Looks and feels new all the time!
Tire pressure keeps turning on but I think it is a sensor in the car. I could be wrong but I haven't gotten it checked because my tires are still good. Other than that it is good on gas and runs pretty well! This would be a good car for a couple that wants a semi sport car and a really nice car. Has both looks and is easy to handle!
accountCircle Cherie S
The stock stereo sounds awesome.. Heats up and cools off very fast.
I love the car so much everything is power and easy to maintain. It is a very comfortable car to ride for long periods of time. It is easy to drive and safe and dependable to drive in rain or snow. Has 3 hook up's for 3 car seats hooks is the ba windows of car.
accountCircle Cornelius F
It is one of the safest cars that I have ever owned.
My vehicle is dependable quiet when running, it fits my family and had very few problems. Like the color and it travels well on short and long trips.
accountCircle Brandon G
All around great vehicle.
I don't have any complaints about my 2014 Dodge Avenger. It is a great car and very reliable. I give it 5 stars for comfort! Perfect for everyday driving and long trips.
accountCircle Beth V
Runs well I feel safe driving it.
Good on gas, like everything about it. The only thing I do not like is I have to get it lined up to much.
accountCircle Shannon A
The fastest car I've ever owed
I love my car it goes from 0 to 40 and 2.5 seconds. It has an adjustable seat that goes for back up and down. The gas mileage only gets 21 miles to the gallon and as of right now the brakes are going out.
accountCircle Alyssa R
Comfortable and reliable car.
I really like my car. What attracted me to it was the body style. It is sporty but not too big. The size is perfect for me. I like the color scheme of the interior and the green lights of the dash and the buttons at night. It is fairly comfortable to ride in. The backseat can be a little uncomfortable. I had some difficulties installing a car seat. It was hard to get to the lower anchors. The only problem I have had was the switch for the drivers side window broke. Other than that it has been a good and reliable car.
accountCircle Danie S
The interesting part of this car is how smooth it drives.
No problems so far. It has been a very reliable car and the comfort of the seats are great. It seems to be decent on gas but could be a little better. I think this is a great overall car to purchase if you do not travel long distances as the gas miles could be improved with a different car to travel in.

Hate this car
Car is bad been in shop for everything now motor is fixing to blow up after I got a tune up its one thing after another lemon don't want it
accountCircle Devin M
Used 2014 Dodge Avenger sucks.
Performance mainly and is always breaking down. I bought it for a good price but the quality is terrible and the floor material is too fragile and rips but does great in the snow. The Audio and radio systems are nice but the rest of the car isn't impressive and constant electrical issues. If you're going to get a Avenger car get a new one used ones are useless.
accountCircle Rene Peters
Heater issues
Heat problem on the passengers side, blows hot on drivers side and ice cold on passenger side. It causes the windshield to fog up. I looked this up and tons of people having same problem it has to be a defect from the factory, yet no recall for this and it's around $2000 to fix.

Multiple Probs !!
Definitely not. Purchased the car from a Dodge Dealership in 2018. Had to replace the throttle body less than six months of driving it. A little less than $1000. Then the air stopped working. $ 350.to repair. Now, less than a year the wiring harness for the throttle body needs REPLACING. Anywhere from $ 980 to 1300 repair. Never again would I purchase an Avenger. Is this why they no longer produce the car ? Makes one wonder.
accountCircle Stay
Reliability and I don't have that reliability and I don't have that with my car because it doesn't take me where I need to do anymore because it's constantly breaking down and my fiance is sick with stage 4 cancer and I can't even get a reliable car
That's perfect my purchased my 2014 Dodge Avenger in 2017 the first year I had it was okay but that's three years I've had it a throttle body has gone twice as his issues with does knocking in my gas all kinds of crazy s**t and because of the negative equity that I have it in because I paid a whole year of payment for freaking interest and I can't get rid of the guys in a piece of s**t and number you're getting nothing for it because it's got negative equity switch it to be paid for right now so no the car is giving me nothing but problems and I'm sorry I ever got it
accountCircle Vanna V
Dodge avenger is not the greatest.
I am driving my second dodge avenger and to be honest, I do not like it much more than the first avenger I had which was a 2008. Every time I turn on the car, one of the lights is on the dashboard. The engine has issues which have not been resolved and I do not plan on buying a dodge ever again.
accountCircle Cheryl Q
Nothing interesting about it, it's a car.
I just do not like it, my husband got it, it is pretty basic and we really haven't had any problems with it, I just do not like it, not much else to say, its silver with cloth seats and I wanted one that had pretty much everything in it especially tinted windows however it does get decent gas mileage.
accountCircle Wally S
It is a Dodge. I will never but American again.
Very cramped on passenger side. No legroom. Not impressed with gas mileage. Does not have an ice cream tray.

Average car for over 60 car.
As I do not drive as much now the car is satisfying. I am glad that it is a v6 as it has some get up and go. I haven't had any problems with it at all so that has been a plus. I most often had a convertible and I miss that feature. I prefer buying American!

Her name is Gertrude and she is alright.
My vehicle has been reliable for the past three years. The comfortability is decent but not amazing. The stereo is outdated but works great along with the sound system installed. The style is little ugly but it is a car and works so I am grateful. All in all, the car is 3 out of 5.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Erin B.

It is got good gas mileage, and is comfortable to drive. My son like it because it is called an avenger, it is got a good turning radius and a smooth drive, during road trips the leg room is nice. The steering wheel has controls for the radio which is a feature I use a lot.

likeFilled Lisa C.

This is a blacktop edition. So it looks very nice with the rims and spoiler. It is a reliable vehicle. It drives good even in the snow. It has plenty of room for a single person or a family. It has five seats and a large trunk for groceries.

likeFilled Charlotte C.

Reliable, fast, loud speakers, lots of space. Easy to drive, luxury, easy to clean. Not a lot of maintenance needed to upkeep. Not a very pricey car at all, parts are fairly affordable and easy to find. Not a lot of avengers on the market anymore considering it is no longer made.

likeFilled Ariel G.

It has to be spacious. It has to have good gas mileage. It has to have LED tail lights. The brighter the better. Must have minimal blind spots. It has to have comfortable seats. Preferably cloth seats.

likeFilled Dennis D.

Has been very reliable with a smooth drive. It has not had any major mechanical issue. Know that it is 6 years old it still looks sharp and stands up to other sporty sedans. It is too bad that 2014 was the last year the cat was produced.

likeFilled Heather R.

Safety features, roomy backseat, two gloves boxes, large trunk,a lot of storage, CD player, cigarette lighter, four cup holders, moveable armrest with two armrest containers, change holder and organizer and good fuel mileage.

likeFilled Kimberly S.

The vehicle is very roomy. It's a very smooth ride. It is great on gas. The speakers are great. The trunk space is massive. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone that is looking for luxury, space and something to work great with kids.

likeFilled Karrie T.

It is a. Average car really. Good gas mileage so far just routine repairs and maintenance. It has one really bad blind spot for me but may be because I am short. I personally love the color of my car. I bought mine used and there does not seem to have been any hidden issues with it and nothing to fix until after it turned 5 years old.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Erin B.

I really cannot think of any. It is a pain in the butt to change the battery, but other than that I have really enjoyed my car, typically I drive SUVs but the roominess of this car is pretty comparable.

dislikeFilled Lisa C.

It is a 4 cylinder. So when driving in the mountains there is some lag. This is the last model, they quit making my vehicle. So now the resale value is not as high as it should be. There have been a few recalls on this model also.

dislikeFilled Charlotte C.

Not always a lot to complain about, there's a very few amount of mechanical problems, some kind of fan or something constantly knocks when the car is unlocked, or when the air conditioner is turned to the lowest temperature. Otherwise it just takes a moment to warm up in the mornings, seats are hard to get stains out of.

dislikeFilled Ariel G.

There's really nothing wrong with my current vehicle. I would prefer a nicer stereo system, but it does have multiple spaces to put multiple speakers so that is a good thing. It does have a little bit of a blind spot and it is not the best but it is something to get used to.

dislikeFilled Dennis D.

The biggest issue is that I think there is a blind spot on the driver's side when you are looking for other vehicles. I have to use the rear view mirror and taking a glance to make sure there are no other vehicles.

dislikeFilled Heather R.

Rusting at bottom of doors, peeling at top of spoiler, roof fabric is loose in a few places, satellite radio does not work, the air for the tires dings repeatedly with every little weather change, and the seat belts don't always go up on their own.

dislikeFilled Kimberly S.

I really have no complaints about this vehicle. It has been a great car since the day I got it. I bought it new off of the lot and I have had it now for six years and the only issue I have had is the brake light will come on for no reason. It has done this since day one. But this is not an issue that you are going to run across with each and every avenger.

dislikeFilled Karrie T.

Blind spot that makes it hard to see when backing out of a parking place or sometimes just switching from one lane to the other. It is on both sides. It seems like the shape of the car made it to wide towards the back seat and you really just cannot see around it even with nothing else in the way.

We bought it used and I think it was a pretty good value. We bought it at 2 years old for $10,000. I suspect we may have been able to get it a little cheaper.

On average about 7-8k with low mileage. . It is a good value if the car has low mileage, little wear and tear and has been maintained.
Laura D.

It varies on the year and type of dodge you get mine was used and I got it for 15000 and yes it is a good value.
Nicole W.
New it listed for 25,000.00 but that was with quite a few options. It is a very good value compared to some of the junk on the market now
