Chevy; reliable, dependable, built like a rock..

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

I bought my truck upon graduating college. I've always been a 'truck guy' and loyal to Chevy trucks. I drove it off the lot with 5 miles and was extremely happy. To this day I am very happy how my truck has treated me.. My truck has 240K miles and has never had a 'major' issue.. I have been pretty good with maintaining maintenance schedule. Till this day, I have my trucks battery changed 7 times, water pump 3 times, brakes serviced as needed,.. I've recently had its AC unit not work so I have to get that fixed before summer. Performance wise, my truck has done everything I've asked it. I've towed 'small weight' items. As far as reliability, I've never have it fail on me. Comfort wise, my truck is very comfortable and 'roomie'. The only downside is that since it's an older model truck, I currently have to connect my phone via an Auxiliary cable.

Oh, the places we'll go

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

This is the second Silverado I've owned. I love this truck for an all purpose vehicle; I can do my grocery shopping or take my dogs to the dog park and moving things is a breeze! I haven't had any performance issues with it, and I get the oil changed and fluids check on a regular basis. I prefer the fabric seats over the leather. No special features, just a handy, reliable truck to get me from point A to point B.

Selling points of the Chevy Silverado

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

I am quite satisfied with the level of quality of my Chevy Silverado. It has enough and a little extra as far as performance. It is powered by a V8 engine which gives it the little extra that carries it down the road seemingly effortlessly, while not consuming any more gasoline than necessary. The design is stylish

We love the towing capability! You can pull anything. Very handy.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

Our truck has been super reliable for everything. We love having the crew cab for extra passengers as well as plenty of space even for adults. I would highly recommend this vehicle for anyone who is looking for a family vehicle as well as the healing ability. You can pull anything behind it!

My basic truck and I cannot complain about it at all.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

I have no problems with my truck. It performs quite well of older model truck. I find it quit reliable to being a comfort when I drive it during errands. The features are quite basic to meet my standard in driving a truck to and from daily tasks. There is nothing I can complain about it.

The good and the bad of owning a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

I have not had any problems. The only bad thing is it is a gas hog the body is starting to rust out a little bit because of the winter weather over the years. I keep routine maintenance on it changing oil brakes rotors. We had to replace the power steering coil and pump a few weeks ago.

Our truck is reliable, dependable and sturdy.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

We love the dependability of our truck. It has gone through multiple family members and is still running strong with minimal issues. It is a comfortable ride and we have taken it on long trips. We also like having it for the ability to transport large furniture or loads.

Comfortable and easy to drive.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

Nice comfy leather seats, easy to sit in and still be comfortable during a long drive. Lots of room for children and animals. Drives smooth and gas isn't too expensive for a truck. Doesn't get up to speed very fast, but it does drive nice. Good truck for long trips.

Reliability with minimal upkeep.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base

The transmission has always had this clunk sound even from the first. We have 390,000 miles on this truck. We have replaced the motor, but the transmission is still the original one. The upholstery is in good condition with a small tear in the driver side seat.
