217,000 miles. Manual transmission is very fun and feels capable. I drive lots of highway at 75-80 mph and get around 38mpg. I do wish the gas tank was bigger. I change the oil with Walmart-grade synthetic every 5K. Changed spark plugs and coolant at 100K, manual transmission fluid at 190k because first gear was feeling sticky - resolved issue. Overall, I love this car. I’ve hauled 500 lbs of rock in it dozens of times back from the landscaping store. This vehicle is more capable than it looks

Good basic car for someone who is looking for a great 1st car.
My car gets great gas mileage especially on the highway. Acceleration is ok, could be better. Lots of storage in the back. Seats are comfortable. Since I have the base model it does not have all the bells and whistles. Heat works great as the air conditioning.

My Chevy spark is easy to park.
I love my spark. I have not had any major problems with it. It is great on gas and mileage. It is amazingly easy to park, and with the way people park today it is a necessity. It is a little car, but very comfortable, plenty of room on the inside, and when I am inside driving I don't feel like I am in a small vehicle. I would highly recommend this vehicle.

Needs a stronger motor and the ac should not diminish the strength.
The motor is not to strong and the ac diminish the strength of the car even more. I love the size and all but I would like the car to be stronger to travel and use the ac without restrictions. The color is great and interiors as well. I would like a strong car that it is very compact at the same time. I had no issues that I need to fix. The back seat have the cup holders in the middle, that space can be used for another passenger.

Small car that's great on gas and surprisingly spacious on the inside.
Great car that gets a lot of looks. I save a lot on gas, and can usually fill up $17-$20 when on empty. The car itself looks small from the outside but is very spacious in the inside. It is a hatchback and even the thought space is smaller than any over car I've had, trunk wise, it's really not that bad. I can comfortably fit a car seat and still have space for someone to sit in the back.

Although it is small, it is configuration allows for transporting large items.
I love the gas mileage of my car. It does not cost me a lot and gets me pretty far. The downside is that it accelerates poorly and almost stalls when hit the gas.

Great little car for someone just starting out.
It has had quite a few recalls but it is spacious and gets me from a to b. It is much bigger on the inside than it looks. Good on gas but not good in the snow. The tank for the water pump cracked earlier this year. Costs over $300 to fix. The trunk is not very big.

A great roomy car for this tall lady!
My spark gets great gas mileage, I can get 34 mpg in the city and have gotten well over 40 mpg on the highway. Even though it is a small car it is very roomy inside. I am 5 foot 10 and can drive it comfortably. It is not a powerful car which is to be expected but it serves me well. I bought it brand new and intend to keep it for many years. If I do decide to purchase a new car I would definitely look at another spark.

Not much trouble, runs smoothly, some maintenance from time to time but perfect shape. Very comfortable seating, lovely look to it. Runs for miles and miles, comfy for long drives. Engine messes up sometimes but its old so it's understandable. Have had it for the longest time.

The spark has great gas mileage that saves me a lot of money.
I have a 2014 Chevy spark that is a manual. It gets great gas mileage, I usually fill it up every two weeks for roughly $20. That includes traveling to and from work which is twenty minutes away as well as all occasional trips to the grocery store and to family and friends who live 30-45 minutes away. It is a bright yellow color which most people wouldn't be a fan of but at least I know that I am seen when I am out on the road.

It is a good car. Very reliable. The car gets. Great gas mileage. I average around 40 mpg. My only complaint is the power. It doesn't have a lot of get up.
If you commute long distances this car is great on gas however it only has an 8 gallon tank so you will still only get about 300 miles per tank.

Chevy spark great on gas!
My car is very reliable. I did have to replace the transmission at 130000 but since then I have not had any major problems. Only routine maintenance. My car almost has 200k miles on it and I still trust it to do road trips. It is not the best car for families as it is tiny, it is great on gas. I live 45 minutes from my job so I need something good on gas.

Chevy spark: the commuter car.
The Chevy spark is a reliable car with great gas mileage. It is the perfect size for a commuter or student. I love it is ability to fit into almost any parking space with ease. The car does not pick up speed as fast as others, but it has given me no problems thus far. The 2014 model has a great radio with Bluetooth capabilities. The only thing I wish the car featured is a backup camera, but with the size of the vehicle it is not necessary.

The spark in my life. I love the boxy design and ease of parking.
My spark is very reliable. It's very cost efficient. Get good gas mileage. I have had very few problems other than normal wear and tear. Great car if you want a fuel efficient vehicle for everyday usage. Have' tried no further than 200 miles distance (100 miles both ways) but it was great. Made it on a tank of gas with some to spare.

A good college car, great gas mileage.
Easily swerves in rain and snow. The reliability of the car is great, never breaks down. Always easy fixes and do it yourself jobs. Can be difficult to find oil changing parts. I have a very basic car but the a/c works and the power windows have no issue. Great gas mileage, but without cruise control can get tiring in a small car.
accountCircle Will K on March 3, 2021
The car is sleek and surprisingly safe in the case of an accident.
A Chevy Spark gets quality gas mileage and would make a great short commute vehicle. If your commute is anything greater than 15 miles in one direction then the car may not be for you. The car is extremely lacking in power, the frame of the car causes the tires to wear down extremely quickly. The car could be improved with changes to the frame.

Excellent commuting vehicle.
Not a lot of comfort in seats for long drives. Great gas mileage for commuting. There is a lot of road noise and is very noisy, not smooth at all. I haven't had a trouble with the mechanics of the car and it is at 80,000 miles. I highly recommend the green color and it matches the inside plastic giving a nice feel.

Amazing commuter car, especially for city driving.
There has been multiple recalls already and I have had to get the transmission switched out. Luckily, it was still under warranty. But as a result, I probably will not get a car model that is so new. My 2014 spark is the second year of the model and they still have kinks to sort out.

Chevy Spark is perfect for a new driver
The Chevy spark is an affordable starter car. A student is the perfect fit for this vehicle as it does lack some features. It's very basic and has little to no power for getting quick speed. The 2019 model may be much improved but the earlier years seem to have a hard time with cooling in the summer.

The Chevy spark: grate on gas but not for a large family.
Amazing on gas. Comfort is good. Style is nice. Aux cord ability and phone connections. Down see it sometimes does not speed up fast enough. If you are larger is could be a tight squeeze. Also it only seats 4 max. Two in the front and two in the back. However it does have a hatchback and a pretty spacious trunk in lue of the cars size.

2014 Chevrolet spark 4 door.
Does not accelerate fast enough. It has good gas mileage, comfortable, and reliable. It has four doors, cruise control, blue interior, leather seats, and light blue on outside. The only problem it is small and does not have very much room. It is a great car to commute with.

The Chevy that will put the spark back into your life!
This is by far the favorite out of all the cars I have ever owned. She gets great gas mileage, turns sharp corners with no problem, fits into tight spaces. Easy to maneuver and just a heck of a lot of fun to drive. Imagine driving a street legal go kart. That's what this car feels like. Also, it can accommodate tall people despite her tiny appearance. My six foot nine inch tall father drives it with ease and has mentioned that he too quite enjoyed the ride.

Great city parker, moves quickly, but you feel the every bump in the road.
This is little car is awesome. It makes city parking easy. It does pretty well on long rides too. I absolutely love the 'infotainment.' it is more compatible with iPhone connectivity than android phones. There were a lot of recall on parts for this car, but the dealership took care of them for free. It is very comfortable ride, you if your sitting in the back you can feel every bump.

Small but cute car, not very zippy!
It's comfortable for the front passenger. My children don't enjoy it on long car rides. There's not enough room for a big grocery shopping expedition unless you can use the backseat to put groceries. Great on gas! Not a lot of horsepower but I don't need much. Fits my needs for now.

The gas mileage is amazing.
The Chevy spark is great. It does not really have any 'get up and go' but it is fun to drive. Mine is a manual transmission. The car like small but is incredibly roomy on the inside. I have the very basic spark. So I do not have the touch screen rap or the option for Bluetooth. It does come with OnStar but I do not have a subscription. The Chevy spark gets phenomenal gas mileage. I filled up the tank with $22 the days ago and it is still got over 3/4 of a tank of gas. I am a vertically challenged person so this really is a great car. It is big and small at the same time. My husband has no problem with space while driving or riding.

It is has been a really nice car. The gas mileage is great and it is actually a very roomy vehicle. I also really liked that the gas pump is on the driver. The worst thing about this car is when you get on the highway you will blow all over the place. Overall it is pretty durable and affordable.

My car saves so much on gas and I love it. It is one of the main reasons why I picked this car. My job is about 30 miles from my home and I only have to put in gas once every week. I always manage to maintain a full tank and have never spent more than $15 on gas. Definitely worth the buy and I do not have any major problems with it. Color of car is called lemonade.
Chevy sparks are small 4 door vehicles that run great, get good gas mileage, and are low maintenance. They are comfortable on long trips and have more cargo space than one might think. Great car for small families, or anyone who loves the compact design. The only downside is a blind spot when backing out of a parking spot from the back door design.

It's a yellow compact car which was really nice when I was single but not that I am expecting a baby it feels a little too small. It gets good gas mileage but has a hard timing reaching higher speeds quickly and the air vents are small. I wish you could connect more apps to it.

A great fun car for driving.
It is a great car for the city and short car trips. It does amazing on gas and it is fun to drive and it can pack a lot for a small car. Granted it is not minivan level, but a good amount of stuff! It is not the fastest car around and it takes a few seconds to get up to highway speed, but it is a great car.

Everyone should have one We could fit 2 sparks in one parking space.
I have been told it looks like a skate on 4 wheels that was my favorite comment from someone. Other than the back thing that locks the window breaking 3 times we have had no problems with the car at all. I wish it had power seats as it is a real pain in the rear end when someone drives the car and then I get in it I wish there where some more colors like maroon, dark blue, maybe just 2 inches wider and lastly a ski rack on the top that does not whistle while you drive. Overall love it and we are buying a new one for us and giving ours to our daughter.

The engine is small so don't expect power from the vehicle.
Because my vehicle is small, the engine is small. It sometimes has issues accelerating. It is loud. The battery had to be replaced. However, this past summer, a car rain a red light and hit me, and although my car had a decent amount of repairs, I was completely unscathed. I did not even feel the impact. It performed incredibly well. In addition, it is small so it handles well.

Great car on the surface; a nightmare under the hood.
The spark is a nice vehicle. Very roomy for its size, and very good on gas. I enjoyed it for a short while and was really glad I got a warranty on it. I bought it with only 30k miles on it and maybe 6 months and 4k miles later? The transmission goes out. Without the warranty it would've totaled and I would've been without a car and stuck with that loan after just 6 short months! It didn't keep its value well either. It sold for 7k in 2018, but is only worth 3k now in pristine condition, so if you financed you are more than likely upside down. There's also the issue of it shaking a lot anytime you crank up speed on the highway. Pushing 70 is a bit difficult but then weirdly you can go 90 and not feel it. This is truly a car made for a very petite women who likes to drive a maximum of 45 on their way to the grocery store. My dad made me buy this car because I am his baby girl... I am literally trying to fix it and trade it in for a down payment on a mustang and tell him somehow the car died. Yes, it was so bad I decided to buy a mustang.

Urban Driving Made Easier
This car is a very reliable car for a college student, like myself, that goes to school on an urban campus. The gas mileage is great, I usually spend less than $23 every time I go to fill up my car, and the gas lasts for over a week between driving around campus and Downtown Indianapolis. The size of the car makes it very easy to park, too. Living in the city requires parallel parking quite often, but this is a small challenge for this car. Though the car is small, there is still enough room to seat four people comfortably, and enough space to pack quite a bit of stuff, like groceries. There was no trouble driving it in the winter or during severe weather. I love this car and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great car for urban living.

You do not get floor mats as standard equipment, and the control panel is full of options that are hard to learn.
It is compact and easy to park in crowded suburban situations. The seats are hard as a rock & would be uncomfortable for a long trip. (But a person of average height could use cushions - I can't). It is slow to take off from a standing stop, particularly uphill, due to an unwillingness to shift down, but it is pretty zippy once it gets up to 15 or 20 mph.

It is eco friendly and comes in cute colors.
It gets great gas mileage and it is eco friendly and it is small and compact and comes in cute colors and is just an overall great car.

Power everything, Bluetooth, computerized, 36 mpg in town and 40 on the highway.
I have a 2014 Chevy sparks. It is comes with power everything, including a computerized dashboard and Bluetooth. This vehicle lets you know everything from low oil to low tire pressure. It gets on average 36 mpg in the city and close to 40 mpg on the highway. The only problem I have had with this vehicle is that my key broke one time. With the car being computerized it completely shut down and would not start. The bad thing about it is I had to get a whole new key which cost me about $130. The good thing about it is that this ensures that my vehicle cannot be stolen. All in all I love the car.

Very colorful and bright and small.
Very small, good on gas. Basic model so no automatic locks. Sits 4 people. My transmission did go out within 1-2 years but was covered and replaced. Very inexpensive gas and lasts for a while. Reliable, perfect for a teenage girl who does not like big cars.

Great on gas and great in tight spaces.
The Chevy spark is really great if you are trying to save on gas. I fill up maybe twice a month, and I only spend about $15 to $16 dollars each time. With all of my previous cars, I would have to fill up more than that and spend more. The spark is also really good for tight spaces, so if you live somewhere with smaller lanes, compact parking spaces, or parking that is a bit tight, the spark is great! It fits almost anywhere.

Great little car, if you can keep the coolant in.
The spark ls is a great all around car. It is perfect for driving in the city, and it is small size makes it perfect for narrow streets and tiny parking spaces. Of course, it has great gas mileage. The main issue experienced with the car is the coolant reservoir. The reservoir has a tendency to crack at the seam and needs to be replaced periodically. One thing of note is that the reservoir has somewhat of a flimsy mounting which could lead to excessive vibration.

Tiny, lightweight car with awesome gas mileage! I love this car!
I love the size and feel of the car. It has great gas mileage and never costs more than $20 to fill the tank. It has been very reliable; I have driven it all around the country. It is very light, so you can feel the wind blow it and hear the road outside, but I love it though. It also has big windows!
accountCircle Natalie C on August 27, 2020
Great value for the price!
This car is fantastic. It had a few problems when I first purchased it, but most of the repairs were covered by Chevy. One thing that I didn't like was that I have had to replace my passenger side visor twice and my driver's side visor once which I annoying an more expensive than you would think.
accountCircle Teresa M on August 27, 2020
The right vehicle for me.
Good size for a average size person. Hatchback and sits just high enough. Good mileage. Was looking at a used car, this had low mileage when I purchased it almost 4 years ago. Reliable, especially for an older person. Rides good on the highway. Clean, was well taken care of.
accountCircle Ben U on August 24, 2020
It's a defensive car. Easy to react to other's mistakes, but not enough power to be reckless.
I like how maneuverable it is. I'm disappointed with the low power output, especially when climbing an incline. The gas mileage is good but could be better. It's spacious.
accountCircle Josie R on August 22, 2020
The 2014 Chevy spark is a compact, vibrantly colored, gas efficient car.
This vehicle is a great car for young drivers. It safe and cost efficient as far as gas is concerned. It comes in a variety of vibrant, and unique colors. As well as has plenty of space for driver and 3 others. It drives smooth as well. The only con that I have found so far is that it does not have cruise control, which can be a bit inconvenient for long road trips.
accountCircle Tanya D on August 20, 2020
The gas mileage is superior, I can fill the tank for under $25.
I like that my vehicle gets great gas mileage, and that it is fairly compact which allows me to park in tight spaces. I do not love that the engine is not too powerful, so it usually takes a moment to get up to speed on the highway. I also do not like that the locks are analog and there is no cd player, but I like that there is an auxiliary jack.

2014 Chevy spark 2lt great car for the money!
There's been a few recall issues. Seems like a lot of people have had the same problems with the radiator container leaking the overfill container my electric windows quit my door locks of quit working right. I like the overall performance of the car though it is a nice little town car but you wouldn't want to use it in a big city or to drive on long distances. I would buy another one I think it is a good car for the money.
accountCircle Tracy A on August 17, 2020
Great gas mileage, very dependable, have had zero issues.
I love that I get great gas mileage in my car. It is really small, so I fit into any parking space, it does have 4 door, so for people fit pretty good. Only down part of the car it that it has no trunk, so it makes grocery shopping a little difficult
accountCircle Kristin R on August 17, 2020
It is like a smart car on steroids.
The trunk is very small and the back seats do not lay down flat. The blind spots are a pain to see because of the awkward shaped windows. Because of the size of the car and the tires, it is scary to drive in high winds or snow. The gas mileage is great though.
accountCircle Heather B on August 14, 2020
Never get in an accident you will not survive or your car will easily be totaled.
Transmission skips, gets thrown out of line easy, not safe for highway driving and smallest tap causes huge dent. Do not buy.

Chevy lights a spark with this car!
Gas mileage is amazing and allows me to avoid filling up so often. My gas prices are fairly cheap and I have had minimum problems with any issues. The only problem is maybe the acceleration is limited. I have been told before I purchased that the car is loud when it drives but that is definitely not the case.
accountCircle Mary L on August 7, 2020
I didn't want it. I wanted something that was better for the snow and shopping.
I don't like the 4 cylinder engine, that it doesn't have power locks, a CD player or USB port. I hate it during the winter.
accountCircle Mikayla S on August 4, 2020
Great commuter with little power.
The 2014 Chevy spark is a fun little car to drive around, it is a perfect commuter vehicle with its 30 to 35 miles per gallon range, and it is compact size. The hatchback allows for little trunk space, but the back seats do you fold down for more space. The roof rack also increases its ability to move items. I have had constant issues with the air conditioning, and in less than six years I have replaced it twice. Other than that, maintenance is very low on masks vehicle, and most fixes are fairly inexpensive.

Amazing car in such a little package.
Have only owned it a couple of months and haven't had any problems but love it and the fact it only takes ten dollars to fill it up. I love that it's easy to drive and easy to park. It comes in a variety of colors. It's great for single people and gets great gas mileage.

Chevrolet Spark - Average small compact car
It is a very reliable vehicle. The main issue I have had is the hatchback stopped working after only having it a few months. If you need a vehicle for just getting to work and back, it is an awesome auto. It also has fantastic gas mileage. I have the basic model so I miss having auto locks and alarm. In my opinion, I spent too much money on mine. Shop around and get a good deal.
accountCircle Kailyn M on July 28, 2020
Very good car, but I hate front wheel drive.
Overall, it is a really good car. My only problem is the front wheel drive, it is great when braking but terrible when trying to start back up after stopping. I love how easy it is to drive, because it is such a small vehicle. I love how I can conveniently park in small spaces. I love how it does not cost me as much to fill my tank.
accountCircle Melody M on July 12, 2020
Great on gas mileage and small for parking
I like the fuel economy and the size for parking. It's great for getting around town. The only drawback is the shocks. The car is low to the ground and you feel all the bumps and holes in the road.
accountCircle Amy D on July 7, 2020

My spark is a cute and reliable car that could be great for first time drivers!
I love my spark! My vehicle is reliable. I have had a handful of problems over the last 2 years of having the car. Everything has to be specially order as well because my car is so small (for example, the battery). I also find that when I run the a/c, my car has trouble going. However, I feel like these are just normal maintenance issues that could be avoided with proper care, like routine oil changes and keeping the fluids full. Other than that, I love the style of my car and it is very comfortable. I especially love how sleek and modern the dashboard looks! The speakers and AUX cord is extremely helpful for long trips and super convenient for playing your own tunes, which is something I always appreciate in a car. Also being a commuter myself, you cannot beat the gas mileage I get! The car drives very well and though it is tiny, it packs a good punch. You would think that because it is so small it would be crowded on the inside, however, it is actually pretty roomy. I am tall myself and I have no issues fitting in it comfortably. The seats in the back go down as well, which makes moving things easy and makes for a lot more room than you would think. I think my car is great for young adults because it is easy to maintain, is great on gas mileage, could be use for daily or commuter use, and most importantly, extremely attractive.
accountCircle Frank C on July 5, 2020
The spark is the compact way to go.
The only real issue I have is the get up and go power. With a 85 hp engine it takes a moment to get up to highway speed. However, it's great on gas. I have Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio and the on board electronic dash is cool. It handles well but can get shaky above 70 mph . I enjoy the comfort of the seats and I have just enough space in the rear compartment to store groceries.

Currently it will not downshift. Goes dead in 1st. Very dangerous!!!
At 83,000 Miles my 2014 Chevrolet spark engine went out. I happened to be in Florida and greenacres AutoNation Chevrolet instead of replacing the motor they rebuilt the motor. They were very friendly very helpful in providing me with the rental; however, this month I have the problems of the gears not shifting out down and the RPMs going all the way to 7 or 8 RPMs to get it to even go forward if you downshift it goes dead. Very dangerous for me! My 5 year warranty was up August 6th of 2019 this happened just a few weeks after my warranty; however, I'm concerned that rebuilding the motor instead of replacing the motor has something to do with it. I've called the service manager repeatedly and love messages at the dealership that rebuild my engine. I have yet to get a call back. Not sure I've googled the downshifting problem there's video on YouTube there's a lot of complaints no one is getting any resolution. I cannot seem to find an accurate alternative dispute resolution phone number or address. I have really really enjoyed my little spark 2014 it is excellent on gas fairly comfortable great for travel, and surprising when you let down the back seats how much you can get into the little car when it looks like a two-door. I'm on a fixed budget teacher retirement disability that's very important to me. I bought it brand new it never gave me any problems until this last year of course! The last year on the 5-year powertrain warranty. If anybody has experience these problems with downshifting also the clutch went out completely I have driven my car very frugally trying to make it last. [Personally Identifying Information Removed]]

Good car. It fits my needs for short work commute,
Great gas mileage. Small but sits higher up, not like sitting on ground. Aluminum rims do make tires lose pressure often. Is great in snow, have not had any problems with it so far. Black trim around doors wrinkles a bit, but other than that I love it.
