It gets very good gas mileage and has been very low maintenance since I have had it. I have been very satisfied with the performance of the vehicle. I had wanted that model for quite some time and I am not disappointed that I waited to get it.
This vehicle has a V6 Engine providing plenty of horsepower for those who look for that, and it also has a good suspension for the year it was made. While it is a coupe there is plenty of legroom for rear passengers and lots of trunk space.
Only having two doors makes it hard to take all of the grandkids places. I have found that the exhaust needs repair and that parts are sometimes expensive. The trunk space is okay except for spare tire being in the compartment.
The gas mileage is pretty poor compared to newer cars. Usual combined mileage is somewhere around 16-18 MPG. Buying this car used as well means an number of things could be wrong with it at this point since it is a 15 year old car.
The 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has an average owner rating of 3.92 out of 5 which ranks it #13 of 14 other Midsize Cars.
