The 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was made cheap.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

First of all, looking at the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS, it looks like a really nice and neat SUV. It is very comfortable inside. The features it has are good. It has things like, air vents in the back along with controls for the air and radio, cruise control, controls for stereo on the steering wheel, controls for information on the vehicle (gas, mpg, oil life, etc) on the steering wheel. The seats are very comfortable, but I have a complaint about the back seat, there is not much room in the middle seat with two carseats back there. The air inside of the vehicle blows very good. There seems to be a few problems with this vehicle. The wiring is unpredictable. Our rear parking light won't work so it can't pass emissions until that is fixed. And sometimes the gauges will just go crazy. Also, the driver door key whole won't work. And the big one! Sometimes the radio and all gauges will go out while driving or parked. The only way to fix it is to open the trunk and take off the panel on the inside of the trunk lid and mess with the wires until the stereo turns on. And the trunk will not lock anymore. This vehicle kind of feels like it was made cheap. It has needed a new transmission replaced, which actually was not too hard to replace. But overall I am not a huge fan of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS.

Reliable vehicle with great cargo and towing capabilities

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

I find the seats very comfortable. I like the dual air control so that the driver can be as comfortable as needed to drive safely without compromising the comfort of others in the car. I like the huge cargo space and that the seats fold down flat for hauling even bigger things. We added a tow kit to ours and the vehicle is strong enough to pull even a camper. The only thing I don't like is the seat belt placement. Somehow the rear seatbelts cut into our necks. It doesn't matter if you're a kid or an adult; this still happens. This car is also too tight to fit more than 4 people comfortably. We have a 4, 10, and 12 year old and it is very uncomfortable when they all have to sit in the back seat together. That factor alone will likely lead to us selling it in the near future. It does not have all the newer features like GPS or backup sensors. But none of those things have proved necessary for our needs. We prefer more basic models than those with all kinds of bells and whistles to distract you. But otherwise, this car has been reliable and always met all of our needs.

Beautiful colors and very efficient. Lots of room.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

The Chevrolet trailblazer has been a really terrific vehicle. It has not given us any trouble at all. It gets really good gas mileage and the performance is amazing. The interior is beautifully done and matches the exterior perfectly. There have been no real problems other than, normal wear and tear. It has a lot of room inside room for the whole family to sit comfortably. I absolutely would own another one without question. The newer one is even more beautiful and efficient. Comes in an abundance of colors.

Trailblazer is safe and comfortable but has TERRIBLE gas mileage.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

This was a great first car for me. It has been reliable, safe, and driven me to many places. It is also comfortable. However, right before it hit 100,000 miles, it really started going downhill. I have had to replace the transmission, brakes, and other similar things. Lastly, my biggest complaint is gas mileage the car gets. It is the most frustrating thing about the car. I spend more money on gas than anything else, filling up at least once a week even if I am not traveling.

2005 Chevy trailblazer is still blazing trails to day

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

I love how roomy this vehicle is and it has air conditioning vents that blow in the back that really keep the back passengers cool. It's a 2005 model and a have a had any real problems out of it except for the linkage we had to have that fixed. I live in South Georgia for the fact the air conditioning still blows cold is a wonderful plus it doesn't get very good gas mileage But it's an older larger vehicle so what do you expect

The four wheel drive and transmission are quite tough

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My trailblazer really eats gas bad! However I love the 4 wheel drive in the winter. It seems at times the electrical system is shorting out but it has 287 thousand miles on it as of now and it keeps going so that makes me happy. I also believe the transmission is going out but it is a very tough transmission! All in all I'm happy with my purchase of this vehicle and its paid for itself and some.

Good running late model vehicle with reliability.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

This vehicle has been very good to me. I haven't had any major issue with the SUV, just normal maintenance and some minor wear and tear. The only thing that I have an issue with is that if you live anywhere that there is snow or ice you need to buy the model with 4 wheel drive. This SUV gets good gas mileage for it being a larger vehicle. All in all this car is pretty good.

Let the Adventures Begin..

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

I love my Trailblazer and am sad Chevy no longer makes this model. This car has never let me down and continues to be a solid performer. This vehicle is the perfect size for tailgating and taking weekends away with the family. The Chevy Trailblazer is a comfortable ride for a family of four and has enough entertainment features to keep everyone occupied during the drive.

An SUV for any situation or terrain.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My Chevrolet trailblazer has been pretty reliable. It rides smooth and has a lot of space on the inside. If you can keep up the maintenance on this vehicle you won't have any problems with it. For a bigger vehicle it is awesome on gas, local and highway. Trunk space isn't an issue either. All in all, I think the Chevy trailblazer is a reliable all purpose SUV.

An unknown bad transmission rebuilt.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

The vehicle has been good other than a failed rebuilt transmission. It was purchased with 103k in 2014 and transmission failed one while coming back from a job and had to be towed home. After the transmission was rebuilt under warranty, the transmission failed yet again requiring it to be towed. The other issues were wear and tear problems.

- Shane P

My trailblazer is still awesome at almost 15 years old

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

I love my trailblazer. Obviously it's close to 15 years old but it has held up good. I do hate the fact that the trim on the exterior is all faded out and sloppy looking. I keep the paint and finish good so it looks new on the outside the exception of that. The engine and interior has held up over the years. It's a very reliable vehicle.

- Matthew S

Chevrolet trailblazer for the win!

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

It is always been a reliable car. This vehicle offers a ton of space for storage along with enough room for people to fit comfortably. It is stayed strong through many years of traveling and I have had no major issues with maintenance. Performance is top notch. Would highly recommend buying a trailblazer if given the opportunity!

- Sabrina E

Reliable and comfortable trailblazer.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

Trailblazer is great for large families. It is big inside and has 3rd row seating. The seats fold down to make it easier to transport items. I can tow things. Good engine. Rides smooth. Comfortable to ride in. Great for long trips. We have had other blazers and always liked them. But we did just have to replace the transmission.

- Amy H

Third row seating or cargo space is awesome!

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My trailblazer has lots of room for people and hauling items. All the seats fold down to give more hauling space. Handles well in snow. One downfall is that it is a gas hog. It is been reliable. After 170,000 miles, it does not burn oil. No major problems. Just the usual like wheel bearings, brakes, hoses wearing out from use.

- Barb A

Lot of issues. But what can you expect when you buy a 14 yr old car.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

Old and beat up. A lot of minor issues that I'm not worried about. Had a couple of large issues. Transmission went bad and needed replaced. The door handle needed replaced which was also pricey. Have had to put more money into it than I paid for. It is overall a comfortable vehicle. As a bigger guy, I do need a bigger vehicle.

- Fred T

My super amazingly dependable Chevy

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

This SUV is absolutely amazing for my family and I. We all have our own space so they can really stretch out their legs on long road trips. It drives perfectly on highway and on city streets. The steering handles so nicely. The suspension is great, feels like a cloud. Very good on gas mileage which was surprising!

- Stephanie S

My unfortunate Chevy of which I hope to never own again

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

Was a great car for about 60k miles. I did buy it new, and it did go above and beyond expected performance, however, it suddenly went into limp mode for no apparent reason. So it sat and rusted out, had to scrap it. Such a shame. Would not consider buying another one after owning this one secondhand.

- Brandon W

Beautiful piece of junk Chevrolet trailblazer.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

I hate my SUV. There is one problem after another. It is old and has almost 200,000 miles on it. There are not any great features. It is comfortable to sit in and when it works correctly, comfortable to drive. Overall, I have loved my SUV until recently when it is been one problem after another.

- Kristina R

The Joy and Comfort of a Chevy Trailblazer

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My vehicle is very reliable it gives the comfort for my family and I with two row seats and the back compartment very spacious. The automatic seats give the freedom to adjust as needed and having OnStar is a plus. The only thing I wish my car was a 4 wheel drive instead of a plain 2 wheel drive.

- Iris R

The older Chevy Trailblazers have electrical issues.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

The air conditioning and electrical has problems. I cannot remote lock car or open hatch well. The rear window wiper stopped working. Currently the transmission went out on it and I will have to buy a new used vehicle. I m disappointed it didn't last longer, only has 140,000 miles on it.

- Linda J

Chevy trailblazer pros and cons

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

Seems to use brakes up quickly. And has constant electrical problems like with the heater and AC. Other than that my vehicle is very dependable. Seems to get better gas mileage then I would have thought. All and all my trailblazer is good transportation and very room for my big family

- Mike P

Chevrolet trailblazer reliable.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My trailblazer has been a very dependable car. It is comfortable to drive for long periods. It has plenty of leg room and storage in back. I haven't really had any major problems with it. I wish it got better gas mileage. It is 4wd. I have not had any problems with it going in to 4wd.

- Kate N

Truck with a cab. Nice compromise.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

The storage bin between the two front seats the lock is broken. The front axles constantly whine: it's the power distribution system. It's a great midsize. Though the seats should fold down completely, not mostly. The cloth seats grab skirts! But it's a hauler: people, or luggage!

- Ann W

Very nice and fun vehicle

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

It's nice and nice looking and find good and easy on fuel and fun to drive and dependable and comfortable and I love it and has lots of storage space and is in very good shape and proud to own it and makes Chevrolet a very good line of automobiles and would buy a Chevrolet again.

- Donald E

It has needed some repair work due to its age.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

A couple of repair issues like damaged wheel bearings, and ball joints. Also needed a new battery this year with the cold weather. Performance has been well and unbeatable for that age of vehicle. The comfort is pretty standard for a SUV and only the most basic of features.

- William D

Chevy trailblazer- reliable and comfortable.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

It's been very reliable. Problems- check engine light comes on when it is cold outside. Took to shop- multiple times, they tell me it's fixed and light always comes back on. Abs light stays on. Other than that I have not had any issues with it. Very comfortable and sturdy.

- Tammy C

2005 Trailblazer, one of a kind

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My trailblazer is very reliable, currently it has 230,000 miles, oil change every 3000 miles etc, electrical windows, seats, power steering, cruise control, excellent heater, cloth seats, tinted window, am/FM radio DVD player, properly maintained its and excellent vehicle

- Elizabeth S

Great ride, wonderful performance no matter the age of the vehicle

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

I love the versatility of my vehicle. It's comfortable to drive and I can move a lot of things. It is old and needs things replaced but runs very reliably. I take many long trips and it is comfortable no matter how long the drive. I like how high up I am off the ground.

- Carolyn M

Even though it has over 150,000 miles on it. I rarely have any trouble from it.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

My blazer is the most reliable one so far. It even makes it through long trips across several states. Rarely have any trouble with it and easy on gas. I also enjoy the room that can is provided. I like it better than trucks because it's not to wide. And not to tall

- David A

Good vehicle and good customer service.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

Had a recall on it shortly after I bought where the electrical wires in the door started smoking and caught on fire but after bringing it back to Chevrolet the covered all costs and fixed it. Other than that not really any problems, drives nice and is comfortable.

- Noel T

It is very large for my family and we love it

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

Well there is not really any problems with my vehicle. At this time my vehicle is very dependable. The car door is a little weird but that's just about it. As well as the back passenger window does not roll down. Sometimes when it rains the brakes get loud.

- Ashley M

Chevy trailblazer is a hard working vehicle

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

It's a comfortable roomy ride. The performance has always been reliable I've towed horse trailers and hauled heavy stuff and it never let me down. However I feel like I'm constantly fixing something on it. But it is a older SUV and it's rusting pretty bad.

- Esther L

Chevy Trailblazer: longevity but no style

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS

A great thing about this car is that it has 260,000 miles on it and it's still driving pretty well. Other than longevity, this outdated car doesn't have many other good features. There is a lot of room in the car which has been convenient for our family.
