My traverse, good and bad.

My Chevy traverse is fun to drive. It is a SUV but drives like a car. It has a v6 engine and feels like enough power when accelerating to pass a car on the highway. I have even used it to pull a two horse trailer short distances. The traverse seats 8. The third row seat is a little short on leg room, but fine for kids. The seat configuration is easy to change, laying down the middle or third row to make room to haul things. The controls for the driver, such as lights, radio and ac/heat are user friendly. The sound system is adequate. The 2011 traverse offers OnStar service while is nice for hands free calling. I have had many mechanical problems with the 2011 traverse. The AWD system malfunctioned frequently, the timing chain had to be replaced, the power steering pump leaks. The dealer in my area was not adequate in finding a resolution to the steering pump issues. I did purchase an extended warranty which covered the AWD issue, but not the timing chain. When a headlight bulb burns out on the traverse, it needs to be replaced through the wheel well which makes it expensive. Although there are many thing I love about the traverse, I will look for something more mechanically reliable for my next vehicle.

I love my Chevy Traverse!

I love my vehicle, it's very roomy. It gets great gas mileage. It has the 3rd row seat in it. The seats fold down so you are able to load a lot of things. It has compartment storage in the floor. It comes with a great radio and sound system feature. It's very easy to drive. It's very comfortable to drive with the different seat settings. This vehicle is very reliable I have had no issues with it breaking down on me at all. I love how it shows digital features for the gas, mileage, oil and even the tire pressure. I think this is definitely a great family car. It works amazing for my family and I. The only problem I encountered with it is a small gas leak. It is minimal. The house just has to be replaced and bam that's it. Doesn't cost much at all. The engine works very well as does all of the other engine parts. I think people would be very happy if they bought a traverse I know that I am. If I ever got rid of the one I currently have I would definitely get another one. I think a few features that I would like if it had a sunroof, also heated seats would be amazing and phenomenal.

Traverse is reliable, but needs upgraded features to be comfortable for all.

I haven't had any huge problems with my traverse. It is very reliable. In the winter time the all wheel drive is awesome and allows me to get out of my snowy driveway as well as travel relatively safely on bad roads. I have a very basic model so I miss some of the bells and whistles (DVD players, etc. ) For the kids. I have a bench seat in the middle which is nice because it allows for more seating, but I miss the convenience of captain chairs to allow people to just walk through to the third row. Although my 7 year old daughter and niece can pretty easily move the bench with the release features to get into the back. With a bench seat in the middle there is significantly less leg room for adults who may sit in the third row. This summer I did have to repair my ac unit, which was expensive, but other than that I have only had to do routine maintenance.

- Des B

The driver seat has a lumbar adjustment button.

I love my Chevy traverse. It's like a miniature mini van. It drives so well and handles so well. My husband loves it too. Even my kiddos do too! They love the built in DVD feature. I love the third row and the fact the third row lays all the way down completely flat making it a perfect size trunk if needed. I can a good bit of stuff in my Chevy traverse that I have never been able to do before! I love the built in Bluetooth capability so I can be hands free while driving. It is all around comfortable. I also love the fact we have rear air conditioner so now I don't feel like my babies aren't getting enough air back their to them on these hot summer days! If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose my Chevy traverse!

Traverse is the family SUV.

Love the roominess and comfort ride of the traverse. Options are not overwhelming, but have great function. . Live the sirius radio, ease of use for the radio is great.. Wee travel 2-3 times a year to the Midwest, ans the storage room in rear is huge! We have hauled furniture cross country, and still had room for our family of 4 and luggage. We have had a few maintenance issues and engine thing that needed replaced. But with keeping on top of the suggested maintenance schedule, down time of vehicle is minimal. It has been a great car all around for us! Will be keeping this until it has its final legs!

Great first time mom vehicle!

I love my Chevy traverse! We debated between a few other and I am so happy we went with this one. We went with one that has the third row and bucket seats. When you fold the last row down the truck space is amazing! We also went with heated leather seats, great for winter time in Wisconsin!! This vehicle is great in snowy weather, I feel very safe driving. Only downfall, there is not much room in the third row for people to actually sit. You could fit someone comfortably in the middle seat of the third row as there is no seat in front of them since there are bucket seats.

- Samantha W

It is very spacious. Great for a family.

My Chevy Traverse is a great vehicles. It is very dependable and safe to drive. It is very spacious with third row seating that is great for the kids and all there stuff. The third row and middle captain seats fold down for a large cargo area. The vehicle has all the features that I enjoy like heated leather seats, power everything, and two sunroofs. It came with all weathertech flooring which is easy to clean. The all wheel drive works great in all weather conditions. The only thing I can say that I don't like is having to buy all four tires at one time.

- Tessa M

My traverse has been a great car with only a few downsides.

It has great seating space and ample storage space. Controls in the back for air and audio are a great feature. It has run reliably, though most of the problems that have arisen seem to be electrical. Some parts are very difficult to get to, meaning you may have to go to the dealership for some things you might normally do yourself. For example, I have always changed out the air filter on my vehicles. I tried it once with the traverse and never again. If you are comfortable removing other parts to gain access, then you'll be fine. I am just not into that.

- Steve M

8 years strong and still love it!

I have some rust starting on two doors from a prior repair that is failing but still love my car. It has leather, upgraded sound system and backup camera but no sunroof or navigation. I have had trouble with the tire sensors failing. One has failed and the other one is failing. I have under 130k miles and plan to drive it until it is no longer financially sensible to put more money into it. I would purchase this car again and may do that for my next purchase. It's a good ride and has plenty of room for a family of five.

- Tress D

I love my vehicle. The car is very reliable with regular maintenance.

I love my car. I purchased the SUV brand new right off the floor. Over years, I have experienced several minor problems with my vehicle. Some of the major problems are the airbag light, and sensors. I recently had to replace the mass air flow sensor which was an easy fix. I was able to fix it myself in a matter of 15 minutes. I also have a problem with the interior cracking on the armrest in the front seat. However, the vehicle is very reliable considering its age and mileage.

- Michelle P

Wow! Replacing a headlight.

This car is extremely easy to drive. It holds the road well and is not a walker. This car has lots of room for the family as well as plenty of cup holders. It needs to have more places to plug in phones and tablets. The exterior of the car is not built well. It does not hold up well. To replace a headlight requires taking it to a mechanic. The entire fender must be loosened and depending on the size of the mechanics hand may have to be removed entirely to replace the light.

- Sandy H

Amazing family car and every day driver.

I purchased my vehicle because we outgrew my previous vehicle. It is easy to drive and has held up very well in the 5 years I have owed it. With regular maintenance, we have not had a serious issue arise yet. The captain chairs in the middle really make it nice when my kids are getting in and out and helps prevent issues of feeling over crowded. The seats are very comfortable and allow you to adjust lumbar, etc. for maximum comfort. It handles well in all weather driving.

- Mia D

Chevy traverse is a very reliable vehicle.

My car is a 8 passenger vehicle with third row seating. It's very good on gas. Its a 6 cylinder. It's very reliable. Low maintenance. I've have only had to do regular maintenance on like oil change oil and breaks and tires. Its don't have all of the bells and whistles on it. The only thing is missing I'd Bluetooth I think all cars should come equipped with it. Has lots of room when back seat is folded down roomy in general good for road trips with kids or just two people.

- Margarita W

I have not had any major mechanical issues since I took over ownership in 2013. Maintenance has been wear and tear, so oil changes, new battery, new tires.

My 2011 Chevy Traverse was my company vehicle and I purchased it when my company discontinued this perk for employees at my then level. I would have never considered purchasing a Chevy Traverse had I not had this as my company car. It's been reliable, had decent gas mileage and is very spacious. It's now Fall 2018 and I just passed 73k miles. I hope to keep this at least two more years and then pass along to my son, who will be 16 and starting to drive.

Chevy Traverse review. Is it worth it?

The Chevy Traverse is a pretty dependable sturdy built well vehicle it's perfect for a family large and has plenty of storage seats let down it has three rows and a DVD player along with heated seats and dual air and heat controls its smooth riding and reliable the only issue I have noticed is the power steering went out after buying my Traverse used and had to be replaced other than that it is a affordable family friendly vehicle without having to buy a van.

- Casey B

The Chevy traverse is great for families!

Very comfortable to ride long distance in. Very reliable AWD during the harsh winters we get. Tons of room when on shopping trips. My traverse came with a DVD player which is wonderful with kids, a backup camera built into the rear view mirror which is an added bonus. Heated seats are a plus during winter months as it gets very cold. Great in snow with proper tires. Love the middle row bucket seats and fold down third row. Ample storage.

- Marquee W

The best car I have ever owned!!

I have not had any problems with our traverse. The ride is very smooth with comfortable seats. It has an excellent heating system for when it is needed as, well as a wonderful air conditioning system. The trunk area is so useful for when we travel which is about 9 weeks out of the year. It is very roomy & holds a lot. It is been a very reliable vehicle & if I were to buy another vehicle I would strongly consider the traverse.

- Patricia R

I just love the trunk space!

We only had one problem with the vehicle, the water pump went out and I was stranded. We called Chevy and lucky for us it was under warranty so it did not cost us anything. It is the perfect vehicle for a family. With the third row down we have a huge trunk space. It handles well in the snow up to about 12 inches. We haul a 10x10 trailer with it semi regularly and it does great with that. The fuel economy is average for a crossover.

- Gina Q

Very pleased Traverse Driver

I bought this vehicle so I could travel with my husband, 2 kids and large dog. We love that the third row folds down to accommodate my pup on the road and it's also conveyor large shopping trips and storing a double stroller. We've had only a few issues with the Traverse in performance - struts, brakes, and ball joints have all needed replacement- but these are all wear/tear typical for the age and miles on the car.

- Megan P

How spacious the trunk area is. With all seats down we can fit a full sized bed.

We have had our Chevy Traverse for about 5 years now and really like it. It's a really good family car with plenty of room for 4 people and 2 big dogs. We haven't had any issues really besides recently needing to replace the a/c condenser. We've drove across country once and it went really smooth, we've also taken plenty of short trips in it. If I was able to I would purchase a newer version.

- callie S

It is a great car for larger families and it comes loaded with great features like the universal remote that you can program three different compatible items to.

My vehicle has three rows but isn't too big or too long. It also has a back up camera which I love as well as a remote start button on the keypad. The air works great and it is amazing on gas but only driving long distances the gas burns out horribly fast running around town. Another feature I love is the hands free calling, all in all I would have to say I'm very satisfied with my vehicle.

- Courtney G

Super comfy, smooth ride. Spacious, a terrific family car.

I like the traverse because it fits our family of 4, plenty of room and it's a very smooth ride. Its decent on gas for its size which is also a plus when traveling to see family members in other states. The fold down back seat makes it nice too because if we do have company from out of town we can put the seats up for extra seating, if not we keep it down for groceries and other things.

- Katie G

Some problems, great vehicle.

We bought the vehicle pre owned 2 years ago and have since lost the a/c and had to make numerous other repairs such as alternator, battery, and water pump. We also have problems with the radio. We bought it with about 80,000 miles. I do love the car for it's comfort, space, and storage abilities. I have 3 children and there is ample space for car seats, strollers and other necessities.

- Caitlin R

Dark red traverse used for a large family.

The captain seats are great giving the kids in and out of the car. Mine has a DVD player with the kids enjoy on long trips. There is temp control in the front and back. I like how easily the 3rd row folds down. I also like how easily the captain chairs fold forward and slide up. I wish it had more stowing compartments and more space on the very back for luggage and sports equipment.

- Laura M

It is a nice SUV with lots of room for people or items but it has some problems.

It has some problems but it is very roomy. The back windows can only be rolled down using the driver side door because of water being able to get into the power box anytime it rains. The heat does not work on the passenger side front and has not since we got the SUV used almost 2 years ago. The window fluid sprayer on the front window stopped working a month after buying it.

- Natasha D

Perfect vehicle for a larger size family that offers comfort.

I purchased my used 2011 Traverse in 2015. Over the past few years I've had to repair the air conditioner and a sensor that kept causing the engine light to come on. Otherwise the car is comfortable and fits my growing boys comfortably. I get a lot of compliments on the car and after we bought our Traverse my sister in law went out and bought a brand new one for her family.

- Rebecca H

Great engine, fair interior.

The vehicle has been very reliable. We have the base model, so the comfort is not top of the line, but it is acceptable. The vehicle runs well, even after 7 years of use and nearly 100k miles. We have only had normal upkeep. Two things that have been issues: the interior plastics are deteriorating because of summer temperatures and the window switches have started to break.

- Rebecca S

Perfect size for any situation.

I like the size of it. I'm able to carry tons of groceries. Traveling is a breeze. We are able to fit our luggage plus a dog kennel, and even our golf clubs. It's perfect for an active 20 something like myself. I see a lot of value in having a vehicle like this even when I have children someday. You can sit up to seven or fold the back seats down for extra space for cargo.

- Kaitlyn K

Traverse pro's and con's. Either Love it or hate it.

There has been several unexpected recalls on my Traverse, as well as a lot of mechanical issues that should not have happened within 1st 5 years. From new water pump, a/c twice in 6 years has gone out, and pieces of plastic falling off in random places all over the car. Seat belt issues as well, however I still love this car and would buy new model if I was able to.

- Jennifer S

Chevy Traverse is a great care that you can feel safe in!

I really love my Chevy traverse because it is really reliable, and big! It can fit up to eight people and if you're not trying to move people it fits a lot of stuff! I've moved in this car and it fit all of my belongings great. Additionally, I've rarely had any issues with it. It's gone for its annual inspections but nothing more than that! It's a great car, I love it!

- Meagan R

A great car that fits all the needs of a family.

It runs well, mine has over 115,000 miles on it and has had only a few minor issues along the way. It is big enough for three car seats and three adults to sit comfortably. I have taken it on vacation with plenty of room to pack everything needed. It gets good gas mileage for an SUV. I like the look of it, it is not too big to easily maneuver in parking lots.

- Katie B

Road tripping with a Traverse.

My Traverse has lots of room. We purchased it when we found out we were having twins and have loved the space. We are able to fit 3 car seats in it with no problem. I love everything except the gas mileage. I average around 14 mpgs, 20 on trips. We take road trips every year and we can fit our family of five plus my in-laws (is that a good thing?) When we go!

- Brooke D

It is powerful and has a smooth ride. It is it very dependable and roomy.

I still love my 2011 Traverse. It is comfortable, has pickup. I was roomy enough soccer carpools and family trips. Only real big expense was when my A/C died in 2017. Otherwise I have been very please with the quality and performance. This is the longest I have ever owned a car before trading it in for a new one. I hope to have it for a few more years.

- Deirdre C

Reliable and durable family car

My vehicle is extremely comfortable and reliable. We just crossed the 100,000 mile mark and it still runs amazingly well. The only drawback is the middle seat in the second row. The seat belt placement is awful.. The buckle is located right where the person sits so it digs into your back and makes it impossible to put a car seat in the enter seat,

- Jenny B

Great family vehicle, drives great

It didn't really help when it left me on the side of the road when the alternator went out in it in -30 weather, with no emergency power and pregnant. Once replaced with alternator that worked when haven't had problems. Drives well. Lots of space. Love the interior and top drawer on dash. And the console. Works well for our growing family.

- Pam H

Safe and reliable family vehicle

This vehicle is great for our primary family car. It is spacious and the kids love the DVD player. It has a great sound system for music and movies. Seats easily fold down for extra storage. I love the remote car starter for cold morning and leaving work. It drives smoothly down the room. It is a large vehicle, but drives easily.

- Ashlee C

It is a smooth ride and easy to control.

I have owned my Traverse approximately 3 years now. The interior is comfortable, easy to keep clean and appealing. From the outside my Traverse is sleek, rounded and looks great. My favorite features are: my remote which I am able to start my vehicle from, also the auto back door opener and all the drink holders throughout the vehicle.

- Tina T

It is a great car for a family.

I like that it is paid for.. I like that it's an lt so it has leather and 3rd row seating.. I dislike that the back up camera is in the mirror.. I dislike that the Bluetooth capability does not allow me to see the name of the person calling from my phone, instead it only shows the phone number, which I do not have everyone memorized..

- Megan W

Enjoy the third row seat.

Been a pretty good car just more issues the more miles it gets. It's been very reliable. Nothing major has gone wrong just minor issues that we keep having to address. It is pretty comfortable. Enough room for a family of four. Able to get all our family and all our stuff in and out. Like having the third row seat when needed.

- Caleb W

Headlight issue is a big problem in my opinion

Cost to replace headlights is ridiculous due to the need to remove front bumper to complete the job. I was quoted $600 from one place. The Chevy dealership will do it for $80, which is reasonable. However, typically installing headlights are an easy owner fix not requiring high cost repair costs at a dealership or auto repair shop.

- Erin D

Reliable, spacious vehicle!

Chevy Traverse is a really good car, since I only owned this car for 2 years cannot tell what is the problem. I had none yet! It is a 7 passenger car, reliable, comfortable and big. I do have oil change in every 4000 miles. The car is 7 years old, and it is a really good car, the only thing I am missing it is not a 4 wheel drive.

- Kristina S

Great family car and shuttling multiple kids to sports practice and their gear.

Haven't had any problems with my traverse. I have been very pleased. The ride is comfortable. The second & thrive row both come down which has been really useful. With the third row down, I can fit 3 hockey bags and 3 smelly hockey players in the car. Love it for shuttling my kids to practice but also nice enough to use for work.

- Charmin K

Excellent family friendly vehicle.

The comfort of the bucket-bucket configuration is great for a family of 5. The vehicle is very spacious, even with 5 ppl we can shop at Costco and have plenty of room to haul things home. The traverse is also comfortable to drive on long trips. The car has been very reliable, not had any major unexpected problems to this point.

- Kenny H

The Traverse comes with several safety features.

I love that it has auto lock features when it is in drive. It also has an alarm whenever you are backing up and you get too close to an object. It also has a lot of room if you have a large family. I feel very safe while driving in the Traverse because it is high enough off the ground to where you can see everything around you.

- Melissa L

Comfortable seating and driving.

It rides very comfortably. It has great safety features such as six airbags. It is easy to maneuver as well as plenty of space for car seats. I like the auto lights and locks when put in drive. It also has a lot of space for carrying large items if you put the seats down I have moved furniture and other large items doing this.

- Susan O

Chevy Traverse is a great family vehicle.

We have had excellent luck with our 2011 Chevy Traverse. No issues and I would buy another one any time. We have only had routine maintenance. It has so much room and the remote open for the back hatch is so convenient. You can put the seats down and haul about anything, or put the seats up and carry 6 people besides yourself.

- Beverly O

The 2011 Chevy Traverse LTZ is a great fit for a family with kids and AWD makes it a must for inclement weather.

My 2011 Chevy Traverse is an LTZ AWD. It has great features such as captain seats in the middle that makes loading and unloading easy for back passengers. The AWD is helpful in snow, rain and mud. It is nice for longer trips and comfortable for the kids. Bose speakers sound very good. Gas mileage is decent for its class.

- Quincy P

Love my car but has some small issues.

This car is really comfortable. It has lots of storage and is pretty easy to convert. It has had some electrical problems though, the display on the dash keeps going off and on and the ac/heat do not always change properly. Also, the paint on the car is flawed and is starting to flake down to bare metal even with no accident.

- Holly P

Smooth riding vehicle! Easy to operate.

There have been no mechanical issues with my vehicle. As far as comfort, the front seats are wonderful; however, I sat in the back seat for a 4 hour drive and was very uncomfortable. I felt that there should have been an option to change the position of the seat. Also, the very back seat is difficult for an adult to access.

- Barbara D

The road trip car. Aging like wine

My vehicle is reliable. It has gotten me through the past seven years with barely any issues. I have had issues with my headlights going out. Almost every other month. I have also had a minor issue with the transmission but it was under warranty. As long as you keep the oil changed and tires with tread it's a very good car

- Amber D

My vehicle is very reliable.

I really like this car. It is a three row seater, and the seats are comfy. I recommend this car for large families. The trunk is big even with the seat up. We travel in this car and we were comfortable. It is definitely a really good car. It is very reliable. If you're looking for a larger car, consider the Chevy traverse.

- Bill N

I wish the vehicle had Bluetooth. My model I believe doesn't have it added.

I like my car other than there isn't enough trunk space when the 3rd row is up. When we are all in the vehicle there is know where to put luggage. I wish it had captain chairs also. You can't get into the 3rd row without removing a car seat. Aside from that my car is reliable which I do like. Ok gas mileage on the highway.

- Sarah E

2011 Chevrolet traverse headlights.

The biggest headache is trying to conduct basic maintenance is difficult on this vehicle. Changing the headlights is a massive undertaking. You have to remove mudguards from the wheel well. It makes it easier to change the headlights if you completely remove the wheels. This of course is not easy for the average consumer.

- Jonathan C

Plenty of room for everyone and everything!

The Traverse is a very comfortable family car. I love the 3rd row seating as it provides ample room for my family and their friends. The 3rd row seat folds down to provide plenty of luggage and storage space. The vehicle offers a comfortable and smooth ride for long distance trips and we have plenty of room for everyone.

- Christin S

Car seat install is very easy and they are secure.

I bought my traverse in February I have had no problems just general maintenance. A little harder on gas than I had anticipated. The DVD players is very convenient when the kids are in there not to mention there is games to play as well. I would definitely buy a newer model. Probably been my favorite vehicle ever bought.

- Kim R

Great vehicle but hard on tires.

Wonderful vehicle! The previous owner had a crack in the front windshield and replaced it the replacement was not done properly which caused some initial issues with the vehicle once ironed out we have very few complaints. Be aware this vehicle is heavy and will go through tires quicker than it is lighter counterparts.

- Jasmine G

I love the options my car offers

I love everything about my vehicle. I do have some electrical issues every once in a while. Sometime my windows don't roll up or down when I press the button. I love all the options my vehicle comes with. It gets decent gas mileage and I like that the seats fold down so I can load stuff (such as furniture) in the back.

- Niki M

Space is optimal in this vehicle. However, if you want to transport more than 6 people comfortably, this is not the right car for you

I really like the space in the vehicle. I like that it has potential seating for up to 8 people. Most of the time we use the rear row for cargo. I don't like that the 2 middle seats in the 2nd and 3rd rows are quite small and can only accommodate a small child, who would not be able to ride safely without a car seat.

- Rebecca S

Great family vehicle! Perfect for family vacations!

Really love the car. Great mileage, as long as you keep up with the maintenance. It's a family car, so the get up is not very strong. Only really issue is the second and third row seats do not have enough leg room. Perfect when the kids are young, but when they all grow and have long legs, not much leg room.

- Terra L

Chevy Traverse fan! Great traveling car and everyday use in the city.

Extremely comfortable and roomy. Great for road trips and traveling with others. Seats are easy to maneuver. Purchased the extended warranty which was a great value. Took it in right before the warranty expired and had it gone through bumper to bumper. I would buy another without hesitation. Good gas mileage too.

- Karen B

I love the two sunroofs, 3 rows of seats, and keyless start.

I am pleased with the gas mileage and lack of unnecessary maintenance needed. It does seem that the brakes wear faster than previous cars. I also dislike that the paint chips off the radio and air buttons easily. I would recommend this car to new buyers. I especially like the newer body types better than mine.

- Crystal P

No Bells and Whistles, But Reliable

Traverse has been very reliable over the years. I wish it had some more technological features such as automatic lift gate. Mine is 8 years old now and has no major issues with proper maintenance over the years. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who doesn't care about all the bells and whistles.

- Chelsea L

Reliable and comfortable vehicle

Oil leak in the front seal. Difficult for the mechanic to change it because the motor sits sideways. All other features are great and I love my vehicle. The back window motor went out and when the tune up is done the traverse will run fantastic. I wouldn't trade it and if I don't will be for another traverse

- Ashleigh F

Very sleek looking vehicle.

Only minor problems. Purge valve sensor went out. And flywheel needed to be replaced. Also, my front wiper motor went out and needed to be replaced. . Very reliable; as I drive to south carolina from michigan at least twice a year. Very comfortable 3 row seating. I do not have one with a lot of features.

- Emily P

Normal car problems but great for our family.

Reliable. Just wish I had bucket seats and a netting for the trunk for groceries. Have issues with getting my car lifted. Been told by many mechanics to not get my car lifted as it causes many engine issues and I should get an oil change by driving into a place that does it from downstairs under the car.

- Natalie D

Old crossover... Still working!

Many repairs for the older vehicle; hard to replace lights because of labor charges; sensors stay broken and too expensive to fix; 3rd row seating is convenient; the radio speakers no longer work and the sensors are no longer working well. Comfortable driving seats, cup holders are conveniently placed.

- Kt L

Chevy traverse review. I love my bucket back seats. Maintain regularly.

It clunks and I am not sure why. I love the bucket seats in the back. I love the third row optional seating. I love the size. I love the trunk space. I have been told the motors go but I have 114,099 miles but also get regular oil changes which every garage has told me to do especially on this vehicle.

- Michelle L

Third row seating with rear temperature controls.

I absolutely love my vehicle. It has enough seating for my family and more. I love that the rear has its own controls for the heat and cool air. It is great in the winter. Only problem I have had is I can not get my phone to connect to my car for hand free calling. But all around I am completely happy.

- Brittany M

Awesome, Reliable Non-Minivan Mom Car

I really love the fact the third row is spacious. The one problem is that it has quite a few blind spots. It is extremely reliable and I haven't had any issues besides regular maintenance in the 7 years I have owned the vehicle. It handles really well in the snow and cools down quickly in the summer.

- Katie Z

Reliable, safe and plenty of space for transporting kids.

My Traverse is safe and reliable. I have two kids and there is room for both kids in car seats and plenty of room in the back when you put the seats down. The ability to put the back seats down provides ample space for hauling groceries, sports supplies and strollers. The gas mileage is reasonable.

- Cindy H

A overall nice family vehicle.

The 2011 Chevrolet traverse is overall a good vehicle. There is great space for seating, coming with a third row. The radio comes with standard FM/am radio with the option of XM. It also has two sunroofs, one of which retracts to allow air flow. It is v6 engine, that is okay as far as gas mileage.

- Ryan L

Chevy Traverse 2011 horrible vehicle

This vehicle is the worst vehicle I have owned. I purchased it with 70,000 miles and I barely have 100,000 miles on it now and the transmission is going out. My air conditioner compressor has gone out. The all wheel drive shifts very hard. This is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned.

2011 Chevy traverse review

This car is great for big families or if you like camping or need tons of trunk space. It seats eight people. All of the seats are able to fold down so large objects can be placed in the back. The SUV does okay with gas. Does great in the winter time even let's you know when the roads are icy.

- Cre T

The Chevy traverse is family friendly and spacious

I've had several mechanical issues with the car. I've replaced the water pump and a radiator hose. It is costly to fix. I do like the size of the vehicle and I like the way it drives. We have used it to tow a camper and have taken it on several road trips. I would purchase another Traverse.

- Bernadette J

The ride is quiet and very comfortable.

It rides very quiet;y and is quite comfortable. However it seems little thought was given to the passengers : the temperature display is only visible to the driver, the glove box does not fold down to make a shelf and the cup holders are only suitable for items the size of a 12 ounce can.

- Alicia P

It is a reasonably priced small SUV with three rows of seating.

I like the flexibility of having three rows of seats or extra cargo space when the seats fold down without having to drive a huge vehicle. The gas mileage is good and it's easy to maneuver. There is not much cargo room when the seats up all in use and that is a drawback for a large family.

- Amy R

The new age sporty version of a van but a sport utility.

We recently just bought our vehicle. We love it but the drive shaft broke. Which we have done research showing this happens a lot on the AWD vehicles. Other than that it drives great we love it. Comfortable and spacious. Love how we have a 3rd row but still feel small as if driving a car.

- Danielle L

That you can't change the headlights yourself.

I like that it seats seven and has the captain's chairs in the second row. I like that it's not too big like a large SUV. It looks great and is comfortable to drive. I don't like that I can't change the headlights myself. I have to take it into the dealership and pay to have them do it.

- Debbie L

How roomy and the TV comes with headphones!

I love my traverse. The only downside of buying my used car is it needs work. The control arm is bad, the sway bars needed replaced, the ac doesn't work, but the heated seats are amazing and I like you can choose just your back or both. My kids love the TV and how much space they have.

- Zack L

Excellent family car, lots of storage space and very roomy.

The Chevy traverse is an excellent family car. It had third row seating which is super convenient if you have a big family. It also has a large trunk area, which is great for groceries or large purchases. My wife's favorite feature is the build in backup camera in the rear view mirror.

- Tomas F

It runs and it's safe. It may not have the most advanced technology but it runs.

I purchased it used so obviously it wasn't new. The door can get sticky and hard to open. The gas mileage isn't that great. It's not the most cosmetically best looking. But hey it runs and it gets me to work so I'll grin and bear it until I'm ready to buy a new car... hopefully soon.

- Dan k

Roomy but small issues after a while.

It's been an ok vehicle. Every year like clockwork I have to get the ac fixed right when summer starts and last year we had a problem where the battery wouldn't shut off on the car. But it's a smooth ride and mostly reliable. Good gas mileage and roomy enough for 6 kids and 2 adults.

- Haley W

I love my traverse. The best car I ever had

I really love my traverse. It's spacious and dependable and very good on gas. I had to fix a few minor things on it and it didn't cost that much for parts and labor. I've been on the highway a few times for travel and she purred like a kitten. This is one of the best cars I ever had.

- Amanda H

It has some electrical type issues such as display fading in and out, window switches glitching (IE would roll window down, but not back up), the aux cord port has a short and will randomly change from the radio to aux.

I love the size, not too big, not too small. I dislike that I have had to replace headlight and taillight bulbs multiple times, more than any other vehicle I have owned. I also am experiencing issues with the display (that shows the mileage, direction, etc.) it fades out randomly.

- Shelly A

Great family vehicle for long or short trips.

Gas mileage is really bad. Storage space could be a little bigger in rear of vehicle. It has been a really good, reliable vehicle for long road trips and short day trips. Seats could be a little bit more comfortable, but not bad. Overall, I could not ask for a better family vehicle.

- Brian D

Vehicle is great for any family to take long trips in comfort.

Good performance. Reliability is good. Extra comfortable for family. Vehicle is the lets version. Fully equipped with bells and whistles for entertainment for the family on long trips. Gas usage is reasonable. Do advise tune-up as car gets older to continue to get good gas mileage.

- Mary S

2011 Chevy traverse, best SUV ever.

No problems, purchased used two years ago, has 61,000 miles on it as of 5/4/2019 runs like a brand new SUV. The best decision I ever made was to buy this SUV. The ride is just as good if not better than a full size car. Is easy on the gas and this traverse has great pick up and go.

- Mike N

Big, roomy family vehicle.

My traverse is a seven seater that fits my kids and their friends all comfortably. I do wish that it had a navigation system, better gas mileage, and that the seats folded down into the floor but other than that it is a great family car I absolutely love the roominess of the trunk.

- Sara B

Our traverse is terrific and we have spent many enjoyable hour in it .

We love our traverse. It has room for our kids and grandkids with a DVD player to keep the little ones entertained. Our only problem has been the defroster. It doesn't work very efficiently so we use a supplemental one. That has worked great and we have not had a problem since.

- Teresa M

It is very comfortable for long distance trips.

Very comfortable, plenty of room. Access getting in and out is a little hard to do but not bad. Love the sound systems, Bose. Mirrors automatically adjust to evening driving to keep down glare from the car behind you. All in all, I will buy this type of car again. It is very nice.

- Lana M

It is great for growing families. It can fit many people while accommodating other items.

I like that it is large enough to fit my children and dog. It is comfortable to drive, reliable, and safe for my family. There is space to store things in the back even with the third row up. I enjoy the backup mirror and hand free opening system for the back door. No complaints.

- Nichole W

Comfortable family vehicle.

It is a very comfortable vehicle for the family since it. Is a three seater. The disappointment on my opinion is the gas it consumes, but it might. Be totally normal since it a larger SUV. This vehicle has been very reliable so far, I have not had any mechanical issues with it.

- Sandra M

Great for someone with kids!

Rides well and is very comfortable! Great for someone with kids as there is lots of room! Haven't had many if any issues besides for just upgrading tires and getting new brakes.. Other than that it is been a great vehicle! Gas mileage is not terrible for the size of the vehicle!

- Morgan D

The only downside is the mileage, as it is heavier & only get 300 miles per tank compared to 450 that I used to get, but I will be upgrading the engine shortly.

I saw this vehicle about 2 months ago & the instant I saw it, I wanted it for my family, as our old Minivan was having problem after problem & this was a instant upgrade, it has 2 sunroofs + a DVD player for the kids, it has full time AWD & much bigger tires for the winter time.

- Kevin H

The car is family friendly and travel safety!

My car is rated a 4 by me. It drives very good in the snow and rain. Has a few mechanical issues but not as much.. The car so far has been very amazing and has not let me down but a few bad tires that was out on. I consider this car a very good traveling and family friendly car!

- Nicole N

The Traverse is a great family choice!

Our Traverse is very comfortable, seating works well. For because we are able to take friends or family along with us when we go places. Has been very dependable for us. I love having a back up camera, and Bluetooth accessibility. I also like the style and color of our vehicle.

- Amy P

I love that is it a family car but doesn't look like a minivan.

We got the traverse because we were expecting our third child and we needed the room. I love how much room is in the back. Very comfortable and great running car. Only thing I don't like is when the third row is up there is not much space. But other than that a great family car

- Taylor K

Chevy Traverse: it is pretty decent. Not a terrible vehicle for a growing family.

Reliable and has enough seating. We're a tall family so room is starting to be an issue. Mileage is average. Not a lot of cargo space with the third row up. Oil changes are starting to get expensive. Tire life is good. Wish it were bigger but we're looking into bigger vehicles.

- J A

Reliability in my traverse.

I truly love my traverse. I am a nurse so reliability in a vehicle is my main Focus. Since I have had my traverse, I must say I haven't had many major issues; the #1 being the ac stopped running and it cost m about $700. For repairs. Otherwise it is all in all a great vehicle.

- Ayana D

Large family approved SUV.

We have had very few problems with the Traverse. It easily fits our large family comfortably and has been used to transport larger things on occasion. It is comfortable and reliable, which is great for bigger families like mine. OnStar is our favorite feature in the Traverse.

- Pamela A

It is roomy and easy to handle.

I like the three rows and the fact that two of the rows can be laid down for hauling large items. I like that it is a nice riding car and easy to navigate while driving. I dislike the gas mileage. The average was suppose to be 17. I never get that unless I am on a long trip..

- Frances N

I love the interior of our vehicle through.

I love the interior of the car and the fact that it does not look like a minivan but we have had several electronica problems with this vehicle and it is very sad to us. Most recently the window controls have gone out and have require replacing and the controls are going out.

- Krystal K

Love my new Chevy traverse.

I really love my new vehicle I am able to haul things like I would be able to if I had a truck and it is not that bad on gas. It is very comfortable and spacious. I really like how it handles on the road especially when it rains. My son and I love how the radio sounds also.

- Melissa W

Dependable family vehicle

It has been very reliable. Has over 140k miles and still runs well. Starting to have a few technical problems but I think it's due to the last mechanic that worked on it. It's roomy and gets good gas mileage. My kids love the space they have in the back and the Bose system

- Christy B

I am loving’ it! Best ride I have ever had!

Really like the vehicle. Spacious and easily accessible seating. I love how the seats go flat for hauling things. It is a very comfortable, smooth ride. The radio is really clear. I love the heated seats and dual controls system. The leather seats are also a nice feature.

- Angela M

The ultimate ride is a Chevy traverse. Heavy enough and a smooth a luxury drive.

I love my vehicle but it has had a lot of recalls and problems. It is very comfortable to drive and makes me feel secure on the road. I have a Bose sound system and a DVD screen for TDD my son. It is an enjoyable ride. We often take it on the road and the drive is smooth.

- Brenda L

Great riding car for long trips.

The only major problem we've had, has been with air conditioning, but we later found out it was due to not being properly serviced before buying it. The ride in this car is great, holds road well, good on gas, and can hold 8 passengers. There is plenty of legroom inside.

- Charlotte R

Highlight in my Traverse sweet and reliable.

It is a nice SUV to buy it is very affordable drives great and it is also excellent on gas. It is very roomy it is fits my family and everybody is very comfortable when we go on family trips. I strongly recommend if you plan on buying a SUV this is the right one for you.

- L S

Lots of space in back which is lost with 3rd row; easy riding and spacious

Light bulbs needed repeated replacement; light sensor too expensive to replace; repair expensive because of labor to get to engine; window motors are no longer working and cannot be rolled down and back up; captains seats are easy to maneuver as well As 3rd row seating

- Catharine L

Bluetooth capable, comfortable ride, easy handling.

Gas mileage not as I expected but nice car comfortable can pull a small trailer good handling plenty of seating and or storage room tire size may be a bit costly but handles well in snow. Would prefer backup alarm good Bluetooth feature for hands free cell phone calls.

- tom P

Awesome car! Great price for SUV/crossover.

Some electrical issues but the Traverse is a great vehicle. Holds up well in a accident and keeps passengers safe. Love the extra airbags and am looking to upgrade from a 2011 to a new year because I love it so much. Chevy offers great options on all vehicles as well.

- Mindy M

A nice looking reliable vehicle.

Very reliable. I have a family of 6 so the extra seating in back works well for our family. Leap up with maintenance. Only had to get a new power steering so far. All the controls are easy to read and use. Also like the look of the body. It is all and a good vehicle.

- Leigh P

Best Multi Use vehicle ever

Love the car but had major issues with the throttle control prior to the recall that they issued and had to fight with the lawyers at Corporate to get reimbursed. It is very comfortable and fun to drive. Excellent for long trips and lots of room for moving stuff.

- Mary L

Reoccurring problems, but great features!

The air conditioning does not work. We paid to get it fixed and it wasn't really fixed. Steering and suspension often break as well which is frustrating. We love the size, how it sits up high, great room in trunk for sports equipment or luggage when traveling.

- Molly S

My Chevy Traverse is a lemon.

My car is a lemon. I have had to replace the headlights every 3 months, have had countless repairs on it. My driver side heated seat is no longer working. My windshield washer pump went out. These are in addition to the numerous mechanical repairs I have made.

- Becky B

Traverse appeal and dependability.

No problems with this vehicle. The back seats are not too comfortable and the get into the very back seat is hard for an adult. It gets pretty good gas mileage and the stereo system is great. I wish it had a better and bigger back up camera. Rides smoothly.

- Barbara D

Comfortable at a affordable price.

I love my Traverse it is luxury at an affordable price. Heated seats and rear backup mirroring. Lots of room for the kids too. My Traverse has enough seating for a family of 6. Lots of storage still with cup holders for every seat. My kids never complain.

- Rebecca W

Third row seating. Reliable and stylish.

The Chevy Traverse is a reliable car. I've had this car for almost 3 years now and haven't had any problems. I bought the car used at CarMax. The best is third row seating to accommodate more passengers. With a family of 4 at my house, it is perfect fit.

- Ken M

Drives well in the snow. Spacious enough for a whole family and luggage.

Very spacious. Like the 3 rows and large trunk. I like how the seats fold for more trunk room. Do not like the blind spots. Very hard to see when backing up. The car has had some electrical issues which are random and nobody can figure out what is wrong.

- Sara B

I love my Chevy Traverse!

The vehicle is amazing family car. Great for traveling due to have a good gas mileage. Very spacious for leg room for passengers. You have the OnStar capability. Bluetooth capabilities as well. I highly recommend this vehicle to any family of 3 or more.

- Natasha F

Safety features of a Chevrolet traverse.

I love it because there is so much room for me and my family to travel around in comfort. I also love that there is a feature that lets you know the air pressure of your tires, when to change the oil and if there is something or someone behind your car.

- Missy L

Love my traverse, would recommend

Great SUV. It works for me, great for round town or long trips. Plenty of room for the family and luggage. Plenty of space, air con all round, good acceleration. Not so great on fuel consumption 3.5ltr v6 engine. Smooth and comfortable on long journeys

- Paul S

Great on road trips, not great for city driving

There is a lot of passenger space. Even the back seat is roomy enough for teenagers and small adults. We dislike how poor gas mileage is in urban driving. Huge gas hog... even for an SUV. Otherwise, has been a great vehicle , especially on road trips.

- Rebecca M

2011 Chevrolet Traverse-207000 miles and very dependable!

Very roomy, comfortable seats, and dependable vehicle. Replaced brake pads twice, water pump twice and battery once. My vehicle has 207, 000 miles on it and has never left me stranded. Love my OnStar and have had it since I bought it. I bought it new.

- Clarence M

If you have kids this Chevy traverse is for you.

Normal issues after 100,000 but no major repairs. Rides amazing on back roads and highways. All wheel drive is perfect for off roading and driving in the snow. The third row seating takes up much of the truck but works great with having multiple kids.

- Monica S

This vehicle fits all your children comfortably.

I have 3 kids and they all fit comfortably on road trips. The seats are comfortable and there are plenty of charging ports for the whole family. We can put up the third roll seat with my children are not using it to fit more groceries in the back.

- Connie L

It is comfortable, and roomy.

I love the way it drives, handles, and the roomy interior. I don't like the gas mileage, and the little things that they claim they can't repair; like my mirrors that won't remain stable and have to be readjusted every time the car is stopped.

- Kathy G

The seating flexibility is very important to me, but the all wheel drive is also necessary for me to get around in the snow in our hilly area.

I love the fact that the Traverse is flexible. My family of four fits with extended cargo space, but if I need it I can put the back seats up to seat up to 3 more people (although the middle seat in the back is tight for a teenager or adult).

- Kris H

Well pleased with my Chevy Traverse!

Very comfortable vehicles, have not had many problems with it at all. Can carry up to 7 persons comfortably, and with the seats down can carry a lot of cargo. Love the built in XM Radio! I have not had hardly any problems with this vehicle!

- Cindy H

Small problems but I LOVE MY CAR

The lighting settings for the interior of the car are complicated to figure out. The 3rd row only has 1 top tether for a carseat and the seat it to narrow for a seat to be in that position making using the 3rd row with a carseat complicated

- Lea I

It is very friendly however don't keep it past the hundred thousand mile mark or you'll be dumping thousands of dollars in to fix timing chains

My car is pretty good however they have been major problems hitting the hundred thousand mile mark and find out this is been happening to hundreds of thousands of Chevy traverse vehicles all over the world in Chevy will not honor the fix

- Danielle D

You can fit pretty much anything or anyone in it without struggling too much.

I like that it can fit my 8 person family comfortably. It also drives really well in the snow because of the all wheel drive. I don't like the fact that you have to remove the wheel and take out the wheel well to replace a headlight.

- Cathy P

Rugged but family oriented, stylish yet affordable, comfortable

The traverse gives me the room I want without feeling big. 6 teen girls fit comfortably in the back which was great for Girl Scouts but also easily converts to make room for my horse feed and hay. It also gets good gas mileage.

- Julie W

It's the best car for a family to ride comfortably.

I like how smooth it goes down the road, it is very comfortable and has lots of extras on it. I think the only thing I dislike is there are a couple of blind spots that I had to get used to at first, but overall, I really love it.

- Nancy D

Spacious! Third row seating!

The Chevy traverse has a lot of room. It seats seven with the third row seating in the SUV. I love the space to fit kids and groceries! The seats are comfortable. The windows and locks are power. Driver side seat is power.

- Lisa O

it gets great gas mileage for its size and the car is made for traveling so that helps.

there is plenty of room in this car. room for people and luggage . the car has been easy to take care of and has almost 200000 miles on it. the exterior has stayed in good shape. it gets 20 to 24 miles per gal of gas

- garland s

The traverse is good on gas for an SUV.

I love everything about my vehicle! The size is great for my family and friends. The dual and rear heat and air controls are a wonderful feature! It is big enough for 8 people, yet does not look like a mommy mobile.

- Carrie H

Do not buy a Chevy traverse!

Numerous problems. Not well built. A number of recalls which include the stereo, seatbelts, windshield wiper motor, transmission. Gets very poor gas mileage. The indicator lights do not turn off or can not be reset.

- Chris K

It is difficult to slide the middle seats back and forth to get to the 3rd row.

I love my Chevy Traverse. Although, mine has the bench seat in the middle row which makes it difficult to get to the 3rd row seating. If I have the option to buy again I would get the captain chairs in the 2nd row.

- Sally R

2011 Chevrolet traverse x

I bought my traverse used and although it was in pretty good condition, parts are starting to break and fall apart on the inside. I have had issues with the sensors that have cost me thousands of dollars in repairs

- Gloria R

I think that the car drives very smooth and is reliable.

The car is really great and drives smooth. I love being up high because I can see everything. The only issue is that it sounds like power steering or something might be going out but car shops say it is nothing.

- Rachel A

Roomy SUV for family. Great SUV for everyday living and trips with the family.

My Chevy is an SUV. I like that it rides higher and I feel more safe. I also like how much room I have for my family. It is great for road trips because of the room. The only thing I dislike is the gas mileage.

- Lori S

The blind spots are terrible.

I love that it is fully loaded with all the extras! Very comfortable smooth ride. I hate the blind spots in my vehicle. There are far too many and makes it difficult to see while backing up or switching lanes.

- Candice A

It's a small suv. It has 3 rows of seats with plenty of room for multiple car seattle. It also has the power to get up and go.

I really love our Traverse. It handles really nice. Plenty of room for the kids in the back seats. It handles really good in the winter weather which was a big concern of mine. The DVD player is a lifesaver!

- Nik N

Don't expect to get good gas mileage around town, as it's only about 14 mpg.

I dislike the fact it did not come with a spare tire or a spot for one (the LS model) and I dislike how difficult it is to change the battery and headlights. I like the fact it has 3 rows and it looks nice.

- Gina S

That my air conditioner sucks and costs me money every time i switch between heat and air

I don't like that there are not that many rear tethers so i can't forward face car seats in several locations. I also hate that my air conditioner constantly breaks and has cost me thousands of dollars.

- danica k

It uses up a lot of gas and I have to fill up about every three-four days.

I love the size of the vehicle. I love that it has a back up camera and satellite radio. I hate the limited space for legroom. I hate the head rests on the chairs. The gas mileage is pretty bad as well.

- Tiffany T

Feels like driving a car but the space of an SUV

I like the overall size of the Traverse. It can seat 8 people fairly comfortably and there is still some cargo room in the back. I also like that it gets better gas mileage than more bigger SUVs.

- Ashley B

Roomy and amazing in winter

3 rows lots of room for the family. When traveling the back doesn't have a whole lot of storage, that's about the only negative about this vehicle! It is absolutely amazing in the winter months!

- Natalie G

Drives great and looks great.

Love the look and luxury of my Chevy traverse. It seems to drive great overall and is a comfortable ride. Love that all of my kids' car seats easily fit in it and can be put in the car easily.

- Kara Z

Our traverse has been easy to maintain and mechanically sound.

Our traverse is a good family car. We haven't had any mechanical problems with it. It has plenty of room for the kids and dog. The traverse has comfortably taken my family on a few road trips.

- Corey S

Flexible, reliable family vehicle

Our Traverse has been an excellent family vehicle. The flexibility in the seating along with the amount of seats in the vehicle has been great. It's a comfortable vehicle and very reliable.

- Laura E

Chevy has improved the Traverse over the years. It's a great family vehicle.

The panel for seat controls broke so the control panel hangs to the side. Should be in a different location because it seems to break down over time with getting in and out of the car.

- Stacy F

It has an excellent amount of cargo space.

The cargo space is great. The fold down back seats make it very versatile. Three people can sit comfortably in the backseat. We have had minimal problems with the mechanics of the car.

- Carol K

It has a ton of space. We are able to fit our family of 5, 2 dogs, and all our luggage comfortably when traveling.

I love the amount of space my vehicle has. It allows my growing family enough room when traveling. It gets great gas mileage and has had very few issues with it since we purchased it.

- Megan S

Those SUV rides very smooth and gets good gas mileage.

I like this vehicle. It drives smooth. Only complaint is that the buttons for the radio and a/c the paint is coming off. It started doing this right before my 3 year warranty ended.

- Wanda B

Great family vehicle with the third row seating option!

I love my Traverse. We have put almost 250,000 miles on her and she is still going. I will strongly consider getting another Traverse when it comes time for us to purchase a new car.

- Tanya H

Chevrolet is the best reliable make of vehicle you can own.

It's been nice to have the remote start to cool it off or heat it up. The room in back for groceries is good. Love the remote hatch open and close function. Don't like the nav system

- Robin L

2011 black Chevy traverse great vehicle fun to drive

Great vehicle. Gas mileage is ok could be better. Love how comfortable it is. It can hold 8 people in it. Both the middle row and back row lay flat when you need to haul things in it

- Bill S

Comfortable seats and comfortable ride for the driver and the whole family.

I love the size of it and how it fits my family. I am not a fan of the limited storage space when the third row seats are open for people to use them. I love how smooth the ride is.

- Brandon R

Great for a family. Can carry plenty of passengers comfortably.

Gas mileage is not the best on it. Great for transporting passengers. Good sized gas tank for long trips. However, I could make it a lot further if the engine was a bit smaller.

- Miles W

Great car for a growing family!

Great car for my family. The bucket seats in the second row make it easy for children to get to the 3rd row. Gets great gas mileage and is really comfortable on long road trips.

- Amber B

Its an American made vehicle that can compete with any other make, especially foreign ones

It has a smooth ride, has lots of space and is very economical. The car looks very impressive, with a rich paint coat. Everything is easy to reach and adjust with little effort

- Peter S

Why the traverse is a family vehicle and an everyday driver

I love this vehicle. I use it for everyday driving and travel and have never had one complaint. My 2 younger sons car seats fit great and my 18 year old 6'5 son fits as well.

- Lindsay S

2011 Chevy traverse bought used

I love my traverse. We bought it used and have only had to put little maintenance in and we have had it 3 years now. It is very roomy and we have a lot of space for 3 kids.

- Nicole T

Gets the job done and great for busy families!

Easy to drive and park. Handles hauling 3 kids and all their sports equipment and band instruments around. Plenty of room for groceries, even when everyone is in the truck.

- Jen L

It sits 8! Most SUV's with a third row only seat 7.

It's a nice size vehicle. Carries 8 people because of the third row. The bad thing is the people sitting in the middle of the second and third rows are uncomfortable.

- Leslie W

Safety and relief ability!

Excellent vehicle. Comfortably fits family of five. Great for traveling. Perfect vehicle for those needing space but not wanting a minivan! Very reliable and safe!

- Jackie V

It is a very dependable car.

It is a great car. There is lots of room for passengers. It also can be used for hauling things inside. The seats fold down to make this possible. Not bad on gas.

- Robin P

It is easy to drive and maintain.

I like the seating capacity and height. I dislike the gas mileage and major work that it needs soon. I dislike that it requires more maintenance than the Toyota.

- Jennifer W

Good family car dependable, good overall value.

Works very good for my family's needs good fuel economy, roomy enough for everyone, dependable, smooth ride, good v6 engine is plenty of power for this vehicle.

- Darrell S

Traverse: a good vehicle, with excellent features.

The traverse is a solid vehicle and very mechanically sound. I enjoy the feature that accompany the vehicle. I would consider buying another one in the future.

- Edward C

Great family vehicle and perfect for traveling. Comfortable seats and good features.

I like the versatility of my vehicle and how it can seat 7 passengers. I also like the handling. I do feel that this vehicle has not the greatest gas mileage.

- Meghann B

It is a good size for a smaller family. The engine has started to sound like a wind up car as the car gets older.

I like that my car has plenty of space for my two kids in the back. I dislike the sound of the engine and the back is a tight squeeze in the back for adults.

- Maggie K

The safety record and having won the j d power award.

I like the overall interior with the 3 rows of seats holding up to 8 people. It won a JD Power safety award. I am able to lay seats down to haul large items.

- Frances C

Rides nicely and gas mileage and how it's versatile it is for seating and cargo.

I like the better gags Milagros and all wheel drive. I like how I can have six adults fit comfortably but can put the seats down to accommodate to my needs.

- Nicole D

It fits easily 8 people in the car and still leaves room in the back to store items such as luggage, groceries, etc..

It has 3 rows of seats which is great for a family five. Just don't like the cloth seats as they get dirty easily with 3 kids and i have to scrub them alot.

- tara b

A very very very reliable vehicle

This has been a great vehicle for our family as it relates to comfort and functionality. The only con would be that we have had a lot of maintenance issues.

- Courtney J

The space is great. Lots of room in the third row of seats and space in the back of the car when all seats are up

Reliability has been good with the car. Lots of room and the third row of seats is very useful when you have 3 kids, and you still get space in the back .

- Andrew C

It has a smooth ride and is comfortable. The turn radius is great.

The car is comfortable it runs smooth nice pick up one problem is the chassis electronic module can cause an electrical short. Which can cause an accident.

- Sharon F

The Chevrolet Traverse has great all wheel drive and traction control.

My vehicle has over 139,000 miles on it. Other than normal maintenance, the 2 things that have been replaced by me has been the timing chain and a gasket.

- Jerome H

It is a great ride, comfortable.

It fits our needs perfectly. It carries the grandkids, toys and is very comfortable. My only issue is we have been unlucky as far as repair bills for it.

- Larry P

The traverse is easy to handle.

The traverse is perfect for a family of four but anymore and it is too small. Drives easily. I like the extra features of rear camera and remote start.

- Ross M

2011 Chevy Traverse I would not recommend.

StabiliTrak issues and power steering pump. The car sways way too much, and it seems like it makes a horrible grinding noise from the front shock area.

It's great until it goes out of warranty and then it falls apart and it takes awhile for people to figure it out

I love how it drives and the comfort level. However, it's starting to have some sensor issues that no one, including Chevy, can figure out how to fix.

Traverse Hits New Highs For Comfort

I like the spaciousness of the vehicle. The gas mileage of the vehicle is about average for this class of car. The comfort of the car is incredible.

- Henry H

Has a lot of airbags. Front and side airbags in the back.

Its used but I love it because its v-6 has 3rd row seat so there's just enough room for my family and to be comfortable going places or long drives.

- Joy M

Great option for families that don't want a minivan but need the interior space and seating of a minivan!

It is great for a growing family! The seating options are flexible and easy to transition the third row. It's a SUV with the space of a minivan!

- Carla B

The Traverse has lots of room for family and provides a comfortable ride for everyone.

Some likes about the Travers. The Traverse is great for my family and I. We like the room it provides and makes it comfortable on long car rides.

- Raul K

My car comfortably seats eight and it is not a minivan.

I like that the vehicle has a lot of room even when sitting in the third row. I do wish it was easier to move the seats to get to the third row.

- Summer W

It drives amazingly and you can fit quite a few people in it.

I like how it drives. I love all the room it has. I love the design of it. I do not have any complaints of this car it meets everything we like.

- Kathy S

It is a family friendly car.

I love the size of it and the trunk. The seats however are very uncomfortable. I thought after many years they would break in but they haven't.

- Jennifer C

It is great and versatile for large families.

I love the room and seating for 8. I also like the steering. I do not like the gas mileage, I average around 14 mpg, which is really low to me.

- Brooke F

It is roomy, and the seats are comfortable.

I love how spacious my SUV is! I can fit so many people, and things. We easily take it on road trips, and it's perfect for errand running too!

- ash P

It is a good size. It is perfect if you have a big family.

I like my car. It is a big car. I like the color and the model. It is a family car. I do not have any complaints about my Chevrolet traverse.

- Cecilia C

It has seating for 7, however the rear 5 seating spaces are not ideal for an adult.

There's no back up camera. Although it has seating for 7, it's not comfortable for 7 people. If you have 7 occupants there's no cargo space.

It is not hands free calling.

The traverse is roomy, third row seating, and it rides well going down the road. I put about 1200 miles a week on it! It is been reliable.

- Darcy W

Devalued faster than most people think. I would recommend buying used.

Love the options on the LTZ package. Love heated and cooled seats. Hate the backup camera in the mirror and gets dirty to easily as well.

- Ryan F

It's been very reliable so far. I haven't had many problems.

I love the bucket seats and the size. I do not like that there isn't a lot of space in the back. Also, it does not have 4-wheel drive.

- Sara U

When your in park you can still push your car.

I like my cause the sunroof and moonroof. The leather seat with heat warmer. Do not like how my check engine like comes on all the time.

- Tara C

They are nice and the seats set amazing. And they drive really well

The only complaint I have about it is the way the tires eat on the inside. I really like the space and look. Gas mileage could be better

- Brandon T

Perfect vehicle for softball mom

Smooth ride and roomy. Fits a large family comfortably. lots of storage space very reliable Extra space for a family that travels a lot

- Amanda K

I love the safety features.

What I like about my chevrolet traverse is that it's smaller than my last car... What I do like about the car is that it runs smoothly.

- Destiny T

It is very effective and efficient for large families on the go.

Love how it handle all weather conditions.. Wished it got better fuel mileage because I was told it would get 24 highway barley get 19.

- Jason C

Very dependable with no major repairs needed.

Like 3rd row seat option. Hard to get car seats in back row. Very reliable though. No major issues at all in the 7 years of ownership.

- Donna L

- Renee D

The best investment I made this year

I love the way it handles in the snow The room it offers seating 8 comfortably It's been a great vehicle for me and the grandkids

- Lynn P

It seats eight people. I got it because I have a largish family and my best friend has a large family and we needed to fit as many people as we could in the car.

It's an okay car, but I think it was a lemon year. In the first few years I had to spend thousands of dollars in computer repair.

- Rebekkah B

Good on treacherous road conditions and it's a six cylinder but powerful SUV.

What I like about my vehicle is that it's all wheel drive. Good on treacherous road conditions. Very roomy fits seven passengers.

- Abby A

It's reliable. It's a decent family vehicle. This vehicle will be perfect for families of all sizes.

I like that it is a family vehicle. I also like that it has quite a bit of space for everyone. I do not like that it needs work.

- Crystal G

Utility and versatility can fit pretty much anything

Love the utility wish trans had 2 more gears. Performance is good and has respectable fuel economy. Overall reliable vehicle.

- David K

The third row seating accommodates more passengers.

My Traverse is a great car. I love the third row seating. It is the best part. Lots of room. It is also very reliable as well.

- Ken M

There's a 3rd row seat in it.

I love the space and gas mileage. In not a fan of the cloth seats and the crack in the hatch door. I love the third row seat.

- Leah W

If you want to use the third row seating, get model with the rear bucket seats.

Changing the headlights is a challenge. Having to take it to the mechanic is very inconvenient for a simple headlight change.

- Lindsey G

Its mine and that only I should driving it and it's a great car.

I read about issues with the car but I love the Traverse haven't had the any issues no complaints I like this vehicle a lot.

- Kelvin G

Love the zip the car has for such a large SUV. Bought the car so we could transport grandchildren. Still a fun car to drive.

- Dennis I

There have been lots of recalls since I have owned this car.

It's nice to have a lot of seating. Had lots of recalls and repair issues. Would consider another brand before chevy again.

- andrea C

It has good power in the engine.

It is reliable, good in the snow and has enough room for my family. It uses a lot of gas though which is the only downfall.

- Christopher O

It's reliable and roomy. Plenty of space for kids and friends.

Our family of 5 loves our traverse. My husband says it one of the best vehicles we've owned. In MN the AWD is so important.

I have not had any issues or problems with this vehicle. I keep it up to date with maintenance and haven't had any issues.

- Katherine M

If size is important in a vehicle this is a fantastic option

I enjoy the size of the vehicle, it offers three rows with a lot of space. I gives the feel of a minivan with a suv look.

- laurie b

The Traverse is a comfortable family car, making road trips easier.

I love the 3rd row that folds down. I also love the captain seats in the middle row. The gas mileage is not good, however.

- Kendra P

The timing chains are known for going out of this year and model.

4 months after we bought it we had to put $2200 in the motor. The mechanic said it's very common in this make of vehicle.

- Loretta K

It's a great family car! It isn't the greatest for gas but not too bad.

I like the room in my car. I also like the sunroofs and my dvd feature. I don't like the gas mileage and the blind spots

- Jessica D

Third row seating is my highlight.

I have had to change the headlights multiple times. I need more space for a family of 6. Overall I do feel safe.

- Tashia L

Great vehicle. Good quality.

Have always loved it. Like the design and looks. Would like to have more features. It has had a lot of recalls.

- Penny H

The Chevy Traverse is a great family vehicle with superior quality.

My Traverse is my perfect vehicle. It seats 7, handles beautifully, and looks great. Very comfortable to drive.

- Meghann B

Gas mileage is not bad, lots of room.

Transmission, struts, control arms, backup assist, speedometer, paint peeled on hood-repainted-wouldn't cover.

- Mike A

It comfortably rides 7 adults.

I love that it holds so many people. That is rides like a car. It gets decent gas mileage and it looks sporty.

- Melissa S

That newer models have fixed some of the previous problems. Newer models are larger and have more convenience items.

It gets me from here to there and is relatively safe. It's small, though, and doesn't have efficient storage.

- Cyd K

It is safe and has great fuel mileage.

Dislike that there is not a power liftgate. Like the amount of seating. Like the ease of folding seats away.

- Joan H

I like it for its size. Not to big or small

not many problems so far just regular maintenance. Tires and brakes nothing major has needed to be repaired.

- cindy s

It is overall a reliable car.

I like the third row seating, the night light feature, the reverse camera and how it handles. No complaints.

- Dawn D

handles great in the snow, can get anyplace you need to get in the winter with even the deepest snow

awesome AWD!, power moonroof, dvd entertainment system, second row captain chairs, leather, power everything

- sara r

The most important thing about my vehicle is that is very spacious and runs very smooth.

I like that my vehicle has a third row of seats so that all my four kids fit perfectly. No complaints so far

- Maria G

It is my baby. I try to take care of it . As someone told me ," you can live in your car; you can't drive your house. "

I love my car. The only thing i don't like is I don't have captain's chairs but a bench in my second row.

- Kimberly K

It has 3rd row seating and a decent price.

The Traverse struggles with transmission problems. I have also had to replace the windshield washer pump.

- Jen H

perfect family car with lots of room

We absolutely love our Traverse. It's a big car but drives really easy so it doesn't feel too big for me.

- Laura T

The vehicle is solid and can sustain a crash rather well while keeping the occupants unharmed.

Like a typical SUV, the gas mileage could be better. However, the vehicle easily accommodates our family.

- Dena J

It feels like you're driving a car and I have to remind myself that it's bigger than it feels.

I love the size and comfort of my vehicle. Wish it had a better engine though because it has no pick up.

- Nichole B

Family of 6 in a 2011 Chevy traverse.

It is a reliable car for my big family. Has enough room to fit 8 people. Comfortable, trustworthy, safe.

- Heidi W

We really love our Traverse! It has heated seats, backup camera in the rearview mirror, you can lay down a single seat, or a double seat or both in the back for more storage room. It also has a blind spot mirror on both side mirrors, I really love that. It rides smooth and handles well. The few things I don't like are the headrest, they point down at your head and the tire air sensors don't work.

I feel safe in my Traverse, with the side mirror blind spot mirrors and easy handling and quick braking.

- Laura H

It's what a family needs and very safe.

It nice and comfortable and plenty of airbags. Gas mileage could be better . Plenty of room for luggage.

- Jason P

- Becky G

the reliability is fantastic.

It is an LTZ model. It has all the bells and whistles. It even has seat coolers. No real complaints.

- dave S

I feel very safe while driving my children around in the traverse

I like that we can fit a lot of people comfortably. it has a lot of legroom and we get good mileage.

- Melissa L

the battery is in the right side passenger side seat in a protective cased housing. it's really inconvenient.

It's an SUV with a back up review camera. Plenty of room. Great gas mileage. I have no complaints.

- David F

It's very roomy and runs great I really don't have any complaints.

It's a basic model but I love it. No complaints at all. Big enough to fit the whole family in.

- Melinda G

It is very large. I only have one child so I don't really need a huge car. It has three rows so it's a little excessive for my small family. Being so large, it makes parking extremely difficult.

My car is the definition of a mom-car. It is perfect for toting around children and groceries.

- kaitlyn k

Great for a big family. Lots of room and seating.

Love the three rows of seating. Also love the back trunk space. Looks so nice on the outside.

- Corrinne E

great if you're taking a road trip because it has so much room

Good vehicle, but tends to come up with major repairs every other year and under 100000 miles

I love it. It has enough space for my kids to all bring friends. Runs great, and is reliable

- Kaitlin S

The third row is very helpful and allows me the extra space we need.

I love the size of the vehicle. It allows me to carry 7 people and supplies comfortably.

- Patti S

That it's great for awhile but there's a known ABS sensor problem that no one, not even Chevy corporate, knows how to fix.

I loved my car until an ABS and stabilitrak sensor kept going off and no one can fix it.

- Shel B

HUGE... as in, sometimes it can be hard to maneuver.

It is VERY big. I liked it enough when we first got it, but it is now showing its age.

- Dan C

The struts wore out on the back hatch have to be replaced and the air will not blow out of the dash at the moment.

3rd row seats, captains chairs in back seat, great gas mileage, roomy for a big family

i like the size, it holds a lot of people or stuff, it drives well, has good features

- wendy b

I like the Traverse, it is great for hauling things like groceries and comfortable for 4 people. It is not as great with more than 4 adults as the back seat and the middle seat are rather cramped.

- Amy M

Good safe vehicle for family, and more stylish than minivan

Good size, nice features, esp. radio controls on steering wheel

- Beth F

very comfortable and smooth ride ride

Has lots of room. Smooth ride. Quiet ride. Decent gas mileage.

- Robert S

Fits 7 people with luggage and stroller with walkable aisle through middle row

Like size. dislike gas mileage. Like 3rd row. Like DVD player
