excellent safety features that comes with it too. I love the stereo and speakers that are in it. I have Bose speakers throughout the car and it sounds great. It's an automatic and drives very smooth. I love my car.

- Diana E

Obtain knowledgeable mechanics.

I really am satisfied with my car's reliability and performance. However, I experienced some headlight issues on the right side, due to moisture from rain, not from driving through puddles of water. This conclusion was the result of having to replace the bulb multiple times, in order for the examination to take place, the front bumper has to be dropped for examination to occur. The multiple attempts incurred additional costs because of inadequate and proper diagnosis.

- Ro L

The vehicle is gold and it has a sun and moon roof.

My car is gold and has a sunroof and a moonroof. The sun roof really helps on hotter days and my kids have a fun time messing around with. The gas mileage in this car is pretty good and I have to drive 1 to work and back so that is pretty nice. The seats are really comfortable and I haven't heard one person complain about them. My only con is that the moon roof cover are very unreliable and are hard to get to stay in place but other then that the car is pretty great.

- Alexandria I

My Chevrolet Malibu gets excellent gas mileage and is a smooth ride.

My car is the perfect size. It is easy to handle. My grands love that three can ride in the back seat safely. There is plenty of legroom. Easy to see over the steering wheel that is adjustable. The trunk is big so there is plenty of storage room for traveling. My car gets very good gas mileage. Stereo in the car is very high quality. There is room in the stereo for three of us to set our favorite channels. The car has a very smooth ride while traveling.

- Anita C

Large inside comfortable interior great for traveling.

I have had my Malibu for 4 years it has been very good to me I use it for work and taking my grandkids to school I have never had any real issues with it except recently my transmission went out but it is been a reliable car every since I got it and that has been the only issue with it the interior is still like new and it is very dependable takes me everywhere I need to go. I like Chevrolet I get most of my vehicles from there and so do my children.

- Karla R

The car is smooth riding and easy driving.

I love my 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. It rides so smooth and is easy to drive. It is pretty easy to maintain. As long as you keep the basic maintenance up. I have had a couple of problems with it. The driver side dim headlight had a short in it. You have to take the whole front cap off to fix the lights. The o2 sensor has started acting up about 130, 000 miles and there is to of them and kind of pricey. Apparently that is common with these cars.

- Yvonne B

Malibu a fun ride without being a pony car.

The ac works great as does the heat the gauges are easy to read I have not had any trouble with it I drives and handles very well it gets pretty good gas mileage for a v6 it is comfortable to ride in for long distances it does not have very much rust just a little around the wheel well s al in all it is a very good car I it has over 100, 000 miles on it still drives great all I have I'd got new tires and get the oil changed regularly.

- Tracy H

The service and mileage is wonderful.

I really enjoy buy Malibu. I was looking for a medium sized vehicle that was comfortable for in town and also out of town travel. The Malibu gives me the room I need when going out of town 2 pack the luggage in the very spacious trunk. I find it a very comfortable ride and also a very easy car to drive and to ride. I would recommend the Malibu to anyone looking for a midsize vehicle. Also the dependability in the vehicle is amazing.

Chevy Malibu's are the way to go!

The Malibu was previously owned and I had a new Malibu before this current one. I love the Malibu for it is weight and I feel safe in it. The front end is long but you can get used to it and the end is short which is nice for backing in places. There is plenty of storage space and the back seat is quite comfortable for people with long legs! Any major issues I have had have been through a recall issue which was always fixed.

- Kaye W

Love the a big gas tank & knowing about how far I have until it is empty.

It has okay mpg when driving fwy mostly about 20 mpg. Great gas tank about 15 to 16 gal, last me about a week with an average of 300 miles/wk. However, the front end to low to fit well in compact spots with a curb. The Edge/bottom of the bumper always makes contact (scrape) the curb. Also, when parking in steep driveways my bumper scrapes as I exit the driveway. But overall it is great car that gets me around town.

- Sarah G

The Malibu is a smooth and uncomplicated ride.

The Malibu has not ever given me issues almost at all. In the 5 years I have had it is never broken down or anything and it has a smooth ride all the time. It has Bluetooth capabilities for my car and it has Sirius music capabilities as well. It also might have OnStar because I see the speakers for it but I personally do not have that. It has an a/v plug so you can play your own stuff off your phone for example.

- Kevin M

Most important thing would be taking care of any safety recalls for repairs.

I like the visual appeal of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle is black and very appealing as well. I dislike that replacing a simple headlight light bulb cost between $60-$120 just to change the lightbulb because the car was designed poorly. In order to change the lightbulb you have to remove the entire bumper which takes 45-60 minutes. In a typical car changing a lightbulb takes about 30 seconds.

- O J

It is comfortable, with many great features one would want in a car, but beware common engine issues and recalls.

My Malibu is a comfortable ride and reasonably reliable, but has encountered problems that I have learned are very common for the series. I have had to replace a solenoid and drive shaft position sensor, and one of the tire pressure sensors has stopped working. The solenoid and sensor alone cost me two days of work, and had I not been savvy enough with diagnostics would have cost several hundred dollars.

- Meghan F

Reasonable, Reliable and Quite Affordable.

I bought my Chevrolet Malibu in 2012. it was brand new and straight from the dealer. after doing lot of research I found Malibu gives more for the money and the best offers. its loaded with all the latest technology. it has very beautiful interior added with comfortable ride. I never had any kind of major problems as I keep up with regular and proper servicing by dealer. maintenance is quite reasonable.

- rahath a

Has it all -loaded with all necessary goodies.

Engine in good shape at 79, 000 miles. Interior in good shape. Exterior only has one minor ding. Has 4 cylinder engine - gets 20 + mpg and over 30 on the road with quite adequate power for passing etc. Has internal 120 volts available. Very ergonomically designed. Has both traction control and abs. Has steering wheel controls and leather covered steering wheel. Also has cruise control and sizable trunk.

- Dave B

Chevy Malibu review: Malibu drives well.

Definitely comfortable. The OnStar is a plus for out of town trips. The cons are constant esc light coming on the dashboard but then it goes away. When I take it to Chevy, they don't know what the issue is. I've gone online to see if any other drivers experience the same esc light on dash and some claim that the car will just shut off while driving. I am terrified they may happen while I am driving.

- Megan M

I like the Bluetooth Audio in my car, it makes everything so much easier.

This car is a great choice, especially for those who are just beginning to drive, or even for college students. Anyone can drive it with ease. It is really easy to take care of, and is very good on gas. My car is at 140,000 miles and runs so smoothly! Very reliable, and keeps me safe. I have only had one small fender bender in this car, and it kept me safe, with very little damage. Love this car!

- Brooklyn S

It is a simple sedan that is perfect for a small family of four.

The car is good. It is a comfortable ride and has a great sound system. The seats are cloth so easy to stain and the steering wheel is starting to lose its grip. There is a coolant leak that needs to be taken care of and the lever for the seat to lay back is broke. My wife and I love the four doors and spacious trunk, perfect for long trips. The back seat is comfortable for passengers and babies.

- Jacob S

This Chevy Malibu is a very good running car. I love it!

The only thing that I do not love about my car is how low to the ground it is. Other than that I love it. The first and second levels of air conditioning and heat do not work but it is not a huge problem for me. I do not want to purchase a new air conditioner in the car it would be too expensive. Although, it is not too expensive to get this car worked on. Great quality and brand.

- Laundry P

A Joy Ride: Life is a highway.

Very comfortable. Efficient on gas. Drives very easily. The cruise control and the bluetooth are my favorite two features. The only problems I have had is the wiring affecting the left headlight and the sounds on the left side of the vehicle. Regular oil change, and maintenance of the tires have helped. I now have over 154,000 miles on this six year old car. And I still love it!

- Tammy M

Not totally thrilled about the vehicle.

The car I all around decent but one thing that really bothers me about it is that when a headlight goes out, I have to pay to have the whole front bumper taken off to change it. I do not understand why they would make a car where you can simply change one of the headlights yourself. I also do not like that its front wheel drive making it very easy to get stuck in the snow.

- Kevin P

Satisfied customer of a Chevy Malibu.

This has been the most reliable car I have owned to date. It drives very smoothly with very little to no problems so far. It has everything you need in a compact car and the gas mileage is great as well! Only thing to be cautious of is the oil changes. If the car goes too long without an oil change past the mileage to be changed, then the car starts having engine problems.

- Elizabeth M

I like the weight of the vehicle it's very sturdy and comfortable.

Overall the vehicles is reliable, I have owned 3 Chevys. I was always satisfied. A thing I dislike about my recent Chevy, is that when you have to replace the bulbs it's very expensive. The entire front bumper has to be removed in order to replace the bulbs. So, instead of paying about 30 dollars to replace it costs $250 dollars at the dealer. Absolutely ridiculous!!

- Ivy M

I love my car but the check engine light and the limited view kills me sometimes.

The trim on the corners of the windshield and back window are fairly thick so you that takes quite a bit of getting use to, as well even though I am getting regular maintenance I still have my check engine come up every 8-12 months. Typically it does not cost much to fix but it still ranges between $50-$500, which adds up pretty quickly if you have to pay for labor.

- Benjamin H

Review of 2012 Chevy Malibu.

My car has had very few problems. I have had to replace a tie rod on the front drivers side wheel. I have also had to have the wiring harness replaced. I like the performance of my car for the price I paid for it. I like the Bluetooth function so I can place calls hands free. I also like the room, I have been able to haul building materials and my large size dogs.

- Michelle L

My beautiful Chevy Malibu.

I absolutely love my 2012 Chevy Malibu! I really enjoy the space that the car provides along with durability throughout all the different seasons. The sound system is crisp and clear. The only thing I would change about the car if the fact that I have to click a specific button on the steering wheel to check things like the air in the tires and gas in the car.

- Ashley E

2012 Chevy Malibu, spacious and beautiful!

This vehicle has great mileage on the highways, and gets decent mileage while driving in towns. I love how smoothly it drives, and it just looks beautiful inside and out. This vehicle has a ton of storage space in the trunk, as well as in the front cab. The back seats are spacious, though I wish the placement of the cup holders was easier to access and reach!

- Kira R

Headlight issues but overall good car.

I generally like my car. It is comfortable and reliable. I did get the fully loaded version. That being said I am disappointed that it does not have Bluetooth. The headrest on the seats push forward and that is annoying on my neck. Also I have to change the headlights once a year they seem to go out often and we have to take the whole bumper off to do that.

- Jennifer P

Lacks smoothness on the road. Turning wheel is a little stiff.

I currently do no have an issue with my vehicle, but personally, I do not think it drives as smooth as other cars. I have been in more recent year models of the Chevrolet, Malibu, and experience the same problem. My 2012, Malibu, also has a more tense driving wheel, as to where other models of the same car brand, have a very easy and smooth driving wheel.

- Sarah M

Decent reliable family car.

Reliable car all in all. I am sitting at 140 thousand miles and only issue I have really had is the headlights burn out very quick. No matter how good the bulbs are. Even the best bulbs burn out sometimes in only a few months. Great gas mileage and easy to put kids in car seats. Handles various weather conditions better than other cars I have owned.

- Josh K

Comfortable, reliable, safe vehicle.

I bought my vehicle new and it has been very reliable. I have put 116000 miles on it. I do regular maintenance and have had no problems with it. Very comfortable ride. I have remote start, moonroof, Bluetooth and onstar and all still work. Very high safety rating. This is my third Malibu. I wrecked the first one, it was totaled and no one was hurt.

- Helen J

Excellent Chevy Malibu review.

The headlights are always going out and have to be replaced. . Very expensive to get the headlight replaced but other than that its very reliable with no other problems. Good on gas. Good gas mileage. I also have OnStar programed and Sirius radio but it is an extra ten dollars so I wait on the free 2months every once in a while when they offer it.

- Whitney G

My Chevy Malibu can be driven as a automatic or you can shift it to manual.

My Chevy Malibu gets me to where I need to be comfortably. It's not too big, not too small. I bought the car because I loved the style of the car. It gets ok gas mileage. I've gone on long road trips in my Malibu and I was comfortable the whole way there and back. It has comfortable seating in a nice sound system. Overall I enjoy my Chevy Malibu.

- Heather K

It gets excellent gas mileage. Highway miles are awesome usually get 27 miles to the gallon.

My vehicle runs very nicely and has lots of room. It is a very smooth ride and nice looking car. Only complaint I would have is that a lot of the sensors have messed up and when talking to the shop I took it to this is a common problem with this year of the Malibu. Hoping to upgrade to the newest Malibu soon though. Definitely hooked on them now.

- Tricia K

Comfortable small family sedan with a sporty and fashionable look.

The Chevy 2012 Malibu is a appropriate car for a small family, who wants comfort with style. The 2012 Malibu is a easy car to handle with user friendly digital devices without the distraction. Some issue with the 2012 Malibu has many recalls in the 4 years of ownership, pulls easily to one side with strong winds, and trunk space could be bigger.

- Andrea M

It has been a reliable car thru the years. It has been dependable.

Purchased new came with upgraded tire package. Horrible because they are 18 inch tires and expensive. There are so many recalls on that year, to many to keep track of. The trim was junky attached so it is always falling off. The heat blares whenever it decides that it wants to all on Its own. With the 18 inch tires the fuel mileage is horrible.

- William P

My vehicle headlights are kind of expensive.

I love my car I haven't had any major problems out it. My car is white it gets great gas mileage. The only problem is when my headlights goes out it is hard to find someone to replace them. My kids also love my car because my past history with purchasing car has been really bad. I keep my oil changed in it and everything well maintained.

- Marquette D

Love my 2912 Chevrolet black Malibu.

Reliable, it has over 104, 000 miles on it. This is my second Malibu and the first one had over 145, 000 miles on it when I got this one. I will be going to a Chevrolet Equinox for my next vehicle. My partner prefers Ford vehicles but I have had several good Chevrolet cars over the years. Good and dependable. And I like my dealership.

- Deb C

Very dependable and has been low maintenance.

It is a very reliable car. Only thing I do not like about it is that you have to take the front bumper off to change headlight bulbs. I have made it to work and home again safely for over three years, even on snow covered roads. It held up well when I hit a deer on my way to work last winter. It is one of the best vehicles I have had.

- Beverly W

Overall I have been satisfied with my Malibu did not expect anything outstanding.

Only problem has been front wheel bearings. It is a 4 cylinder, so performance is not anything great. Reliability has been great with no issues. Comfort is ok, but could use more foam in the seat section. Has basic features such as engine, transmission, and body monitors but could have more engine gages instead of warning lights.

- Larry P

Overall this vehicle is reliable. It drives smooth, haven't had any problems yet.

The only problem I have with this vehicle is the Bluetooth. When the car stops (at a light, stop sign, etc. ) The car shuts off completely. If connected to Bluetooth, the radio will shut off and start up again but unconnected to Bluetooth. Besides this, there are no problems at all. Very comfortable and reliable, good on gas as well.

- Breanna O

Chevy Malibu - efficient, cozy, and reliable.

Seems to have high maintenance costs after 75k miles. Runs great, gas efficient. Tires are relatively inexpensive for the car, unless you get winter tires. Oil life is longer since it is synthetic. Runs well in the winter, have had no problems with it not starting, and it has remote start which is nice to keep the car warmed up.

- Josh W

A unique feature available is 7-inch touch-screen display.

High performance, very reliable comfort seat adjustments comfortable seats, excellent on mileage, three new powertrain choices, a fresh appearance compared to the previous generation, the new Malibu is slightly shorter but has a broader stance as it is nearly 3 inches wider and selection of new safety and entertainment features.

- Aaron M

Long lasting car with surface level issues.

It has lasted a long time for us without hardly any basic problems (such as engine or brake problems. However, the electrical and wiring aspects of the car have had multiple issues that have never been completely fixed so if you want reliability from the wiring and electrical aspect of your car, I would choose a different one.

- Alyssa A

Great mid-size car with room for kids and great gas mileage.

Vehicle drives well and gets great gas mileage. We have kids, and it's roomy enough for our youngest kids to ride without fighting over space. There was an issue with the car dying and not starting but it was repaired by the dealership. I'm not sure if it was something that affected all 2012 Malibus or just certain models.

- Andrea K

I love the smooth ride of the Malibu.

The Malibu is a pretty good car. The traction on it could be better it does not quite grip the road in bad weather conditions. I also like the newer designs on the 2017-2018 modules and the technology they are adding in it. . The Malibu is a pretty reliable car and when it goes down the cost on the parts are pretty reliable.

- Melanie P

Great review for a Chevy Malibu. Great first car.

Great ride. Hate that headlights need to be replaced often. And also to replace headlights need to take off front bumper. Reliable. Holds up well on the hills. Roomy trunk space. Comfortably fits 5 adults. Love XM radio. Wish it had built in GPS. Can be expensive to maintain since it needs synthetic oil. Great compact car.

- Cathy C

Great car, very reliable, good gas mileage.

I love everything about this car. I drive it every day and I use it for work. Great car. Very reliable. Good with gas mileage and this is the first car I have had that didn't get stuck in the snow in the winter. A lot of people ask me what I think about the car and I always tell them it is great and I highly recommend it.

- Kate S

Silver Malibu good mpg and overall reliable vehicle.

Very reliable and love the driving feel. It drives very smoothly and never has many troubles. I love how efficient it is and how many mpg I can get. I range in the 22-25 range and I wouldn't trade this vehicle for the world! I recommend a Chevrolet Malibu to anyone needing a new or used car. New Malibu’s look very nice.

- Blake C

The automatic start is my favorite thing on my car.

I haven't had any major issues so far. We did have to replace 2 sensors recently. Other than that it is been a great car. I love that it gets great gas mileage. Plenty of room for a family of 4. It is got good pick up and go. I also really like to position of the controls to the steering wheel. Nothing is out of reach.

- Erica M

Great Chevy Malibu my best buddy.

My car has been very reliable and comfortable. It has no maintenance issue and drives very smoothly. I love my car and it is an asset for our family and friends. My family take a annual vacation and we mostly drive to our destination. We also take short vacations and I am very happy with the performance of my car.

- Allan J

Very comfortable family car and great on gas.

I've had this car for 6 plus years and I love it. I've had no issues at all with it. Had to do basic auto work like a tune up but it's a good car and comfy and roomy. Great on gas and a smooth ride. Have had some services flashing but it goes away when I turn the car on and off. So might have some computer issues.

- Sasha B

It is a great stylish and roomy economy car.

I like the Chevy Malibu because it has just the right amount of room for me. It is a 4 cylinder engine and gets great gas mileage. It also has a feature to give the engine more power. I love the color is pewter it comes in. It also comes with stylish hubcaps. I have had no problems at all with this car. I love it.

- John W

Roomy for four, but unsure of longevity.

It is large enough to accommodate my family of four and not feel to big. That being said, only having the vehicle for just a little over a year with mostly city miles, the alternator seems to have problems and the vehicle will no longer remote start. We have yet to take it to a mechanic due to financial concerns.

- Johnnie H

Malibu. It's a great car, great value.

It is very reliable. I have not had any issues. I get pretty good gas mileage. It drives pretty smooth. The trunk surprisingly has a lot of space. For a smaller car it is pretty roomy. My husband is 6'3" and has no complaints. I would definitely buy another Malibu based on my experience with this car. I love it.

- Kelly K

Chevrolet are very nice cars to own.

My car is very nice. It drives very smooth does not use very much gas. And when I travel I have no problems because it wears me of any disturbance with my car. I like the color and features of my car. I love it has on star and a build in tracker in the car. The speakers are loud enough with right touch of bass.

- Katrina H

I would never buy another Chevrolet because I have read online forums.

I have had problems with the driver headlight. I have had to change o2 sensors in my vehicle and now my vehicle has other sensor errors. It has only left me on side of the road once but it ended up cranking and making it home. It idles rough and lagging to start now. When one problem is fixed there is another.

- Yvonne N

Beautiful 2012 Automatic Chevrolet Malibu

My car is a automatic Chevrolet Malibu made in 2012. It's a beautiful silver car with reliable great tread tires. She's been extremely reliable over the years shes had a few problems that all have been fixed. A few months ago we got a new transmission and we plan on getting new brakes and wheelbarrows soon.

- Steven S

It is a lovely vehicle to drive and to own and to show off to all your friends.

I love my vehicle because everything is so simple and nice. I also really like black and my cars color inside and out is black. It is the perfect sized vehicle for me, the seats are very comfy and there’s a lot of room and extra room to make. There’s also a lot of trunk space I barely use up half of it.

- Lauren S

Reliable and really spacious throughout.

Good on gas, spacious backseat and front, a few recalls but nothing major, great for long distance trips, lots of trunk room, starts good in below temperatures, handles well in the snow, has 2 power outlets in the back, lots of storage compartments throughout the front, highly recommend this year and model.

- Monica P

Reliable with some minor issues, 185,000 miles and counting!

Overall reliable. Some minor things here and there. The windshield wipers quit, easy fix. Fan blower motor is loose but works most of time. Nothing major wrong with it. 185000 miles and still running fine. My model is a base model, so no Bluetooth from factory but gets good gas mileage for a mid size sedan.

- James B

It is easy to understand all functions of the vehicle.

Not many problems, none actually at all besides regular maintenance, such as headlights, wipers, oil changes. Only thing for me is I love SUV's I don't find the Malibu seats too comfortable. I have a bad spine and the seat settings do not help at all. Other than that it drives great, accelerates nicely.

- Sarah G

2012 Chevy Malibu- goodish car.

I like my Malibu even though it has given me expensive problems (braked & a new motor). I like the body style and it handles well in the snow. There is enough space for 4 people and the truck has a decent amount of room as well. The Bluetooth option is one of my favorites and I love having hands free!

- Megan H

My vehicle is affordable, comfortable, and reliable.

So far I really have not had any problems with my vehicle. I wish that it more features such as automatic start or backup sensors. It has a good amount of space and is comfortable. It has been reliable, and I have not had many maintenance issues. It has over 100, 000 miles on it and is still running well.

- Emily R

Smooth and comfortable ride.

This a great vehicle to have. It drives very smooth and is very comfortable. It is very reliable. The only issue I am experiencing right now is a noise in the rear suspension. I have had the shocks changed, but it is still noisy. Other than that, it is a really great vehicle. There's lots of trunk space.

- Lisa D

My reliable vehicle I can count on all year long.

I haven't had any problems or repairs. I have no reason to change anything. I like the fact it gets great mileage per gallon. It is been very reliable over the six years I have had it. Enough room for four to five people to travel in comfort. Smooth ride, great Audio system, and just all around reliable.

- Sandra W

2012 Malibu provides a reliable, comfortable ride.

My 2012 Malibu has been a fairly reliable car. There has not been any major thing wrong with it mechanical or otherwise. Just routine maintenance is all that has been required. . It is an lt model with just standard features. It rides comfortably and gets reasonable gas mileage in the 25 or so mpg range.

- Stuart E

Smooth & Reliable Ride at a Reasonable Price $

My car is very comfortable, very reliable, requires little maintenance and is very economical on gas for its size. It also offers a roomy trunk. I really like the handling and the suspension is not rigid so it can handle bumps and potholes much better than some of the other midsize sedans on the market.

- Rebecca P

Horrible headlight design

Great vehicle overall. My only problem is the headlights. They do not sit well in the sockets at all. They wiggle loose about every 2 months or so. To fix them we must remove the entire front end of the car. We have replaced the sockets and tried multiple brands of bulbs. This is a major inconvenience.

- Cyndi W

Chevy makes garbage vehicles and the dealer will not stand behind their products.

Uncomfortable ride, stereo does not work properly, horrible air conditioning that does not cool off those in back seat. Last two autos I have owned have been Chevys and they have been garbage. Little annoying things going out, ignition locking up causing my key to be stuck in ignition, burns oil, etc.

- Rob S

It's a good car in performance.

Its red . I'm always getting hit. Has 117 thousand miles . Not big enough for my son car seat. Speaker goes in and out . The remote to the mirrors do not work. The note is high . Has no sunroof. Needs tires. Something in the suspension needs fixed. Needs oil change . Headlights point down to the road.

- Sara D

The best car for the best value.

Very good vehicle good with mileage on gas, comfortable and reliable on the road, I really recommended for a single person or a family use, very good on all the features like the radio all the programs and performance, I really recommend this vehicle and like to give a very good review for this make.

- Maria A

Great, very reliable 2012 Chevy Malibu.

My 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, is great, I love it. I couldn't ask for a more reliable car. It is great for family and kids. The seats are really comfy and it even has heated seats for the winter. That a great plus. It also gets great gas mileage if your looking for a car and drive far distances to work.

- Tiffany S

Great running car, stylish, comfortable, and affordable.

I haven't had problem yet with this car. I keep up the maintenance on it, run great, lots of legroom, the look from the inside of this car is beautiful. Comfortable and stylish, cloth seats, CD player/am/ FM radio. This car has get up and go power. All around affordable, Chevrolet makes great cars.

- Sharon E

Dark blue 2012 Chevy Malibu.

Had the car for almost a year my wiper blades stopped working is the only problem I have. Seats are comfortable, can adjust them to go higher lower as well as back and forth. Rides really smooth. Amazing on gas. Has plenty of room all throughout the car, the trunk is huge great for my kids sports.

- Jessica D

It is a nice car to own. Just be sure all of your family members can fit in it comfortably and that there is not too much wind noise.

I like the size of the car. It ran great when it was new. Now a few things have gone wrong with it. The back door will not open and it is not very windproof. It makes a lot of noise when you are driving. The roof on the inside is very low. Every time my son gets in the car he hits his head.

- Jan Z

It was my 1st car and thus being the reason why I went with a Malibu once again.

I enjoy my car for the dependability. don't enjoy the cushion in front driver seat as it is pretty easily worn in. Appreciate the computer warnings and such. Appreciate body shape. Speakers are certainly great for stock and I've never blown any of them, and I've had plenty of Chevy's in my house.

- Rachel M

Cruise control, oil change every 5000 miles.

Drives very well and love the safety features. Good on gas and driving conditions. Overall it's a good car and not very expensive. Its a 4 cylinder cost less than 40. 00 to fill it. Oil change is every 5000 miles. It is a compact car, but for long distance drives its very comfortable to ride in.

- Christopher C

Good dependable family car. Wood buy again.

I purchased car when it was 3 years old. I had it one year when engine went out at about 55000 miles. The car was still under warranty. Engine was replaced and no further issues. Has to replace headlights and had to remove entire front cowl to replace bulbs. Good car except for those two issues.

- Del R

Great warm and nice. Very nice colors.

My car is great it is really spicy and is grey. The inside is really nice and comfortable and it has wood grain trim. The dashboard lights are very nice and bright and I have had no problems at all. The car goes fast and is really easy to control. The max speed is 140 and the radio sounds great.

- Bobby N

My Malibu, the black beauty.

This is my second Malibu. We take it everywhere and it has over 103, 000 miles on it currently. I plan to drive it 2 more years as my last Malibu had 145, 000 miles on it when I traded it in. It is black and the style is lt. Not the top of the line but second down. It also has a sunroof in it.

- Deb L

The most important thing about my car is It's dependability.

My vehicle is very dependable which I value as I attend college five hours away from my home. I also enjoy the relatively good gas mileage my vehicle has despite It's older age. The only thing I dislike about my vehicle is the fact that it is rather slow in picking up speed from a full stop.

- Meghan G

2012 white with red tint Chevy Malibu.

I love the smooth ride the car gives and the mileage is amazing. I love how it alerts me if anything is not safe or out of the ordinary. Performance is great I haven't had any issues since it was purchased. And the leather interior is a major plus along with the sunroof for luxury purposes.

- Elena T

Smooth Chevy!! Cool ride. My little black beetle.

I haven't had any issues with my vehicle so far, just the normal things like changing the oil things like that. I love that it has heated seats and a sun roof it rides very smooth I use it for traveling a lot, I also love the stereo system that comes with it no need to add anything to it.

- Laura C

Excellence from Chevy. All in all my favorite thing I think is the roominess.

My Malibu is the first new vehicle I bought. Air and heat are great, reclining seats. Auto locks as soon as in gear. Roomy and excellent foot space. Very large trunk, which seats fold down to make it bigger. Have actually put a treadmill in and at Christmas a tree. All in all a great car.

- Karla R

Round head lights great car I would always get a Chevy drives great.

I haven't had any major problems drive smooth. It has weather gauge lets you know when some is wrong. Only problem was stud got stuck in lug nut no other problems great car to have very dependable. I made a great choice in picking this car I think this is the only car people should drive.

- Kee W

All the reasons why I love my Malibu, and would recommend it to anyone.

I love my car, it is very comfortable. I think it comes with an awesome stock stereo. It handles very well. Also it gets great mileage on the highway and around town in stop and go traffic. It has wonderful safety features. I always feel safe driving my children anywhere we need to go.

- Jessica F

Chevrolet Malibu 2012 review.

My car started out really great. It came with OnStar which is great for travel. I travel a lot and need it for business. Now as of late, I keep getting an esc light on my dashboard. When I take it to the dealership, there is nothing apparently wrong. Other than that, I enjoy my Malibu.

- Megan M

Love it except for the hassle of changing a headlight.

This is my second Chevrolet Malibu. I love it. Haven't had any problems with either. I do regular maintenance. The one thing I do not like but have not had to do yet is change a headlight. On the 2012 Malibu you have to remove the front bumper to replace. What a pain in the rear.

- Tanya S

This car is reliable and has a high safety rating!

My Chevy Malibu has been extremely reliable and is fun to drive. I haven't had any major issues in the 6 years I've owned it. I wish there was a little more room in the back for the kids and the driver's seat isn't super comfortable for long trips, but overall it's a great little car.

- Gina C

The comfort of midsize car with the gas mileage if a compact.B.

This vehicle is great. Drives really well. It is comfortable to ride in and great on gas mileage. There is a lot of room in the car and trunk if you have to carry a lot of cargo. It is safe. I have really enjoyed having this car and will keep it until I get ready to trade for an SUV.

- Toni T

Reliable and comfortable vehicle with plenty of features.

Very reliable. Have a lot of highway miles on it, but still runs great. Very comfortable with heated seats and sunroof. Also has Bluetooth. Only complaint is not being able to listen to music through the Bluetooth. Also tends to stall a tad when first pressing on the gas sometimes.

- Angela S

Why I like my car and why I recommend the Malibu.

I really love my car. I have had it for 7 months now I haven't had any problems with it at all. It is very comfortable and roomy, for a mother with 3 kids. I would recommend the Malibu to anyone who wants a dependable car with room and good looks. My family really enjoys this car.

- Cathy A

It is a very simple vehicle.

This car I had for about 3 years it been running really great no problems I keep up the maintenance it very comfortable and featured the car has there very simple it very reliable vehicle performance are amazing I would recommend this vehicle to whoever is trying to purchase one.

- Nina G

That it has a timing chain guide issue that will ruin the engine and gm won't do anything about it.

The car is fine nothing bad but nothing outstanding. Reasonably priced but not cheap very average in almost every respect. It blew the engine with a known issue and it cost me way too much money to have it fixed only 6 months out of warranty and well within the mileage warranty.

- Tim P

I love my Malibu. It's the perfect size.

My only problem with my Malibu is the trunk. I cannot fit most strollers in it. I love my car. It rides well, the seats are comfortable, I like the color. It's not fully loaded, I have the LT, but I have an automatic starter, Bluetooth, and a 3 prong power plug in the back seat.

- Brooke S

Squirrel got in my car my dog went nuts. He ate through my leather gear shift. .

My black Malibu drives like a dream good on gas. She has all the whistles and bells inside as well. I love my heated seats for the drivers side of the car, as well as the passenger side. The only thing is she is a 2012 and I am starting to put money into her. Time for a new one.

- Terri J

The Malibu seems to have the same issues all the time.

My car has never let me down but I have a few problems like o2 sensor needs to be changed. The material the seats are made out of is ridiculous. Everything stains the seats and apparently the Malibu has o2 sensor problems starting about 145k miles According to different forums.

- Yvonne N

2011 Chevy Malibu ls is reliable.

This vehicle has great mileage. Very spacious and has an roomy trunk. This car offers automatic and manual configuration. The engine is a vtec engine. Very affordable. There is the typical maintenance that is required but if you keep up the maintenance your car will be amazing.

- Gabrielle A

That the headlight always goes out.

I like the way it drives and the space. Just headlight always goes out. My rims would always fall off. To change the headlight you have to take the whole front off and that can cost a pretty penny because it takes at least 30- 50 minutes to get it all set back up to how it was.

- Makayla L

The Malibu is attractive & neat. Its both sporty & elegant. Love OnStar feature.

Attractive midsize car. Fuel efficient. It is a 4 cylinder but offers a 6. Love the OnStar feature. Well balanced ride. It offers 169 to 252 horsepower which is plenty. You also feel safe and secure in this car. It uses, drives on regular gas and again it is very comfortable.

- Sherry L

The Chevy Malibu is reliable, comfortable, and dependable.

I love my 2012 Chevy Malibu. I have always only purchased Chevy Malibu products. I am happy with the brand and all the features my car has. There have been a few mechanical failures along the way, but nothing so financially devastating that I needed to trade in my vehicle.

Its has tinted windows. It has black rims.

My vehicle its ok. It has some issues that need to be worked on, but no money to fix is. It drives ok it needs the front end worked and some new tires. It needs tune up oil change and so on. I want a new car. I am trying to trade this one in to get another one. I want a SUV.

- Crystal W

Very reliable and useful gets be where I need to be very quick and picks up fast.

It is reliable and gets me to point A to point B. It is kind of light on the gas so it is easy to speed without realizing it. Also the light sensor is broken so it tells me my tire pressure is low when I know it is not and the check engine light is on and I have no idea why.

- Leanne H

Excellent condition, like new condition, beautiful interior, very reliable.

Low mileage, good condition, very reliable transportation, interior excellent condition, very smooth ride, handles like new, exterior looks like new.Very. Good gas mileage, plenty of horsepower smooth automatic transmission, great abs brake system, almost new Michelin tires.

- James C

Crazy headlight issue is a problem.

To change a headlight, the entire front end has to taken off for a $15 light to be changed!! No major mechanical problems. I have enjoyed this car for it is smooth ride, nice interior, extra features. It has been reliable. Gas mileage could always be better, but its average.

- Angie S

It is very safe and dependable.

Runs fine gets great gas mileage also it is very comfortable I enjoy driving it on trips or locally the body is in great shape it also has power windows power seats cruise control leather interior and great paint job on the exterior custom trim also custom wheels and tires.

- Shawn P

Has amazing gas mileage on it.

My car is very reliable and has very seldom problems! I have had it about three years and I have only had to do regular checkups on it. Recently I just had to purchase a used motor and replace the old one. The motor locked and nothing could be done, but replacing the motor.

- Haleigh L

Very good I am in love with this car.

I bought it as a used car it drives really good haven't had any problems with it. It is spacious and has a lot of compartments to store things, it also takes $30 to fill the gas tank and the trucks has a lot of space too. And it's good on gas when traveling long distances.

- Jeanette R

The car rides very smooth.

This is a good car I have not any problems. Except the brakes and front headlights. It rides just fine. The engine sounds good. As long as I keep the oil changed and maintained the car is fine. The feels smooth the car is very comfortable. I am satisfied with my selection.

- Rose W

It's the best vehicle I owned so far.

It is a great reliable car less problems and a very smooth ride I love my Malibu it is the best Chevy has the best vehicles. It is has the best Audio systems in it from the factory it is excellent on gas and does not require too much keep up like most of these other cars.

- Robert D

Malibu is dependable and a pleasure to drive.

The Malibu is very comfortable and drives very well. We bought new and intend to keep it for at least 10 years. Very good gas mileage. Have owned since 2001 and have had no issues whatsoever. Have performed regular maintenance such as oil changes, spark plugs and tires.

- Marsha W

I like how the Malibu handles while driving.

I really like the Malibu. It has all the bells and whistles and drives very well. It has a great sound system. The black leather interior is very hot in the sun, the steering wheel is hard to touch sometimes. I am a small person and the seats are a little large for me.

- Cheryl H

Remote start is the best feature by far!

I love my car. However at times I notice that my car tends to glitch with radio display as well as maintenance display. I really enjoy the remote start feature for those bitter cold winter or blazing summer days. My next car will hopefully be a some sort of Chevy SUV.

- Ashley W

Very nice car and very dependable good on gas and very roomy inside.

My vehicle is very reliable great on gas and I never had issues with my vehicle it also is very comfortable really roomy inside also very good on gas and drives like a dream I would differently say Chevy is the way to go, if your in the market for a new car or truck!

- Tomas P

My Chevrolet Malibu handled every long trek with ease!

Although I have taken it in for routine service, it has been a steady, reliable car for me! It has 110, 000 miles and mechanic says it can still go for at least 100, 000 more miles! It runs well and hope to drive it for many more years to come! Go see for yourself!

- David F

Chevy Malibu: the best there is.

This vehicle is very reliable. It is very good with gas mileage. I have yet to have any issues with this vehicle. As long as you take care of it, you should have no problems. It is very spacious as well. So it would be s good family vehicle if you do not like SUVs.

- Morgan M

Chevy is great about fixing their recalls on the Malibu ltz 2012.

I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu. For the most part it is a nice car although lately at 55. 000 miles I have had some issues with my brakes my front brakes have been the only ones working and my break breaks have barely been used. Not sure why this is an issue but it is.

- Morgan L

2012 Chevy Malibu 4 cylinder does not get up and go fast.

The 4 cylinder does not get up and go. I feel as if other cars can take off a whole lot faster than I can. I love the reliability though! I have never (knock on wood) had an issue with my car. I know my car will start everyday and it is solid other than taking off.

- Samantha S

I have had the car for a while and it has yet to break down more than once.

The car has only had one major breakdown so it is been pretty reliable. It is made multiple 6-7 hour trips with no problem. The gas mileage is sound. I really have no complaints about it. It is a good reliable car and has last me for almost 6 years at this point.

- William L

Low maintenance costs. Still drives well after $83, 000 miles.

I like my Malibu overall. No real mechanical issues. Drives great. Some minor issues such as the steering wheel started cracking. I just put a steering wheel cover over it. One of the tire monitors quit working, but I learned to love without it. No other issues.

- Paula O

Very comfortable, dependable, reliable, great looking vehicle.

Have had no problems, very reliable, feel very safe when riding in it, a dream to drive; very comfortable, regular maintenance done, like the look of the vehicle, have had no issues with it not starting, love the moon roof and the remote start, a great vehicle!

- Helen L

Overall a good decent car.

There is no pick up. I hate the color. It does drive smooth but when you are stopping you can feel the car downshifting which I do not like. It is a full size car with good turning range. Not a car I would want to get again, but a good first car for a teenager.

- Cristina S

Its highlights are that this car is dependable and has been for the last year.

I've had a few brake line issues. But over all my vehicle has been dependable. I've had the oil changed twice and a few tires replaced over the last year. The paint on the vehicle is a little discolored but it is over all still drivable and pleasing to the eye.

- Lorraine H

Always easy to find parts. If needing repair.

It is a common car with classy style. Simple, sweet and comfortable. Decent on gas (28ish). The only better g issues I have noticed is they didn't put the right kind of breaks in it. Had to upgrade last time I had them change because of a over heating issue.

- Lynn C

Very smooth ride, great beginner car.

I think this vehicle drives very smooth. I wish it got better gas mileage and the headlights were easier to change. All in all, it is a solid car. The model we have is not very updated. I wish it did also have some newer features such as a proper Bluetooth.

- Samantha J

Comfortable to ride in. Very clean.

It is a Malibu ltz so it has leather seats, sunroof, etc. Nicest car I have had in years. Because of mileage (86450) starting to experience mechanical failures I. E. Battery, alternator, starter, wheel bearings which have all been replaced in last 2 months.

- Ruth S

Economical and fun car. I love Chevy.

It is a very economical car with great gas mileage. It looks great. It is easy to drive and maintain. If you want a good midsize affordable car this is perfect. The body size and style are great, gas mileage is great. Chevy is the only car I want to drive.

- Michelle K

Nothing really. It's nothing special, it gets me back and forth to work and does what I need it to do.

It's OK but it's really nothing special. I'm really very disappointed in the climate control. I just really don't feel like it cools like it should. This was my first GM product in 20 years and I'm seriously thinking about going back to driving a Ford.

- Beth H

The Malibu is a nice looking car and a comfortable ride. It has a strong engine.

It is a flex fuel car which means it can take regularly gas or a special gas called flex fuel. It does not get the best gas mileage. Otherwise it is a great car. It is a comfortable ride and the breaks work great. The transmission shifts smoothly as well.

- Lori W

Malibu perks are the heated seats, spacious backseat and the spacious trunk.

My Malibu is amazing! It has heated front seats and is very spacious. There is also plenty of trunk space. The 2012 Malibu has great gas mileage if you ask me. It also will let you know when your tire pressure is low and needs air, which is very useful.

- Samantha E

The size is perfect for a family of four.

It is very good on gas and the on star in the car is very useful, the trunk space is good enough for groceries, but not for vacation because the backseat does not have enough room, but very nice family car and very nice feel when driving on bumpy roads.

- Joseph Y

Had to replace to timing belt and too much work had to be done do it.

I have only had my car about a year, and I had to put two wheel bearings in, front brakes, power steering, shocks, caliper, o2 sensor. It has been in the shop every month for something. The headlight keeps going out, something keeps blowing the wiring.

- Dana G

2012 Chevy Malibu golden, cozy, and cute!

I have had my 2012 Chevrolet Malibu for 3 years and it has been in my family for a long time and it has been very good to us! Aside from regular maintenance, I have not had to do any major repairs thus far. It is very cozy and cute. I highly recommend.

- Renee J

Best car I have ever owned and I have owned many!

Quiet and smooth, comfortable especially on long drives. Fully equipped, leather seats (heated, too) and a sunroof. Perfect auto for adults or for a family. Great gas mileage, too. Handles mountains and curves beautifully without straining the engine.

- Patti G

Chevy Malibu 2012 review and thoughts.

I love the looks and the feel of the car when I get in it. The gas mileage is amazing and it is a great family car. It was my first car and is my daily driver. It is never had any problems and I plan on keeping it until I find a reason to buy another.

- Tyler B

I like the vehicle because it has tinted windows.

It has minor damage. It needs tune-up, oil change. It will need four new tires. It needs a manifold, a crankshaft sensor. It will need a headlight I have replaced that 2 times. It may need a paint job. It may need to be fully detailed and seat covers.

- Crystal W

Too low and uncomfortable.

Seats are not comfortable, can give back ache after drive for like one hour, not a great back support. They keep calling me from the manufacturer that are pieces missing and need to be replace. Its too low and make it difficult to look at your right.

- Katherine S

It is very difficult to do changes or repairs by yourself.

I love the way it looks. The shape and color are perfect! It runs great, I have never had any major issues with it. The only thing I hate is that it is hard to do any repairs or changes yourself. They have made that very difficult but I get it done.

- Alexis J

A great value when purchased used, but expect to do some maintenance and repairs.

I think it's a very handsome, feature packed vehicle. Mine is the highest trim (LTZ) so it has a lot of luxuries I enjoy. However, it rides very poorly on It's big 18 inch wheels, and it does have some suspension issues that I need to get fixed.

- Matthew D

It will last and you'll get your money's worth.

I like how reliable my car is along with all the added features like the sunroof. I do not like how difficult it is to change the headlights or the amount of blind spots it has. It is a good looking vehicle that gets around and lasts long.

- Carli J

Reliable so far, drives smooth, and is comfortable.

Nice vehicle, high end model. Lots of bells and whistles, which is really nice. Grill not set correctly and is plastic, so a clip broke while trying to set it straight. Driver side door handle clips missing, just haven't fix yet.

- James H

There is a pending recall on my vehicle.

Overall the vehicle is very nice and the appealing. It does have a really bad fall though. Low-level maintenance like light bulb replacement for the headlights for this vehicle has to be done by a mechanic and can be very expensive.

- O R

Chevrolet builds great cars, and the Malibu is one of them, fun to drive!

Good fun car to drive. No defects or manufacturing issues. The V-6 engine is very responsive and quick. Gas mileage should be much better than it is. Seats become uncomfortable on long drives. The best mid-size car available!

- Rose L

2012 Chevy Malibu Review 5+ years owning

It is reliable and I have not had any mechanical problems with it but it has terrible blind spots when driving. It does not have enough safety features to make up for the horrible blind spots. The trunk is much too small for me.

- chrystal b

My car has been pretty reliable, of course with upkeep and maintenance.

I like the appearance of my car. I really enjoy using the touchscreen as well, which also has a backup camera. I live the sunroof on my car. I'd have to say what I like the least are the seats because they are partially leather.

- Brandy G

It is a major process to change the headlight bulbs. A person should not have to take a car to a garage for a simple bulb change if they're capable of doing it themselves.

Like the room in the cabin area as well as the room in the trunk area. Dislike the process you have to do to change headlight bulbs. It is slightly harder to change the air filter than in the other cars I've owned in the past.

- Kevin H

The gas mileage is terrible on the car.

Gas is bad and I have had to have tons of work on it. Ever since I bought it something just feels off about it and whenever I take it to get serviced they say it is all fine. But the car literally lags when I hit the gas pedal.

- Kelsey T

Reliable, safe and versatile.

The Chevy Malibu has been a genuinely a reliable and durable car. The basic model has worked great for the large amounts of driving I do. I have had maintenance here and there, however no major repairs due to the model itself.

- Brittany L

There are so many in the road for a reason. They're reliable little tanks.

It's reliable, roomy and a very comfortable ride. I wish the gas mileage was better and it's harder to repair than older Chevys. Still, it doesn't give me many problems and the ones it has so far haven't been very expensive.

- Tiffany T

Good car but long term quality is questionable.

A great car to get you from point A to point B. The car has good room in the cabin for it is size and gets good gas mileage. The car is starting to break down with age and the quality of the vehicle is becoming questionable.

- Jason A

When anyone is in my car they must clean up after themselves.

I like that my vehicle gets me from a to b and that it has held up for a good while and still proves to be a quality car. I love the shape of the car and the size. Very little work has to be done on my car and it runs well.

- Christian B

it is a great balance of functionality and comfort

it isn't too big or too small. it has good pickup but good mileage too, and it has a big trunk, great comfortable seats, and good air conditioning. It is practical but still fun, and it is comfortable on long trips.

- jon N

It is well-made and reliable, especially for the price.

I like that it is comfortable, safe, and easy to maneuver. I also appreciate that it is cheap to repair and is still in good condition. My only complaint is that the gas pedal is slightly over sensitive to pressure.

- Jillian S

My car is luxurious and can accommodate several passengers with ease.

I like the space I have in the back seat. There is plenty of legroom for all my passengers. I can store plenty of groceries in the back seat as well. The last thing I like about it is the fuel efficiency it gets.

- Andy K

It is a great reliable car. Totally recommend it.

It is a great car, drives me everywhere and not once have I ever had to take it to the mechanic. a first I had trouble getting used to how big it was. I can fit everything in it and the leg space is just great.

- Andrea A

It is easy to maneuver. But it needed repairs too soon.

I have been generally happy with it. I dislike the cupholders in the front- the spot for the second drink is smaller bumps against the storage area. It is 6 years old and I have had to replace the struts.

- Lori F

The car is very easy to drive and the instruments used, such as windshield wipers, lights, and radio are within easy reach while driving.

I love the body style and the way it rides, so smooth and quiet. I like the color, which is a dark gray/black and I like the sound system. There is nothing I dislike about the car and I have no complaints.

- Carla F

It is one of the highest safety rated vehicles in its class.

The car gets great gas mileage in the city or highway. The seats are fairly comfortable for long rides and are cleaned easily. The paint chips off very easily and most of my front bumper has no paint left.

- Kev g

Great mileage, stylish interior...Love my Malibu!

I have had no problems at all. No engine troubles at all. Car is very comfortable; especially for long trips. Love the gas mileage. I think the interior is very attractive and stylish. Great mid rise car!

- Angela T

Great car, have enjoyed it since day 1.

No problems from this vehicle. Very comfortable, drives great. Very reliable, enjoy this vehicle, have the opportunity to upgrade but choose not to. Would like better stereo, or Bluetooth capabilities.

- Ginger M

Reliable midsize car with plenty of space for passengers

It's old, but it is holding up well. It's a midsize car with plenty of trunk space, but since I live in the city it can be hard to find parking. Plenty of room for passengers, but I mostly drive alone

- Megan N

Great experience with the engine.

Has satellite radio and GPS excellent stereo with 6 speakers. I love the heated seating because it keeps me warm in the cold morning weather. Steering is excellent and tires are balanced and on point.

- Terri J

My vehicle drives very nice, and it does handle great.

I like the reliability and handling of my vehicle, it drives great. I love how large my trunk is, there is a lot of room. I do not like the comfort of my vehicle, the seats are not very comfortable.

- Tawna S

That it is great on gas, has a sleek look and runs great.

Love my car, good on gas. Love the way it looks. Drives well, and is pretty good in the winter despite being a car. Only complaint is it is a bit low and have a hard time seeing over large objects.

- Tayler F

Chevy Malibu, low maintenance and high quality

I absolutely love my car. What I love the most is the comfortable, sleek interior. The touch screen navigation combined with the radio is the best. I've had tire issues, but nothing else too major.

- Marth P

My car might have seen a lot of miles back and forth to work but it's reliable and holding true.

My Malibu has been reliable since I've had it to get me to and back from work for years. I've put lots of miles on it and it gets me to point a to b. I also like that it doesn't use a lot of gas.

- Joshua U

It cost way to much to maintain a Malibu

It sucks. It cost way to much to have insurance on it and if I knew just how much it would cost to have any repairs done I never would have bought it. Its $160 just to change the headlight bulb!

Overall it's a pretty dependable car.

We bought our Malibu gently used. It's been a really great car so far. I love that it has heated seats and remote car starter. But the blind spots are kind of big and the leg room isn't great.

- Emily R

The most important thing others should know about our car is that it is reliable.

Our Chevy Malibu has been good to us the last two years we've had it. There really has been no problems with it. The only problem we have now with our car is that our family is outgrowing it.

- Katie C

It is expensive and the value of my car is going down. The miles are super high.

Needs new tires they're all no good. Interior is all stained. Car has a cigarette smell to it. Is kind of noisy underneath hood. Bumper is nearly off. Headlight only works when bright are on.

- Olivia M

It is very reliable. I don't have to worry that it's going to break down.

It's just the right size, not too big or too small. It holds a lot in the trunk. It's easy to drive and has lots of bells and whistles. The only thing I don't like is that it's getting older!

- Carol B

It is a great car. I have a few more things I need to do to get the best deal.

Nothing wrong I love my car. This the best car I ever had so far. Everything is going well with the car. Yes I will be able to get it done. I have a few things I need to do to get this done.

- Louise R

It is a four cylinder engine.

I like the ride and quality. I dislike the gas mileage for the size and dislike that it is a sedan. The color is unique and the features were okay for its time. It does not have a compass.

- Regan H

Comfortable and reliable, it also has a push button trunk.

I have had no problems with my car, just recently it started making a creaking sound which may mean I need new brake pads, it is very comfortable and reliable especially for a family of 3.

- Joselyn V

Fuel Economy is good as is handling of the vehicle.

The car is very fuel efficient and handles well. The car is a pleasure to drive for long distances. When the nearest city is 100 miles away, handling and fuel efficiency is important.

- Wyatt C

It has been a reliable ride for me.

I like the handling of the car, the body style is pleasing. The things I dislike are in most vehicles, too much plastic in the body, space saver spares and a computer running everything.

- Al L

It is very dependable and drives smoothly!

I love the body of the car. It drives very smoothly and has been dependable! I cannot think of any complaints that I have about it. I feel in love with it the first time I test drove it.

- Kass M

That it has pretty extensive blind spots on both sides of the vehicle.

I dislike the blind spots on either side. This wasn't a problem in previous vehicles I have owned. I don't like how it handles in the winter. I do like the gas mileage this vehicle gets.

- Mildred K

The car is easy to drive and sits high enough to see everything.

No complaints at this time. Like it very much other than no ashtrays in it, some people do still smoke. You could have them hidden but still there for the ones that smoke such as myself.

- Denise Q

It is sleek and easy to drive and holds its value.

I love the car. I wish it had Bluetooth. The only reason I dislike it right now is because something is wrong with it. Probably my alternator. Other than that I love driving my vehicle.

- Alexis A

It is a joy to ride even though it is no longer made.

It is dependable. It is safe. However, I do not like the fact the radio knobs are peeling. I also wish the interior was a bit darker in color, because water marks or stains are present.

- Amy P

U get pretty good gas mileage.

I would rather drive a SUV type vehicle but if u have to drive a car I like mine. It is older so there is not very much fanciness in the interior so more high tech stuff would be nice.

- Andrea V

Reliable, comfortable and stylish

My Chevy Malibu is very reliable and I have no major problems with it since I have owned the vehicle. It is a dependable vehicle for driving to work or going on vacations with family

- Tammy F

Drives well in all weather types.

I bought a basic model so it do not have a lot of things on it. I wish it had a power driver seat and heated seats. I like the way it drives and handles in all weather conditions.

- Lauren A

Good car-go buy yourself one.

Has been a great running car for the money I spent buying it. Never had any trouble with this car. I put gas in and go. Changed the oil every 7000 miles and still runs like a top.

- Tanya J

It is a great starter car for anyone.

I really enjoy my Malibu! Only problem I have had is a headlight goes out a lot! Has great gas mileage and runs smooth! No major complaints a all. Very comfy and spacious inside!

- Kylie H

It is a very reliable, affordable, and sharp looking vehicle.

I enjoy the look of my vehicle, as well as, how affordable the vehicle is. I like the gas mileage my vehicle gives me. I like that it is a larger sedan with good gas mileage.

- Dustin H

Four door cars can be fun and dependable at the same time.

My Malibu is a very dependable vehicle. It works well for my family of 4 when I have them all in it. In addition, is works well for me during my 45-60 minute commute each day.

- Matt S

Easy to drive & is a safe vehicle.

I like my Malibu because it's easy to drive. Small enough to operate, but large enough when traveling. I wish the motor had more power. Should have a V6 instead of 4 Cylinder.

- Lori L

It's a reliable family sedan with good gas mileage and sufficient room.

It's a good size, and has good cargo capacity, although the trunk access is a little tight. It handles well and has good features, though the infotainment system is outdated.

- Matthew W

Great driving and good on gas mileage.

This vehicle has been one of my best one yet. I haven't had any problems or repairs. Keeping the oil change and keeping the tires rotated, has sustain the life of my vehicle.

- Sandra W

Reliable, comfortable vehicle with few issues.

Very good performance, pretty reliable, comfortable chairs, XM radio, some issues with transmission and breaks but easily fixable. Had one airbag recall. Overall a good car.

- Brandon S

Reliable quick and stylish. Great on gas mileage. Would buy again.

Love it. Black in color. Nice pick up no problems at all with it. Like the radio and style. When I press on the accelerator it goes. quick to respond. Great on gas mileage.

- Layne Y

Malibu's are fuel efficient and convenient, but tend to have engine and transmission problems which must be attended to.

It is a sleek and fuel efficient car, and it fills my needs well. I miss having some of the features and gadgets of more modern cars, but am still happy enough with my car.

- Emily W

Dependable, low gas mileage and low maintenance.

Good gas mileage, dependable vehicle has not failed me yet. Great for me since I am the only person in my household that has no maintenance issues. Tires are reasonable.

- Carlton W

It's fun to drive and is great on gas

I like the style, I like way it handles and I like the fact that it's good on gas. There's nothing I dislike except it's getting old and need Maintenance more frequently

- Dee H

Check out blind spot areas due to placement of window frames.

Placement sides of the front window frame needs to be examined & redesigned as they create a blind spots. Hubs on the tires are cheaply made as they easily get damaged.

- Terry D

It has a good warranty and the gas mileage is pretty good

there are barriers that make it hard to see vehicles coming at you. I notice that it is noisy and the ride is not smooth. what i like is it gets me where i need to go.

- beverly g

Seat tear easily due to the heat if I had one issue with the vehicle.

The vehicle runs very smooth it is loaded with all safety features. The interior is leather seats with carpeted flooring. The engine is quiet and smooth. Love my car.

- Johnny R

My car is spacious yet not too big and drives smoothly the radio sounds great and has a Bluetooth.

I love that it is big enough to be comfortable yet not too big and it looks good as well. My Malibu, is comfortable and easy to drive. There isn't anything I dislike.

- Angela M

It's a good alternative to more common cars like the accord or Camry

The ride is generally smooth. It handles well. It gets pretty good gas mileage. It's not a real powerful car, however. It takes a bit of time to get up at top speed.

- Alex E

If someone will use the car for the share ride or Uber/Lift usage, the trunk will not fit large size luggage.

Comfortable ride and enough legroom for driver. Mileage is ok, but there is some visibility issues. Trunk size issue, where you can not insert large suitcase sizes.

- Leon N

It is safe and affordable.

I absolutely love my car. I love that I have an aux cord and the option to use Bluetooth. My least favorite part of the car is that the windshield fogs up so much.

- Anna E

I never worry about breaking down

This car is reliable, efficient, and I don't have to worry about it breaking down. I use it mainly for city driving and haven't had any problems with it thus far.

- John n

My Chevrolet is very reliable and low maintenance.

My car is comfortable, not fancy. Bought it used. It is a practical car used mainly for errands around town. It has been very reliable and is in good condition.

- Jaye R

There are no problems or performance issues, it is just really plain. I HATE the fabric seats and It came with a traditional CD player. The only problems I have is I want upgrades

They should know that this is a great choice of car. Certainly be a great first car for the new drivers. It has had minimum issues and still drives very well.

- jennifer E

Check tire pressure, gas mileage will not be as good with low tire pressure.

Tire pressure measuring system has problems. Hard to maintain tire pressure. Service traction light always goes off. Cannot find anything wrong with vehicle.

- J M

That it is a good running car and is roomy.

I do not like how low it sits to the ground. I love that it is good on gas, travels well for long and short distance. I like be how the back seats lay down.

- Cindy E

I like my car's interior. It's very comfortable and spacious. I wish it had a sunroof and a little more power in the engine, but otherwise it's a good car.

- Justin W

Summarize my car. It's a decent car. Price was to much for a used car but I needed a car

It's a midsize car, low profile tires that doesn't do very well in the snow. It's a sporty looking car, when clean has a rich look to it. Runs pretty well.

- Diana A

Very fuel efficient, reliable and comes with Onstar

This is an excellent family vehicle. It gets great gas mileage and is very reliable. The only problem I have had is it is a pain to change headlight bulbs

- John L

great performance, especially pick up after stopping. excellent a/c and heating,

The interior room of car is small and the framing around windshield blocks view of pedestrians waiting to cross street at city block intersections

- Anne J

No rear air conditioning- very important for texas summers.

I love how spacious the inside of my car is. I like that it has a large trunk. I dislike how rough it rides on most roads. I love the gas mileage.

- Laney M

Malibu worth the money for the price.

I enjoy my Malibu for its handling. It accelerates quickly and hugs the road during inclement weather. I also s o love the turning radius.

- Hugh M

- Darlene S

I think this is more of a family car, it is quite spacious and it's really nice for a road trip if people are going to sit on the back

It is quite a large car for me, it uses a lot of gas, the interior is very nice though it has leather seats and seems very sophisticated.

- Saray M

rear window visibility is NOT good at all. Had to remove the headsets from every seat, in order to see properly. Also, bad blind spots by rear window.

main problem with the car, cost me a lot, and happened 2 miles after the dealer warranty expired! Most unfair. But car is mainly decent

- pat w

The car has great mileage and great for a small family car.

I like the horse power. I love the radio. But, I dislike how low to the ground it is because it makes it hard to drive into driveways.

- Angela B

Only holds four people comfortably.

It's getting to be too small for our family size. I wish there was more trunk space. The car gets great gas mileage and is dependable.

- Teresa c

Good value for a small SUV.

I love the way it drives, the low road noise, but I wish it could be cooler inside. I wish I had not gotten a sun roof as it 'squeaks.

I like the appearance of the vehicle. I also like the adjustable lumbar support in the seat. My complaint would be the sound system.

- Christine W

I am not a fan of small compact cars because i do not feel safe. The tires and alignment is easily messed up with every little bump

- Erica A

That it is a 6-cylinder and has a lot of power.

My vehicle is terrific with all of the amenities it incorporates. I love the comfort of the seats. I love the overall look & feel,.

- Judith M

After it has a lot of miles on the car it doesn't run good.

Just a lot of problems with the engine which makes the care not good. I like how it is a newer car. I like that it is good on gas.

- Madison M

It has great sensors to keep you up to date with maintenance and any issues.

I like the most the size, materials, and technology. My only dislike is how low it is, making it difficult to change a flat tire.

It is daily friendly. It has a lot of room in the back set and in the trunk.

I love the body shape. The color is a nice white. I wish it did look cleaner than what it does. That would be my only complaint.

I love Chevy. I like that it has not failed me. I do not like that it waste a lot of gas. I do not like the leather seats crack.

2012 Chevy malibu-reliable and decent

My Malibu runs great. The speakers aren't as loud as I would like them to be but the system plays nice.

I Love my Malibu and its features. The only con I have is that I wish I had a Bluetooth inside and the key pad on my key broke

- Kristina C

Great on gas mileage and comfortable for traveling.

I love how big my vehicle is. It is comfortable, heavier feel and easy to fix when needed. I love my heated seats and sunroof.

- Alexis R

Reliable and awesome ride.

Drives real smooth. Pretty good on gas mileage. Good air conditioning. Parts and maintenance pretty cheap. Unlike my Cadillac.

- Arlene M

It has had problems with the fuel pump and electrical problems as well. I love the gas mileage and comfortability of the car

It's reliable and I feel like it's a decent vehicle.

It's reliable and gets me from point a to point b. When I got it, it was used and i had several things go wrong right away.
