Chrysler concorde. Where luxury meets sport.

My car is fully loaded. Power seats, windows, everything. It is a luxury car but looks very sleek and sporty. It has a big v6 engine that is very responsive yet it is great on gas. It has a big trunk with plenty of room for cargo. The interior is leather and has plenty of space for my kids.

Just because it is a grandma car does not mean it is bad.

Was reliable for 6 years until the timing belt blew. Not terribly great on gas mileage but very large and good for learning how to drive. Very comfortable inside and easy to drive. The car sat seldomly used and drive very well for being as old as it is.

The car is old and is only having issues that old cars would have. Unfortunately, the timing belt blew on it, in February and it lead to me having to get a whole new engine for the car.

Recall
Report Receipt Date:
NHTSA Campaign:
00V180
Summary:
On non-ABS equipped passenger vehicles, the brake master cylinder piston retainer snap ring may have been bent inward during the assembly process. The master cylinder piston may be in a "brake applied" position due to the damaged piston retainer snap ring. When the piston is in the applied position, the fluid compensation ports are closed which results in a brake drag condition. If the brake overheats, brake fading could lead to an increase in needed stopping distance. Should a driver not anticipate the extra stopping distance, this condition could cause a crash.
Consequence:
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification began July 24, 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact DaimlerChrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
chevronDown icon
Recall
Report Receipt Date:
NHTSA Campaign:
00V366
Summary:
Certain passenger vehicles, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems." Some of the owner's manuals for these vehicles are missing instructions that provide a step-by-step procedure, including diagrams, for properly attaching a child restraint system's tether strap to the tether anchorage. In the event of a crash, the child seat may not be properly attached, increasing the risk of injury to the child.
Consequence:
Remedy:
Owners will be provided with an addendum to the owner's manuals. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification began Nov. 12, 2000. Owners who do not receive the free owner's manual addendum within a reasonable time should contact Daimler Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

Recall
Report Receipt Date:
NHTSA Campaign:
00V034
Summary:
The seat belt shoulder height adjustable turning loop (ATL) top mounting bolt was inadequately manufactured. The affected mounting bolts may not withstand sufficient force to function properly in certain impact situations, increasing the risk of injury to a belted occupant.
Consequence:
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the upper ATL bolt. Owner notification began March 13, 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
chevronDown icon
Recall
Report Receipt Date:
NHTSA Campaign:
00V033
Summary:
A manufacturing molding error can prevent the operation of the G-lock and tilt lock functions on some of the driver's side seat belt retractors. If this occurs in a frontal crash situation, driver protection from the seat belt may be reduced, increasing the risk of injury.
Consequence:
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the left front seat belt retractor assemblies. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification was to begin during March 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
chevronDown icon
Recall
Report Receipt Date:
NHTSA Campaign:
99V343
Summary:
The passenger air bag inflator assembly contains an incorrect inflator charge amount. This condition could increase the risk of a passenger occupant injury under certain crash conditions.
Consequence:
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module with a correct module. Owner notification began Jan. 24, 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
