I was first attracted to my car because it is small, cute and I love the color. I have not really had many issues except the transmission did need replacing but it was covered under the warranty. I am short and the seats go up really close and I still feel safe.

It is very small rides smooth.
They only problem I have with my car so far is natural cause.(hail) damage. It is starting to make noise from the tires the struts are going bad or out not for sure otherwise it is in good condition. It is a good starter car for someone new.. It gets me to where I need to go.

It is a red sonic, and it has fabric interior.
Right now the ac discharge hose is broken and we cannot get a replacement because they do not make the party anymore. Other than that the car works well, I seem to drive around the entire island of Oahu every week, and I do not seem to use much gas. The car is reliable.

The car has great safety features. Very compact, fits into tiny spaces and small garages. Great gas mileage. Great car for a high school/college student especially. Many colors to choose from and very affordable. Trunk has good storage. Air flow is good.

Back seats fold down to extend the trunk area which is extremely helpful.
I have never had any issues. Since purchase, it has been the most reliable car that I have ever driven. It isn't exactly a luxury vehicle, it doesn't have cruise control, Bluetooth, etc. Because it is the very basic model. But it hasn't ever had any major mechanical issues.

Small vehicle, great on gas mileage. And that is about it.
The transmission keeps messing up, it leaks and locks up. The vehicle overheats a lot, it has problems with the coolant and has to be burped frequently or else it just overheats and the ac/heater does not work. The rear axle loosens up a lot and the steering is loose.

I love everything about my Chevy sonic.
I love my sonic. It is been a great car the entire time. I have never had an issue. It gets great gas mileage highway and city. I fill up twice a month. I love that it is four doors, but also not a really long car. I love all the displays and accessories. There's plenty of room in the trunk, the back seats are spacious. Overall, I would buy this car again instead of getting a new car when the time comes.

2012 Chevy sonic is a very reliable, cool sleek design interior!
Only problem I have had is that the exterior paint has started to get sun damage, it does not look glossy anymore it has a rough feel to it. I have had minor issues with the coil pack but I think is just a issue that could arise with any vehicle. I have 140,000 miles on it still runs like a dream!

Anything but Chevy, a history.
So many emissions issues, constantly in the shop for them. Cheap on the inside. An okay car for the price. I wish I had gone with a Volkswagen or something of the sort. Chevy is no good as a whole and I would not recommend. Go with another brand and don't buy American cars. They're cruddy.

Really good quality speakers, love listening to my music in this car.
Relatively comfortable, not the fastest car. I like the trunk space, and I think it looks pretty decent. Has not failed not once on me yet, does pretty well on gas. Never had a problem with it, yet. I hope I do not. I'd like to keep it for a while. Definitely recommend.

I really love my car! I do not have any problems with it and is very reliable. It is a subcompact so it is not too small but not big either, which I prefer. It drives smoothly and is not too low to the ground. I do however wish there was a way to open the trunk without getting out of my car.

Chevy sonic 2012: the summary.
My vehicle has had a number of issues with the engine, I had to fix the air flow filter, the catalytic converter, and all of the metal pieces within the engine. The cars overall performance is great, I kept fixing the car. It is comfortable and I enjoy driving it.

Great gas mileage and dependable!
For the most part I love my sonic. The only issue I have had is a rattle in the front end of my car that I am about to have looked at. It has been a dependable car for long distance travel. And it has worked great to putt around town I love the gas mileage being around 30 miles to the gallon.

2012 Chevy sonic is okay, cheap car.
I bought this car when it had 50,000 miles on it and since then, it has been breaking down non stop. The power steering has been out for years and since it is technology related it will be incredibly expensive to fix. It is a nice cheap car but you will be paying to fix it constantly.

Small but reliable, bad in the snow good for short commutes.
It is too small and light. I also have to get tie rods replaced yearly which is annoying. It is not good in even the smallest amount of snow. It is good on gas and looks decent. The front seats are very small and if a large person where to sit in the front they would not be comfortable.

Overall, I love my little car!
I personally enjoy my car in many reasons. I love the look of it, the way it runs, the way its built, it is interior. If I had any complaints about it though, I would have to mention the turbo in it and the little space it has. The seems to run most of the vehicle itself, which causes many issues with the vehicle such as how it runs. As for space. When I first was searching for a vehicle, I was looking for something with a medium amount of space to it, at least enough for a good car load of groceries, but honestly a cart cull barely fits in my trunk and back seats together.

Decent reliable 4 cylinder car.
Vehicle did have a problem with a leaking engine gasket recently which was expensive. The performance is average for a 4 cylinder car, it has been reliable for 8 years now. The car is comfortable for its small sedan size. The features are lacking compared to newer vehicles today.

Chevy Sonic 2012 - Great mileage!
I love my car - it's shore and cute. It doesn't have a big trunk, but the backseat does fold down, so that helps. If you have a ton of stuff or equipment to haul, this may not be the car for you. If you're taller, you may be hitting the ceiling. It gets good mileage, which I love. It is about to hit 100,000 and has had minimal repair bills.

Chevy sonic 2012 car review.
My car currently is broken down because it is too short. Also having to roll down the windows by yourself is a pain sometimes. But my car runs nicely and it does not give me any problems unless I do not drive good. The inside is nice and some of the features in my car can come in handy sometimes.

Reliable vehicle for the price.
Decent size for how small it really is, haven't had any real problems but wear and tear, but a downside is it does not speed up well. It also does not have as great of gas mileage as advertised. I probably get average 24 mpg. Overall it is been a pretty reliable vehicle the past 8 years.

Quality car, great on gas, a few minor 'inconveniences'.
My car gets me where I need to go. It is great on gas and drives easily. A few 'inconveniences' are the manual windows, it takes a few minutes for the air for the heat to actually be warm (note the ac/heat is also really loud on its highest setting and it takes forever to reach the back seats), and there's no speakers in the back so if they want to hear the music it is a bit too loud in the front to talk.

Absolutely love the Chevrolet sonic.
Ever since I bought it in 2011 I absolutely love it. Mine is a manual and it handles really well, is fast to accelerate and turns easily. I love that it is easy to park in small spaces but has a lot of trunk space if you have the hatchback like me. It is comfortable enough for road trips imo. Has not had too many issues but have had to fix a couple things.

Steering wheel locks up but very comfortable.
The only issue I have with this vehicle is that occasionally the steering wheel gets stuck. It can be troublesome to deal with but it is easy enough to work around. It is a nice size and spacious on the inside. The seats have a great range of motion which is great to transport a variety of items.

Chevy sonic, spacious, reliable, all amazing.
I haven't really had any real problems. It is a smooth ride and very safe braking system. You can pack in the entire family for vacations, sports, outings, etc. And not have any worries. It comfortably fits 3 kids two adults and has plenty of room in the trunk. Has a good sound system as far as stock sound systems go. Take good care of it and it will take care of you. It is very reliable. I have yet to break down after a year.

2012 Chevy sonic hatchback - economy car with a big impact.
Good gas mileage, enjoy the digital dashboard, clunky transmission, easy maintenance, nice electronics, some rattles, comfortable seats. The ride is nice, but could use a little bit more suspension compliance. The electronics are easy to use and has nice sound especially when playing phone through Bluetooth feature. Lots of storage room. The car is easy to fix and generally easy on parts. The oil must be full synthetic, so that is a cost.

It has 10 airbags and is built with safety in mind so you don't have to compromise safety for size.
I like that my car gets good gas mileage, is fun to drive and has a good stereo system. I do not like that my car does not have as much power as I would expect from a 5-speed manual transmission when it comes to fast starts and driving on inclines. The lack of power hinders performance and since I live in an area with lots of hills and bluffs, it can be a challenge at times. I also do not like the shift indicator on the dashboard - it annoys me.

It's great on gas, but its not meant to be fast. So if you want a fast car.
With my sonic for a while there I was having problems with my car tire air pressure. My light was always coming on and I was filling them three times a week. I had to take it to the dealership to get the light turned off. Apparently it was just a faulty light. The performance of the car is at about a 4. It's not very fast but it's something that I need. Its reliable and great on gas. I also love how little and comfy it is. I can usually park wherever I want. It pretty much is an all around great car. It gets me from point A to point B.

Do not buy a Chevy sonic for city use.
My car has cost me alot of money in repairs. This model is not made for city driving. I have broken many sway bars due to potholes. Although it's a small car and great for parking in tiny spaces, it is not built for city driving. I would not recommend buying a Chevy sonic.

It feels like you are on a float when driving fast. I love it because it is small but is spacy in the inside. It has a huge trunk and everything to fix on it is very cheap. You wouldn't have to buy expensive parts or have to get it fixed every week. Its once a blue moon something goes wrong.

Grips the road good and maneuvers easily.
The gas tank is small and you only get twenty-four miles to the gallon, so you spend a lot of money on gas. The car is good on turns and you can maneuver very easily. There's not much space in the back seat of the car either, especially for people with long legs. The armrest for the driver is awesome and super handy, but I wish the passenger side had an arm's rest as well.

It has pretty nice rims, a pretty shiny blue color when it is washed.
The steering wheel shakes when I drive fast, engine problems, the car all together had a battery problem and died in the middle of me having to go to work. The remote start didn’t work for a while until I tried 5 times. But I figured out some of my problems with my car and I fixed it.

Almost similar to a Chevy Cruze. It for the most part is a pretty reliable car, there is automated lights, good ac, remote start. The few issues I had involved parts that needed replacing. I recently had a key fob break and to get it redone was a bit of a pain.

Good everyday commuter vehicle.
This vehicle is largely trouble free, but when I topped off the gas tank, it ruined an air sensor I had to replace. Not the best comfort on a long trip, but has very good mileage and a good sound system. On a rainy day the tires must be properly inflated or it feels like I might slide off the road.

2012 Chevy sonic ltz - review from a person who does not know about cars too much.
It is a great car. Reliable. It takes you from point a to point b in comfort. The window crank is a bit old school but I am pretty sure you can customize your car to fit your modern needs. It has an aux and everything I need to drive comfortably for a while. It needs to be looked at bit more frequently than I would like, but it is the car that fit my budget and needs at the time. You can always do better but you can definitely do worse with this car.

Cons outweigh the pros of the 2012 Chevy sonic.
Ever since buying this car, I have had nothing but problems with it. We have had to change the thermostat, transmission, and the battery, plus other issues, and it is only eight years old. My car does not have high miles on it, but yet still acts like an older car. While I do like the gas mileage that the car gets, and how compact the vehicle is, the cons have outweighed the pros for me. However, the car itself, for being a subcompact, is very comfortable. There is a decent amount of room in the vehicle, and I have fit 4 adults comfortably inside.

My Energy Efficient Vehicle.
I love my car. I have really not had any major problems other than a water pump. The mileage is fantastic with up to 45 on the highway. The gas usage is great and the fact that it is a stick shift helps. It has great safety features with several airbags located throughout the vehicle. The back is a little small, but has served me well in the past. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants a reliable, gas saving vehicle.

The silver surfer is a economic save
The car is too small there has been several issues with the engine as well as the oil pan has leaked. When it is very windy the car tends to sway because it is very light weight. Because the car is very lightweight it also gets stuck in the snow often even though it has four-wheel-drive. On the plus side the car is very compact making it easy to park in small spaces as well and not taking up much room in my driveway and garage. It is a great starter car for teens And is very dependable beyond the negative aspects.

Reliable daily driver low maintenance.
Not a lot of power but a very reliable vehicle to get back and forth to work. Thought it would be better on gas than it is but fits larger people than I thought it would. I really like that the back seat folds down for additional storage. Minimum amount of repairs needed other than maintenance for a daily driver. If more than one person in the vehicle then the windows will fog up. Always.

The surprisingly spacious and agile Chevrolet sonic.
The small size allows for easy maneuvering and parking in cities. The engine is not very powerful but the car can move quickly. Driving using the manumatic gear provides a feeling of more power. Though the car is small, it has a large storage capacity - the interior is almost deceptively large! I am able to transport relatively large loads once I put the back seats down.

I have had no problems, it constantly get great gas mileage(35-40 mpg), cool in summer, warm in winter, quiet inside, wipers are not the best but ok. I really like this car. I take it on my long trips, one tank of gas gets me 400 miles down the road, 12 gallon tank.

The Chevy Sonic in a Slightly Cracked Nutshell
Overall, this vehicle drives very well; it's acceleration and braking is smooth and quick, at least for the first several years of ownership and operation. It cannot however handle hitting curbs without affect to the transmission. It has great gas mileage and can become very roomy in the back by folding the seats down to make room for groceries. This is definitely a good vehicle for a single person's space needs.

Big things come in small packages for a great price.
My Chevrolet sonic lt with turbo is a great value when it comes to performance balanced with cost. Despite being rather small, there is a surprising amount of storage space available thanks to the hatchback design. Back seat passengers also find comfort with ample leg space. The mileage is also great averaging around 30 mpg. I have had this vehicle for about 5 years and would be hard pressed to let it go for another.

Spaciousness is amazing. Need thick tires if live in country and on gravel roads, they seem to pop easy if they are thin. Great gas mileage. Easy to change the oil and do simple repairs. Even after 8 years of having the car ac is nice and cold and only major thing is ball joints and brakes since I drive 500 miles weekly for work.

No problems yet, have owned it for about 7 months now. Not so comfortable for back seat passengers but not horrible. Can use Bluetooth and other hands free devices. Extremely reliable and has great performance. I only have to refill my tank about every 200 miles.

Insight on 2012 sonic lt 1.4.
I have had my car for about 3 years. I bought it with 15k miles on it and now it has a little over 60k. Recently I just replaced the valve cover due to a bad hesitation. Not to long ago I also had to replace the thermostat housing. It is still a very reliable car and gets great gas mileage.

Love this tiny car- it always gets me where I need to be and costs very little!
I love it! The tiny car is so easy to get around, so parking is obviously super easy, as is getting around in traffic. The gas mileage is also wonderful, and it usually costs me maxabout 35 dollars to completely fill my tank from almost empty. I do wish though that the windows weren't crank windows, but I do understand that this is required to make the door less clunky, at least that is what I have been told. Great first car overall, as I am 20 and have been driving this car for about 3 years.

I like my Chevrolet Sonic LTZ. It is a 2012 Sedan. It gets pretty good gas mileage around 28-29 MPG with its 1.8l engine. It also comes packed with options. Cruise Control, heated seats and mirrors, and Sirius radio.

Great car if you only keep for warranty period!
Was a decent car for the first couple years. Then had issues with overheating. Then blower motor went out so no air or heat. The blower motor is molded into the condenser unit and not intended for end user replacement. Now has front end issues. This is started at only 70, 000 miles. It was highway driven and well maintained.

I get good gas mileage with it.
When I first got the vehicle it was okay. As the years have gone on, I am starting to have more and more issues with it. When I get gas, it shakes when I start it back up. When I am driving and go over even the smallest bump, it makes a loud clunking noise. Sometimes the tires have traction issues.

The problems with the Chevy sonic.
I seem to be running into a lot of issues with the tires and the brakes and also it feels rough when I take turns. I am always driving slow because I get so nervous and I try to avoid the highway. My air conditioning also does not work and has not for a very long time so it is unbearable in the summer and it has manual windows.

I haven't had many problems with the car, all issues have been due to lack of maintenance on my part. The only part that went out that I could not have prevented with regular maintenance was the air intake hose. Other than that the car has given me very few issue.

The car is in my possession until I can get another car. I personally am into Hondas. Chevy's are small and compact. The space in them and small. I would not recommend for if you have children. It does have bt capability which is nice for traveling and needing the car to talk to you. Not the best on gas in my opinion.

The only problem I have with my car is that when I go to accelerate it take a minute to accelerate. The seats could be a little more comfortable but I am not complaining too much. I want to wrap my car and make it maroon. As of right now it is just black and that is too plain for me.

2012 Chevy sonic hatchback.
Overall, I love my Chevy sonic dearly. It is the perfect car for a college girl with an ample amount of room (despite how small it may look). I have the Chevy sonic hatchback and when moving to my apartment I loaded everything but my mattress and bed frame into my little car and moved it all in just 1 move! My only issue with my car is that it has a shifting issue where it either cannot get passed a certain shift level or it jumps high up but I have gotten used to it and still would recommend this car to anyone!

The Chevrolet Sonic is a small, but versatile car
The Chevrolet Sonic is good on gas, and has very few issues. However, I wish it was a little bit bigger and had more ground clearance. The front can sometimes scrape the ground if the driveway is too angled.

Know about owner manual
The Sonic is okay, better than ford and Dodge car or Nissan versa impacts cars. Can go 27 miles per gallon, driving like a van with arm's rest. Transmission last 141k without any services, skipped gears but still can drive for months, if i fellow owners manual could me more, i put another rebuild Transmission 30k, go again the next 100 k , the small car needs to replace, alternators,the fan,thermostat,end tied rod, struts, battery, break, water pump, radiator, are normally,every 100k, any cars anyway.

2012 Chevy sonic ltz review.
I love this car but one of the problems I had was one winter my rear defrost shattered my back windshield. I had my transmission go out. My heated seats work half the time. But it is a great car for a road trip. Great with friends. And I wouldn't give the car up for anything.

My Chevy sonic is just like sonic the hedgehog.
So far I love my car. I just got it a few weeks ago. It drives great, low on miles, and even though it is compact it is also very spacious. It runs great on gas. The trunk space is immaculate. I love music so the speakers work great. It also came with a 3 month subscription to XM.

Chevrolet sonic car review.
There have been nothing but problems with this vehicle since I bought it. I have had to replace the tires, windshield, problems with brakes, heating and air. It is small and not comfortable for trips or putting much in the trunk. Also, the plug for charging my phone has never worked. Not very reliable car.

The stick shift gets stuck quite often.
The stick shift broke during the third year of owning it. Other than that it runs pretty well. The car has some trouble shifting gears no matter the terrain. Hit a deer once and the car didn't even get a dent. Overall a decent car despite its few problems.

Small, dependable car: sonic hatchback.
Not a lot of features. Not even cruise control. However I do love the gas tank. It only costs around $20 bucks to fill it up. Only have to get gas once every two weeks maybe sooner depending if I am driving more. Parking is always great because I can fit into tight places and never have to deal with being too big to fit between two cars.

Our getaway car: it is very spacious with enough room for traveling.
Love the sonic it is very comfortable, easy to get in an out of. Comfortable seating and adjustable seating. Air and heat works great! Heats and cools quickly. Trunk opens from the inside. Spacious trunk. We have never had problems with the sonic. Regular oil changes and air filters. Great gas mileage according to my husband. He bought the car with me in mind. We like to take time to get away when we can and it's a wonder! You don't really realize the car as it is smooth sailing. On the interstate or highway. It handles quick changes if necessary even in town. It's the best car we have ever owned and definitely consider buying another one next time.

The shapes of my vehicle and the interior design is awesome.
My vehicle is a Chevrolet so nice lady 2012 model. I love the interior of my car, it is very comfortable and it rides smoothly. Also it comes with a lot of features. The stereo system is ideal and fits my preference. Inside my car is very spacious and the fuel usage is phenomenal.

My first car, my parents bought it for me as a surprise.
It gets me to and from work. It is got front wheel drive which is not good in Colorado but here in Texas it is okay. Windows are all new tires are new too. Great gas mileage. 115,000. New lights. I have had it for almost 5 years and it is gotten me all the way to Texas many times. Also it is gone to New Orleans.

Great all around car for a small family!
Super reliable! It is very fuel efficient and there haven't been any problems so far. The car is perfect for a small family. It is comfortable, with wonderful leg room up front. The backseat is a little cramped when full with adults, but it is perfect for kids. There is plenty of trunk space which makes going on small trips even easier. The ac and heat works like a dream, sometimes almost too well.

Vehicle is not worth the hassle.
Check engine light always comes on but when it is hooked to a computer nothing shows as wrong. Everything about the engine cooling system has been replaced and when it is one part that needs replaced you have to buy the whole system because one part is in this vehicle is a three in one. So when a valve needed replaced we had to pay 900 dollars to replace it. Car does well on gas but that is about all the positive things I can say about it.

Sonic power Chevy's rule.
My car is great it performed great is comfortable good on gas maintenance free takes long road trips well never had any problem out of this car at all it is very economic. Nice looking lil car good space for passengers and good size trunk for cargo. Up to date interior as well.

Steady and reliable for a first time car owner.
My car is super reliable, allowing me to put long miles on it (road trips, moving cross country, etc.. ). However, I wish there was more space in the trunk. The ceiling height of the trunk is short, making it hard to put items in the back, when the back seat is folded down. The car itself also shifts weird. You get use to it, but it feels as though you are trying a standard when really it is an automatic. Overall, it gets me from point A to B with little to no problems.

My Chevy sonic is still a reliable little car.
I have had my car for 5 years now and have had very little car problems! It still runs good! It is a small compact car that is comfortable for a petite lady my size but still has decent room for family and friends to ride along. My engine and transmission is still great!
