Issues with the 2004 Chevy venture.
Electric window and door locks switch keeps going out. Have to replace about once a year. No rhyme or reason the switches keep going out. Also.. There is a leak from somewhere the front passenger floorboard keeps getting wet. Believed to be the air conditioning until.

I love the automatic door for easy access.
No problems just need a bigger vehicle. I drive for uber so I need something with more storage room and seating for at least 8 people. I am a mother of a child with special needs and need to earn an income to pay for his therapy. All in all this car has been great.

A interesting detail is how the seats can go down.
I never had any sort of problem with my car. It's in good shape. Like how it has a built in car seat. Another thing I like is that it can fit up to 8 people. It holds up to its promise and has good mileage. Looks amazing on both inside and outside. The seats are really comfy and can lay back like a bed.

Don't buy one this age, it will rust away on you.
It rides very well but it rusted out fast. I don't normally buy Chevys but I thought this was a good deal. My mistake, it has been a money pit!

Adjusting to a larger vehicle: made easy.
I despised having to consider driving a van. I have always said I will not be that mom, but when I got the news I was pregnant with twins I knew the time was near. I bought a 2004 Chevy venture. Immediately, my two oldest kids loved it. Of course for me it took some adjusting, I was use to driving a smaller car. The adjustment didn't take long. It rides very smooth, get pretty decent mileage. The gas gauge did give out so I have to track my miles. It hold a 16 gallon gas tank, and I get just over 300 miles per tank.

The most important thing anyone should know about my vehicle is that the thermostat went out after owning it for 4 years
I own a 2004 chevy venture. It is the first mini van i have ever owned, and i would highly recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a van.

Easy to get in and out with rooms for family
My husband and I love this car because it is easy to get in and out. We have plenty enough room over head and around. Also one of our kids can fit in the seat with one built in booster seat which can be folded up, so it is an extra. It is a good van for a small family to go here and there. We have gone for family trips cross country many with this van and have no problem.

Great family vehicle and safe and reliable. Lots of room with easy to use amenities.
It's extremely reliable and has quite a few convenient features like automatic sliding door and premium sound.

It is a full size minivan and does well for traveling.
I really like that it can hold my large family. I don't dislike anything.

This is a great, long-lasting van! It has been very dependable and a great family vehicle.
We bought our van new in January 2005. It has been super reliable and has not needed very much major work on it the whole time we've owned it.

Great family car, would definitely recommend especially for those with large families seats eight people.
Love the size, makes it easier to travel. Has a few unusual quirks that are troublesome, but the mechanic can never find anything wrong. Gets really good mileage for a venture.

Very roomy I am able to fit my power chair in back and still have room.
Power windows poor locks plenty if room for cargo up until 2 yrs ago very reliable replaced transmission 2 yrs ago rusting really bad underneath good gas mileage smooth comfy routine maintenance had 160000 miles on it engine good power doors no longer work and sliding door gets stuck.

It's old and very rusty but still running
It has plenty of room for my family but it's rusty from many years in Michigan and has quite a few miles

There are too many different little problems that require attention- it doesn't just work and it's not reliable for regular use.
My van has several small "bugs" that I have dealt with since I bought it. The headlights and tail lights frequently need to be changed. It takes a minimum of 3 tries to start every time. The engine is placed in such a way that "simple" repairs, like replacing a spark plug on cylinder 1 require that the entire engine be unmounted and shifted to gain enough room to reach that one cylinder head. I bought it used, but the quirks and kinks that I go through to keep it running make me wish I hadn't bought it at all.

This car has a lot of space to haul almost anything. This feature is great
With my Chevrolet Venture, I would say that it is very practical. With the purchase of almost any car, it feels so depreciated, as soon as it is bought. There are some blind-spots that could be more visible. There could be more power, sometimes feels depleted, low. There is a lot of room, space, but the space seems unbalanced at times. And finally, the gas mileage is ok, at best. Would love to see more gas mileage.

The interesting thing about my vehicle is that it is still running.
My van has been amazing I bought it back in 2015 and so far it has been a great running vehicle I have had it for five years and only had one issue so far however I do hope to upgrade in the future. So far it is still really good on gas and fits my entire family but I wish it had more features and I wish I had a better working radio.

Can have electrical issues if not properly maintained.
I love the size of the vehicle and how it drives. I wish both doors were automatic, that the windows rolled down versus popping out.
accountCircle Leann R on July 8, 2020
I do not know of any thing specific.
I like all the space, I can haul lots of stuff, I can also carry the biggest share of my family, I dislike the gas mileage,.

Fabulous and easy to operate powered sliding side doors!
The Chevrolet venture offers a very comfortable ride for drivers and passengers! It is always been a dependable van and good on gas! I love the automatic sliding doors! And it has a great panoramic windows which makes it easy to see other vehicles around you!

Don't get a flat. The spare is a temp and it's probably rusted under the car.
It takes me every place I want to go. I only have to fill it up once a month. With a lift on the back I can take my husband and his wheelchair everywhere. It's a 2004 so it is starting to have a whole lot of problems.

2004 Chevy Venture - reliable and not too ugly.
It is a good and reliable van. Automatic sliding doors. Lots of room in all seats, and tons of room in the trunk. We have recently had issues with the power steering but outside of that it has been very reliable. Obviously it is an older vehicle with a good amount of miles but the engine still runs strong.
accountCircle Alexander R on April 19, 2020
The back seats can fold down for more storage
It seats 8, and can store a lot. However, it is getting old and some parts are wearing out.
accountCircle Matt K on April 8, 2020
Some things out of battery.
The van has a hundred and seventy thousand miles on it and it is incredibly reliable I drove from Florida to Arizona with the whole back completely full of property and didn't have one single problem. The only thing that had to be changed was the battery.

Its is like a member of the family. We depend on it daily. It was a gift from my wife's grandfather. Its reliable, decent on gas, and fits the whole family. All six of us.
How reliable this minivan is. It never quits. And has been around for a long time
accountCircle Doug J on January 6, 2020
It is a great multipurpose vehicle that I depend on all the time!!!
It is reliable. Fits my family of 6 comfortably. Is descent with gas mileage. It is basically a part of the family.
accountCircle june K on January 2, 2020
The seats can be removed or lowered to make more room. You can remove one seat or all of them, lower one of them or all of them. It is very versatile.
It has a lot of room and the seats can be removed to make extra room for big items. I feel safe in the van. It has lasted a long time. It is a good vehicle. There is nothing that I dislike

Electrical nightmare, falling apart
If it was in good condition when I bought it I would love it but I bought it used as it has been nothing but problems. I have replaced the whole front end and the issues worse than before. The car parts have to be ordered because no one carries them and there is an electrical problem the windows don't go down the ac doesn't work the heat controls don't work
accountCircle Matt C on October 14, 2019
It's a shame Chevy doesn't make a minivan any more.
It is very roomy, and a comfortable ride. The power sliding doors often malfunction, so I quit having them repaired, and just operate them manually. I will not ever get the power sliding door option again. All other maintenance has been minimal. The car is generally very reliable.
accountCircle Lidija R on September 25, 2019
Reliable roomy and first 10 years no major repairs started rusting early on
Runs good average gas mileage roomy until certainly no major repairs had to replace transmission and electric doors is rusting on bottom

Dependable vehicle, that can go on long or short rides.
I like my vehicle it has a smooth ride, feels like a cadillac, great air, Very warm in winter, and cold on summer, comfortable seating, 4 captain chairs that make you feel like a king.
accountCircle Nathan S on August 13, 2019
It's a good vehicle, just not great.
It is falling apart some but mostly reliable. It do withstand a tornado and a road trip to the Midwest.
accountCircle Jessica J on August 7, 2019
It's a good van for a work. Not to much for families.
Its old a lot of things are breaking or falling apart. It is also too small I need a large transport/transit van that can hold 12 people. I would also enjoy a van that was newer.
accountCircle Serena H on July 31, 2019
It's a good vehicle for a long time
It has enough room for my family. It doesn't break down very often and when it does it's usually an easy fix. It doesn't have enough storage space.
accountCircle Vanessa L on July 1, 2019
Great on gas and needs some tlc.
The breaks are a bit touchy. It does drive smoothly and it is great on gas. It needs tires and an oil change. It has rust along the bottom. I would still buy another one in a different color and a newer year. My van would be perfect once all the maintenance is done.
accountCircle Tara R on June 23, 2019
3 rows, fits 8 people, the rows fold down so you can fit bigger items in the back.
It fits 8 people in the 3 rows. I have had to spend more money on fixing it then it's worth.

The Venture Van Adventures!
We love having a van! There's room for the whole family! Our favorite feature is the automatic door on the passenger side.
accountCircle Mary r on May 16, 2019

Practical and cost efficient
Overall we really like the Chevy Venture. The shocks don't seems to last as long as we would like and the electric door doesn't always work but other than that we really like our Chevy Venture. It is practical and has easy access to the rear seats. Would definitely consider buying one again.
accountCircle Olivia R on May 12, 2019
Venture? More like adventure
I love the van itself, it's just a bit outdated now and has wear on the brakes, wheel bearing, and window switches. Very reliable if you take care of it, though. The interior holds up very well, and all features seem to last a decent amount of time considering the fact that it is a fifteen year old vehicle at this point.
accountCircle Shannon N on May 12, 2019
Very good on gas and mileage is fairly low. Even though its a 2004. We love it.
It is old but good. We've kept up on all maintenance. That is very important. When purchasing any vehicle always check it over, check mileage, etc.. It is very important. Always choose what you can afford as far as payments. Get something that is suitable for you or your family.

My vehicle overheats when it goes highways speeds.
I currently own a Chevy Venture. I would not recommend this vehicle because I have experienced great trouble with it overheating. After thorough research, a mechanic gave me bad news that my head gasket was leaking. The entire dashboard relay is has a complete wiring problem as well. None of the gauges work.
accountCircle Jimmy E on April 16, 2019
The biggest problem with the van is the fuel gage f2 doesn't work so we have to be careful not to run out.
This is just an average vehicle used as a daily driver for the household. The van is comfortable and relatively safe and dependable. It gets about 20 mpg on open road and about 15 mpg in town.
accountCircle Christina C on March 31, 2019
I have a lot of room in it I can put 7 people in it an put other stuff in there to.

Very reliable and very comfortable to drive
This has probably been one of the best vehicles I've ever had. It has been very low maintenance. It has gotten my family from Arizona to Ohio safely and hasn't required much more than general maintenance. The only wish I had would be that it's not getting the best mileage per gallon of gasoline
accountCircle aimee p on February 6, 2019

I really like having a Chevy Venture Van because with three kids it is very handy, especially the automatic sliding door.

It's functional and roomy but far from perfect in many ways.
The cruise control is broken, it has bad bearings, and the a/c isn't strong. But it runs and the a/c does work. And there's room for everyone and shopping.
accountCircle Debby B on October 24, 2018
Still running well after all these years.
Windows do not go down anymore. Not great gas mileage. Love the amount of comfortable seating. Still runs well.
