Being an owner of a Chevy Silverado is probably one of my greatest investments.

I love Chevy. I grew up with Chevy vehicles, all trucks since I lived in a farm. I currently own a 2011 Silverado 1500. It runs great. It is roomy, the back seats are fairly comfortable. I have a newborn and her car seat fits great. And our two other younger children gave plenty of room in the back. We love having a pick up because it is easy to move big items such as furniture, household appliances, home gardening supplies, really big items that cannot fit in the vehicle. My truck is very dependable. However I do make sure it is maintained well. If you take care of your vehicle and it is maintenance it runs and works better and longer. Some problems I find with my truck is with the turn radius. It is not very easy to turn the wheel to park in parking spots. So I find I have to find spots where no one else is parked just to make it easier on me to park. Another problem, my husband changes the breaks and pads himself and he has trouble taking the wheel parts off. He had to take the truck to pepe boys to have them loosen up some parts on the wheels. There is something squeaking in the truck I think it is the back seat. I really can't pinpoint it. I have googled it and others who own the same vehicle have the same problem. Also the front dash has cracked and keeps getting bigger and bigger. I do live in Florida so the sun inside has had an effect not this. I did find another dash and it is inexpensive and fairly easy to install. I spend a lot on gas each week. But I do not have to use the most expensive fuel so that helps. Gas is expensive so if you are not looking to spend a lot on gas I would suggest not buying a truck or have an alternate vehicle to drive. We owned a Chevy Camaro and it was a great car too. Our younger girls fit comfortably in the back but with the new baby it wasn't easy fitting her in the back. I really love my Chevy Silverado. I have owned a Ford lariat and that was a good truck too but I wouldn't trade my Silverado for another truck unless it were for a brand new Silverado.

Never thought I would love a truck but I do now.

My truck is a four door, four wheel drive Chevrolet Silverado. I love the four doors for myself and my four girls when we all travel together. We have plenty of room for everyone when traveling. The seats are comfortable with plenty of elbow room. The bed gives us plenty of room for carrying suitcases, our treasures from a shopping spree, or whatever is needed. Where we live we get enough snow in the winter time that I feel safer with the four wheel drive and so do my girls. They have borrowed my truck many times in the winter to get around on bad roads. For as large as my truck is I cannot complain about the fuel economy either. All my girls have driven my truck. They also enjoy the comfort they have in my truck and how everyone can get in and out with ease because of the four doors. We all enjoy the hauling ability we have with my truck. If it is moving furniture, taking out tree limbs, hauling things to the dump we all have depended on my Silverado. Even going out to with friends, to the movies, shopping we always have enough room. The truck itself to me is very stylish and sharp looking. Easy to drive. I have thought maybe if it wasn't so easy to drive maybe my girls wouldn't come borrow it so often. In truth that is all right also. I know the are safe in my truck when going somewhere. I also feel better. I am not as worried when they travel. If I have to get a different vehicle, I will get another one just like it.

An all around American classic for a reason.

My Chevrolet Silverado is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Dollar for dollar it had payed for itself repeatedly I would not hesitate to buy another Chevy vehicle in the future. Even though my Silverado is technically a work truck trim, it is very comfortable and ergonomic. As an added plus, spills and messes or daily grime is easy to pick up and clean from the surfaces of the work truck saving time and hassle. The features in the truck although basic are well done and everything in the truck works as well today as it did years ago. The transmission is the only thing that has shown a few signs of wear, but the issues were small and common and covered under the extended warranty and even without it were insignificant enough that anyone could have the issues resolved easily with minimum payment. As a Segway into the cost effectiveness of the pick-up, the fuel mileage is very economic for a truck of the size. With a bed that large and useful one would think the fuel consumption for the truck would be high but instead the truck uses a normal a doable amount of fuel and with our normal use easily least the week.
