200k and counting
Our 2001 Tahoe LT recently hit 200k and overall it has been a solid, reliable rig for us. The only major maintenance it has needed was when the front differential had to be replaced. It started grinding and howling when in 4wd. Apparently, this is a common failure. Luckily the local junkyard had a good unit in stock. $300 and a couple hours later and it was good as new. The interior, specifically the seats, has seen better days, but again this is typical of these models. The factory seat leather(?) material is poor quality and just doesn't hold up very well. Other than that, it is still mechanically sound and dead reliable day in and day out.

Yes dependable good running car. Has 275,000 miles and no mechanical problems. Also has plenty of seating for all of my children. Never left me stranded

I have loved my Tahoe! We've had a little problem with the transmission but it does have 150,000 miles on it so that’s to be expected. Really great family vehicle.

Yes, this has been a very reliable vehicle. It has never had major repairs, only a few minor repairs. I love the look of the Tahoe inside and out. It’s a comfortable vehicle too.

No problems except ac doesn't currently work. Heat works excellent though. Never had it broke down in over 2 years of ownership and has almost 300,000 miles

I haven't had too many problems, just normal wear and tear for a vehicle that age. We've never had to do major mechanical work, the most that was done is new valve cover gaskets.

When I bought the Tahoe in 2002 I paid $28,000. It has been a great value. It has had only minor repairs and no major repairs.

We paid less than $3000.00 for it, 2 years ago. The 4 wheel drive still works in it, that alone makes it a good selling point. I feel what I paid for my truck has been well worth what was paid for it
