Overall very happy with my 2017Malibu. Great mileage, acceleration, leather interior, Bose surround sound stereo, all the trim I could want and more. Disappointed the black trim on doors is lifting and will eventually peel away. Very unhappy about the Shift to Park issue. Replaced the part in July 2020 and again July 2021 for a total cost of $1200. This is a safety issue if the car won't park. RECALL THIS ISSUE CHEVROLET. Chevrolet is aware of the problem as they have issued a notification to the dealerships.

Car itself is decent but overall it has many problems. The transmission growling, shifts hard at times, high rpms before shifting, motor vibrates, blow by coming from motor, remote key fob half the time detects, auto stop is a bad cause, it shuts off & restarts causing things to wear out faster inside motor, inside rear interior headliner constantly wet leaking from somewhere in back, dash & radio blacks out while going down the road, vibrates going down the road, decent mpg, mostly comfortable under (6’ 2”), Chevrolet just should of just took more time engineering the car mechanically before putting it out.

Chevy Malibu 2017 my opinion.
I really do not have no issue with my car I been having it for about 6 months now is well take care of. What I love about this vehicle is that when your driving it feels so smooth you kind of do not feel the road. I love how it touch screen and you can control everything from the steering wheel and easy to connect to Bluetooth and also comes with free Wi-Fi. I love everything it comes with it.

There is a sun roof in ours and that is super nice.
I really like how it is remote start, no key. The back up camera is really nice when in a tight spot and cannot see everything around you. The backseat fits 2 car seats and a booster seat amazingly. The kids are still about to move a bit. Everything about it says that it is a family car. We love it!

Car problems on a 2017 Chevy Malibu.
My car and me have a love hate relationship, the problems my car have are not very big and or important just annoying because no one wants car problems lol. I had to replace the battery to my car along with the alternator, the battery in my key fob dies often.

2017 Chevy Malibu performance.
I have had a few issues with this car already and I have only had it for about a month! I overall love most of the features and the vehicle performance but I have noticed there are some technological glitches. I have had my electric speedometer stop working once, as well as my radio/aux would not work for a day. Both issues have resolved themselves after sitting off for a night.

The automatic stop feature was hard to get used to..Gas mileage has been great and features like hands off texting and calling is great..Seats are comfortable and very few blind spots to contend with... A car you will fall in love with.
I fell in love with my car the minute I drove it. The ride is very smooth, the seats are extremely comfortable. Enough leg room in the back seats. Trunk has a lot of space especially for taking long road trips. The gas mileage is awesome and since I work close to home, only fill up about once a week. The back up camera is my favorite along with the push button start. The automatic start button is amazing especially in the colder months and downloading the app for my car lets me start it from anywhere that's reasonably close. Over all I absolutely love it.

Unhappy Malibu owner.
Few months ago had to have work done on back tire. Would not pass inspection so it had to be repaired.Had 10000 miles. Now few months later having trouble with remotes. Car wouldn’t lock. Then wouldn’t start. Then was ok for day. Again wouldn’t start and lock.Totally unhappy with this vehicle. I don’t believe back tire problem was due to potholes. Malibu at least this 2017 Was not a good car. Don’t know about my future with Buying another one.

2017 Chevy Malibu lt sedan.
The Chevy Malibu is an amazing car, especially for first time owners. It drives extremely smoothly and does not go from side to side. This car has an auto stop feature on the newer versions, which turns the engine off when you stop in traffic and back on when you let your foot off the brake. This saves on gas even though this car gets outstanding gas mileage.

Spend less than 50 bucks a month on gas!
I had an issue with an improperly installed brake pad that cause my traction control and cruise control sensors to malfunction. Other than that easy fix my car has been wonderful. Love the gas mileage, I am averaging 27-28 miles per gallon! Occasionally the apple pairing does not work on my touch screen but this is not a large concern for me.

Why I purchased a car I leased.
Dual zone temp. Controls, 2 driver reset seat and mirrors, heated and aircon. Seats. Great gas mi. As well as 250 hp. Result in a comfortable ride and power when needed. Sound system is great as well as large screen with a data link and GPS system that is large enough to read at a glance.

My car has great gas mileage. I did have to replace a part for the shifter recently. I would put my car in park, but the dash would keep saying 'put car in park'. I love the Chevy MyLink capability and am able to personalize my touch screen with it. I have never had a back up camera before this car, and I love it.

2017 Malibu with start-stop engine.
My 2017 Malibu is the best car I have ever had. It has cruise control, blind spot alerts, a rearview camera and lane departure notification. It also has standard equipment like a radio and air conditioning. The most important feature is a start-stop engine. That feature works as follows: after the engine has warmed up, when the car comes to a stop light the engine turns off as long as your foot is on the brake (up to about a 2 minute period), when you foot is taken off the brake the engine starts up again. This helps achieve better gas mileage than similar cars without start-stop. My gasoline engine regularly gets better that 30 mpg and has gotten as much as 40 mpg.

Bluetooth and CarPlay but haven’t been able to use CarPlay with an androids.
Needs more maintenance than older vehicles. Due to not having a gas cap the check engine came off because the plastic ring in the hole where you put gas fell off and showed an emissions problem. It fills up with less money which is good but also goes through gas quickly when used as daily driver.

I have been a Chevy Malibu owner for several years and have always sworn by the Malibu. Great reliable car, when maintained well they rarely break down or have problems. The car is very fuel efficient and is very comfortable and easy to drive. My last Malibu had 265,000 original miles before I traded it in and got a newer one.

Gas mileage feature could be improved.
When my fuel mileage is low the car just tells me that my fuel is low. In the most crucial times it does not tell me how far away from empty I am, but when I have any amount of gas above 30 miles it tells me how many miles till empty. This does not make any sense to me at all. It took awhile to get used to the fuel economy turning on and off but this was my first car with this feature. I still think it could be a little more quiet. Besides those two main things I really like how reliable my car is. It gets good gas mileage but still looks modern and new enough to feel like a cool affordable sedan vehicle.

Great car with minor flaw.
There is a problem with the shifter that causes the car to display 'shift to park' when it is in park and shut off. I have heard the fix is expensive, so I fiddle with the shifter until the message goes away. That is my only complaint with the car thus far. I have owned it for a year and drive it daily.

Gas tank issues
I’ve had this car 4months now and since the day I drove it off the lot, the gas gauge needle goes down so fast. I’ve had it go down 1/8th of a tank only driving 5 miles. Brought to dealer many times and they tell me time and time again there’s nothing wrong with it. Going down 1/8th of a tank in 5 miles is not normal. From yellow light, I can only put 8 gallons in the tank before the tank cuts off. I never get more than 220 miles of range on a full tank.

Great car, some factory defects.
I overall love my car. There are a few factory defects, but only one of which I have had to deal with personally. All defects are covered for ten years, so I feel comfortable knowing I never have to cover the cost. This is the third Malibu I have owned/leased and plan to make a Malibu my next purchase as well. Great value, better price.
I haven't really had any major problems with the car so far. Occasionally, the sensors will detect something to be closer than it actually is and will set off the alarms. The performance is great. The 4 cylinder turbo runs just like a v6 but gets better gas mileage. Very reliable gets me wherever I need to go no problem or hiccups. The comfort and features are outstanding. Heated/cooled seats, back up camera, heated steering wheel, hand free system adjustments, Wi-Fi available, Bluetooth and apple carplay accessible.

It has fantastic gas mileage. I cannot fill up my whole tank for around under twenty dollars and have 400 miles to drive. It drives very nicely and I haven’t experienced any problems. It is very reliable for a college student. I drive to college and back once every week and each drive is two and a half hours. Everywhere I drive I stay comfortable in the nice seats.

Issue with maps on android auto.
Runs and drives smoothly. Only issue that I have had with my car, is when I have my phone connected through android auto and try to use the maps, it is not accurate. It gives me all wrong directions. Other than that issue, my car has been fantastic and I cannot complain.

Vehicle has had no major issues. Runs and drives smoothly. Not a huge fan of the auto stop feature that shuts the car off at stops, it seems to waste more gas than it would save. Also have started noticing small issues in the lower gears, lagging when shifting.

Lots of miles but still reliable.
So far, very little problems. 12v battery was replace after 14 months. Hybrid model averages 43 mpg over almost 42,000 miles. Great HVAC in hot Texas weather. Very comfortable on both long and short trips. Tire noise increasing as they wear out. Headlights could be much better. Radar cruise control available on other trim lines but not hybrid. Safety equipment works well. Starting to hear some rattles not there in first two years.

Chevy Malibu is an ugly vehicle.
We don't have a vehicle of our own. We are borrowing this vehicle. We hate it because it is tight. Even the front seats are tight. Not roomy at all. The car is also white, which is ugly. I also think the driver's seat sits too low. I am shorter and this makes me feel story of surrounded and blocked by the car. This is not a feeling I like when I drive. The interior is also ugly, not appealing at all.

Seats are very adjustable and comfy. Also, I am in love with the sound system. The speakers really fill the whole car with sound! It is a good car to take just about anywhere. The only thing I would change would be size. It could be bigger. The car really does over a pretty smooth ride as well. I would say it is a nice car to have and it is not too expensive.

Totally recommend for a small family of 3.
I have had no problems so far with my car, I bought it about a month ago with 33,000 miles on it. I have put almost 2,000 on it so far and haven't had any mechanical problems. The gas mileage is alright based on the small tank it has. I always run premium (89) gas in it to get the most miles as possible.

The drive is smooth and the pickup is excellent.
The pickup is great for a hybrid, it's very comfortable and it has been very reliable. The trunk space is much larger than any other hybrid (which is why I opted for it). I get about 500 miles to the tank. I have 2 kids and we fit nicely. My Apple phone plugs in for a dash display which is super convenient for GPS.

No problems, it has a great smooth ride and good mileage. I like having four days and USB a access for my electronic devices. So far no major service issues either. The car does equally good in high density city traffic and highway trips. The color is a beautiful midnight blue. Windows are a good size and the trunk is spacious.

Fantastic car for its value!

The trunk size is quite large for the midsize car that I have.
It is easy to start, has a very smooth ride, very good air conditioning. I only have to get the oil changed every 5,000 miles. The car runs so quiet, you can even tell it is even on. It is going on three years old and I still have the original tires on it from the day I bought it.

The premier Chevy Malibu is an excellent car for the price. It very fuel efficient and a comfortable ride. The premier edition has Bluetooth capability, heated and cooling seating, dashboard navigation, multiple monitors (I.E. Speed limit, tire pressure, etc). I haven't had any performance issues.

The perfect mid-sized car for a family of any size.
The Chevy Malibu is a great mid-sized vehicle. It works for families who have young children as well as families with older children. The Malibu is sporty and fuel efficient. The only issue I have had is with the windshield wiper fluid pump. It went out at 91,000+ miles.

The Chevy Malibu is the total package!
I love my Malibu! It gets great gas mileage, has minimal road noise and lots of legroom. The trunk holds a full load of groceries and more. It drives extremely smooth and is eco friendly. The Malibu has no major blind spots. It's high tech. And the back up camera is a life saver.

Why you should buy this car.
The car has been in perfect condition since I have gotten it and haven't had a problem with it. Other than the ac is a little lacking but I also live in south Georgia where it gets really hot so it is pretty unfair to blame the car for it. The seats can come in leather but I chose cloth and it is performance has been a breeze. I absolutely love it!

White Chevy Malibu make: 2017.
The only problem I have encountered was a display message while trying to turn the car off saying "Shift to park" When the vehicle was already in park. I took it to the dealership and they fixed it by switching out something that was in the shifting gear, luckily it is still under warranty.

An interesting drastic is the car has really good seats and a big rear window.
After a while it begins to malfunction, I have had my car for about 2 years and something keeps happening to it when I park it. But all in all it has been a really good car to me..Really good performance and a lot of miles. I really recommend buying this car if you have enough money.

BEST RIDE AND ECONOMICAL RIDE EVER.
One of the most comfortable rides, the seat adjusts not only forward and back also but up and down. The only dislike are, the A/C will slow down to almost no air moving while setting at a light and the dash lights go dim a lot.

Roomy vehicle smooth ride.
Sounds like rushing water sometimes during idle. Mph very good especially on long trips. Do not mind the auto shut off. Acceleration in good. Seats are comfortable. Trunk is large. Plenty of room in the backseat even for long legged teens. Ride is comfortable with little road noise.

The Malibu has OnStar service.
The 2017 Malibu is a great vehicle. It rides smooth, it has great navigation and Bluetooth. The other great thing about this vehicle is that it has push to start instead of using a key. The gas mileage is great and it is a very good choice for a vehicle.

Reliable vehicle for anyone of any age.
Not crazy about how it stalls out at a light, to save gas. It is really annoying, but I am getting used to it. Other than that, the car is great. Good on gas and very reliable. Not a very expensive car so it is good on the wallet. Great for a teenager, person who has to travel for work or an elderly person who just needs to get around town. The vehicle is a American made car so you would be supporting our own nation.

Trustworthy and comfortable!
Issues: camera issues. It always says “service rear camera” and they cannot figure out what the issue is. Performance-the vehicle drives well, however, it gets terrible gas mileage. It is a reliable vehicle and is comfortable. I love the sunroof, electric drivers seat, and spacious back seat. The trunk is also a great size. It is a great car for a family of 3, however, is not spacious enough for families greater than 4 people due to the small middle seat in the rear.

4 door, black Chevy Malibu. All leather and electric everything.
Love my vehicle. All leather, electric seats and windows. Great on gas mileage. Have not had any issues with it thus far. Have put no money into repairs and have almost 40,000 miles already. Very spacious for a car and a lot of trunk room as well. Overall I love my vehicle.

I have not had any issues with my 2017 Chevy Malibu I purchased in November of 2017. The power is perfect, and the features are great.
The 2017 Chevy Malibu has excellent pick up when you need to get down the road, and the gas mileage is great.

I love my car. It is very reliable, and affordable. You get a lot of options for a great price. I suggest that people look into purchasing a Chevy Malibu. I have leather seats that are soft and comfortable. The car comes with a sunroof. The car has a big 7 inch screen that helps change the radio stations and navigation channels. On cold nights the heated seats are amazing.

You get both class and style with the Chevy Malibu.
You get a great looking car for a reasonable price. I can easily average 25 to 30 mpg. I have even reached the mid 40s on the highway. The drivers seat can be situated any way imaginable and very comfortable. I have yet to have an uncomfortable passenger. Satellite radio is a great bonus to the car. I like being able to change the lock settings for safety purposes. I have not had a problem with the car to this point. The biggest negative to the car is how much noise you can hear on the highway.

The most amazing car I have ever had. It is blue violet, sharp and pretty.
I have had this car for over two years and it is super reliable. Haven't had any issues with it. Great on gas, and I love it! The breaks are great, the Bluetooth is a nice touch to the car. I'll be keeping this car for years, Chevy is a great company. Always buy Chevy malibu’s.

The gas mileage and maintenance on the vehicle have both been excellent.
The Chevy Malibu has been a great vehicle to own and drive. It has been very dependable with only routine maintenance required. I drive a long distance for work, and it has excellent gas mileage. The interior is very spacious for a mid-size sedan. I have had no complaints with this vehicle.

The most important thing about my car is that it's a Chevrolet! I think Chevrolet is one of the best car makers in the world!
I love this car! It has so many new features than my past cars. I really like the color, it's a metallic silver blue which makes it look blue or silver depending on how the sun hits it. The only thing I really don't like about it is the start button, I don't trust it to last long.

This vehicle is white with grey cloth seats. No mechanical issue. Runs good, rearview camera, Bluetooth touchscreen radio. The vehicle has an auto stop function to conserve gas. It normally takes about twenty dollars to fill up. The seats have automated functions to recline, raise, and adjust.

Unpredictable
I bought my Malibu brand new in June of 2017. The car was goodbut then started having problems. I've had to replace 3 different modules on the computer. After spending $700 thproblem still exists. Also when it rains, both sides leak water in the backseat from the rear glass. Sometimes when the car shuts off when stopped, it doesn't start back up. I have to sit and play with it for a minute. So aggravated. I can't wait to get a different car. Idc if it isn't new!

Great technology, poor driving performance.
The exterior design is good and the interior technology features are very good. But that power and handling is sub-par. With only 160 horsepower, it takes me forever to get up to full speed if I need quick acceleration off the start. But for the price range and if you do not care about power, it is a decent option.

2017 Malibu: technology features make navigating very safe on the road. Love it!
At 2 years of having my vehicle the only problem that I had with it has been the steering mechanism. The vehicle recently started indicating a 'steering mechanism' malfunction. My vehicle is not low on steering fluid, but the steering wheel sometimes 'jerks' in place after stopping briefly. Aside from this, the car runs smoothly, great Mileage and no other complications have come up ever since.

Love this car! So cute and easy to drive.
Love my car. It is cute and comfortable. There’s enough storage and space. The infotainment center is amazing. The seats are cloth which is great for summer. I love the remote and not having to use a key. One of my favorite things is that I can unlock my car without even touching the keys as long as they are close by.

Auto start stop is annoying.
The first 20k miles I had on this car were great and then the problems started. Apparently a sensor in the gas pedal went out and the engine lost power driving down the road. Got that cleared up. Car is very cheap. Overall for the cost I would give it a 3/5. It will get you there but be prepared to take it to the shop.
