2005 pt cruiser, 135k miles and still fun to drive.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring

I bought this car as a used car in 2018, it had 135,000 miles on it. The lady that had it before me took great care of it. The only things I have had to do is get a new timing belt (it should have been done at 100,00 miles and replace some type of spring (?) In the back that made a noise when you would go over bumps. My mechanic told me it is a small problem pt cruiser has and he does about 100 repairs on these cars every year. It is not something that has to be fixed because it does not affect the car except to makes a rattling sound.

It is a Chrysler. I love them.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring

It is a rough ride. Can feel every bump and dip in the road. This base model as only one key door lock. It should have one in each front door. The window switches are located in the middle of dash and only driver or a front passenger has access. They need to be on each door so as not to distract driver if someone needs their window down. Also there should be access to open gate from inside the car or also with a lift lever without having to have the key in the gate lock.

Better looking than it is reliable.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring

It is only got 26,000 miles on it (yes, a 2005), yet a shocking number of things have needed repair, at a high cost, often things that should have taken tons of mileage to get to mechanical problems. It is very annoying that way. The trunk is minuscule. And there is a terrible blind spot - a seriously dangerous design flaw. It is unusually cute, though, has a lot of power, goes fast, and it is fun to drive.

It is got a really cool trunk that you can sit in!

I have had the cruiser for 6 years now and it is been a piece of junk. It is had nothing but problems since I got it. Like a new fuel pump, a used engine, a water pump with timing belt, an alternator, a hose that busted from my transmission, no air conditioner at all! But other than that it is a good car!

Overall good car, stylish and affordable.

Has a lot of room, very comfortable. Fell in love with this car the first time I seen it. Smooth driving, have had some issues with just basic routine check ups and maintenance. Great space with removable back seats to open up in to a wagon. Great for hauling items, such a furniture, groceries, etc.

Great mid sized affordable car. Can sleep in it in a pinch.

Thing is a champ. Been in some shady situations and it always comes thru. Great miles per gallon and smooth highway driving. Seems to attract deer though, as I have encountered 2 AMD escorted them to the other side unfortunately. Again it's a beast and continues to power on with minimal problems.

Sporty and roomy. Lots of fun with turbo acceleration.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring

Very reliable vehicle with sporty features. Top easily goes down with the push of a button. Closed it shields outside noise and tight against wet weather. Trunk space much more generous than expected. Same with back seat seating. And travels as a mid size or larger car.
